This continues to be a very weird month for distraction behaviour. I don't think I can be too mad at it as the distraction behaviour is producing useful things rather than the bad sort of distraction behaviour when I end up playing computer games and doing nothing for a week.
I've got some good news for people patiently waiting for new fiction from me. I wrote a new short story. I also wanted to make damn sure I actually finished the short story before I wrote this update. I was hoping to finish it Friday or Saturday, but I ended up having to navigate a pile of other tasks and was only able to finish it... uh... five minutes ago.
This is a marked improvement over the previous occasions I've been dragged away with a 'hot' story idea only to have it not finish or take three weeks to write instead of a couple of days. This took a week. It's a little longer than intended and I'll need to clean it up when typing it up, but overall, went fairly smoothly.
A story event featuring demons... if I didn't write something for that people really would think I was dead!
And by happy coincidence a suitable idea budded from the filthy little black cells of my brain and this one had enough legs for me to write it all the way to conclusion.
It involves a succubus and a very exclusive magic act.
My plan is to give higher tiers an early sneak peek at it when it's typed up, and then post it to the Literotica story event sometime in September.
This week has been a rather strange diversion, but I think it's got the writing gears moving again, which isn't a bad thing.
I've also received the preliminary sketches for the next batch of harlots. I really need to get these mini-boss harlots written as marwmellow is going to catch me up at this rate! This is the last batch for the HoHH 1.5 demo. Once I have them I'll look into putting a proper public demo out.
A weird week, but a productive one. Not quite in what I need to be productive in, but it will be nice to finally put something out for the long-suffering fiction fans.
Back to that particular story. There are 3 characters (2 protagonists and 1 support) in need of names. If you'd like to be 'immortalised', put yours (or any other name) in the comments below. The three characters are all typical British university students (with the support one being frightfully posh). None of the characters are particularly sympathetic, so I'll drop that warning in advance. The last line might be one of the coldest I've ever written for any story.
Anyway. Weird week. New story written. Hopefully, with that out of the way there will be no more distractions and I'll finally write Temptacia's scenario. Right, brain? You will co-operate next week, won't you?

I'm weirdly busy this week for some reason. This might have to be a shorter spotlight than normal. This week it's the lovely Amoura D'Coeur.
I think the idea for her was a more straightforward implementation of the gimmicks used by Osculia Suffocati and the Boob Fairies. Rather than their repeat visits be slightly tweaked versions of their regular scenarios, the repeat visit concept is incorporated into their mechanics. Amoura D'Coeur is a very straightforward implementation of that. She's completely harmless and won't kill the player at all on the first visit, but will almost certainly Bad End him if he sees her a second time.
It's a nice simple mechanic. Fairly easy to figure out, but might catch the player out the first time if they mistakenly think she's a 'safe' choice. Even after the player figures out, she's a nice 'narrower' – similar to Morticia Rose. Her showing up for a second visit limits the options for that round, increasing the tension. The mulligan token is a safety valve to allow the player to escape certain-death combinations such as Morticia, Sgriosar and repeat-visit Amoura.
Amoura is a good fit for the 4th faction. She's a regular succubus and the harlots in that faction tend to have slightly more obscure conditions for determining good or bad end.
Onto the in-universe lore.
Amoura is also a good fit for that group in lore. They are kind of The Madam's 'gals' – the core succubus prostitutes working in the House. Like Succuba, Amoura has a good understanding of The Madam's 'eccentricities' when it comes to 'fair play'. She is quite a powerful succubus, with a range of charm and restraint magic that would make most men completely helpless against her if she decided to go all out. Instead she chooses to give herself one of the strictest handicaps. She won't kill a guest on the first visit at all, even in situations where The Madam allows it. As a reward for this, she is bumped up The Madam's list and gets to see more men and earlier than her power level would normally allow.
As a rough rule of thumb, I have her power level as above average for a standard succubus. If the harlots were ranked purely on power rather than their willingness to play along with The Madam, with Tier 1 the weakest and Tier 3 the most powerful, Amoura would be somewhere around high Tier 2/low Tier 3.
I love the marwmellow art for her. Classic sexy succubus. There is a minor discrepancy in eye colour. I like how they are in the art, so I'll update the text to match.
This was on odd week. I started with the intent of working on Temptacia, then got sucked away onto something else.
That something else has been bugging me for a while - the houseofhellishharlots website.
With a new fancy HoHH 1.5 demo out and plans to make that fully public in a month or so to drum up more interest, I felt the website needed a proper overhaul.
So, the old Wombo abstract AI art is gone. I've replaced it with art from the game (aside from the AI-generated title page).
I've switched the harlot tab to display all the publicly revealed 'hell harlot' profiles. I didn't want to lose the other artwork people have commissioned, so I created another gallery tab for that (I'm really pleased with how that page turned out). It also means I finally get to include the later Thraeh pieces commissioned by Atlantis27 I kept saying I was going to put up, but never got around to (sorry that took so long).
I also tested it properly on a mobile device. The menu should now be the correct one and it should display in a much more friendly way for browsing.
It's still a work in progress, but I think this is a vast improvement over the previous website.
So, a productive week. Not quite the thing I thought I'd be working on at the start of the week, but productive nonetheless.
As for Temptacia, I'm hoping I've finally removed some of the snags that were holding up the scenario. At this point I think I'm out of distractions and can hopefully give her my full attention next week. Apologies to the people eagerly awaiting her. I want to make sure she lives up to the hype!

I've been working on the houseofhellishharlots website revamp all week, so the spotlight is a day later than usual. This week we're on to the 4th faction, which means a lot of conventional succubi. And I'll start them off with Pix Decipula.
She's one of the earlier harlots I wrote, so I'm a little hazy on the inspiration. I think I wanted a conventional succubus, but with a slightly more unconventional character than the usual seductive predators I write. That resulted in a succubus with a "can't be bothered" attitude similar to a very apathetic teen.
Her mechanics are fairly straightforward. She gives the player a choice of locations to fuck her. On the chair is a very quick but safe blowjob, the sofa requires a relatively easy stat check, and the bed is a trap with an auto Bad End.
That is the main kink for the scenario. The player gets stuck on the bed and is completely helpless as Pix slowly succubus drains all his energy.
There were a few changes to this scenario. In the rough draft the bed scene was much longer and had Pix taunt the player as she counted down every ejaculation. This was making the scenario too long and complex, so I cut it down. My intention was to recycle that material for another harlot, but I haven't got around to it yet.
The other change was to the stat checks on the sofa. Originally AGI and DEX were a single stat. I needed to split them for some later harlots and then had to go back and change some previous harlots. Pix's sofa sex is checking if the player has the stamina and technique to last long enough to give her a good fuck. Technique easily falls under DEX. Stamina was a little more difficult. Originally it fell under STR, but eventually I decided to stick it under AGI. My thinking is STR is for weightlifters, AGI is athletes, and DEX covers manual dexterity activities like playing the piano.
Mechanically, the scenario doesn't fit within the faction all that well (I did end up with a theme for it of sorts), but that's pretty much true of a lot of the early harlots, and it's not so much of a mismatch I need to move her somewhere else.
And now the lore...
...which is not as defined for this group. Originally I had ideas for a few different groupings of succubi. There would be a group of 'posh' succubi, similar to elite courtesans to lords and other high-class individuals. They would all look really good, but be very bitchy and not as devoted to causing pleasure. There would also be a group of 'slutty' succubi, that would be similar to lower-class whores – very crude and lewd, but also capable of giving a man a very good time. Lastly there were the pleasure-focused succubi – they regard giving pleasure in the same way as monk with martial arts. The latter group was pretty much the sensuality faction repeated, and both the posh succs and slutty succs were combined into a generic succubus faction.
This is kind of the "House" faction. They're all affiliated with The Madam and are the closest to behaving like whores in a regular brothel. When I fill this faction out and expand the lore there will likely be internal rivalries between the posh and sluttier succubi.
Pix probably aligns more with sluttier group. She is very very lazy and regards everything The Madam asks her to do as a bit of a chore.
She gets away with this laziness on account of possessing a lot of natural power. She has the potential to be a very powerful succubus, but can't really be bothered to apply herself. This is reflected in all 3 options. Her blowjob is so good she can bring a man to climax with frightening speed. However, on the sofa she's content to let the man do all the work. And when it comes to actually capturing a man for a full drain, she utilises a very ordinary (for succubi) bed trap rather than complicated charm or restraint magic.
If what you have works, why bother to learn new ways, is her attitude.
Art is again by Marwmellow. I think he got her attitude perfect in her face. :)
With a full HoHH 1.5 demo out with artwork I thought it was time to update the old website. I've replaced the Wombo AI-generated art with some art from the game. I've also fixed the menu to work on mobile devices, which has been needed for a while!
It's still a work in progress.
The harlot profile page and harlot gallery (of other art) both look okay, I think, although I'd like to add the functionality to click on an image and see a bigger version. Not sure how that's done, so some research required.
I've combined some of the other pages together.
I think the backgrounds (harlot pinup over room background) might be a little too busy for those pages. I might need to either increase the opacity of the text background or simplify them a little.
Mobile is still my personal bugbear. The menu should be fixed and both of the harlot galleries look okay on my test device. I still need to sort out the fonts and backgrounds to improve readability.
Overall, though, I hope it's an improvement.
I'll keep tinkering away on it. All feedback gratefully accepted!
Update 24.08.09 I felt the backgrounds were a little too "busy" on some of the pages, so I simplified them with a similar style to the game.
As the artwork is now 'out' as part of the recent HoHH1.5 demo, the art reveals for all subscription tiers are now the Hell Harlot profile reveals for all tiers. (You get them a month before they go up on my blog and twitter.)

I really like this piece. It's a moody piece of fantasy art that would also fit in a more SFW fantasy project, which suits our moody little fairy girl perfectly.
I do have the questline to 'save' her plotted out. I need to get the big mini-boss scenarios written first.
Now that a relatively stable HoHH 1.5 demo is out, I've switched my attention back to the Temptacia scenario. Most of this week was spent typing it up and getting it back on track.
Typed up, the paizuri segment is over 4K words. This is a wee bit longer than I'd like considering she has 5 separate scenes. I'm going to clean that up (including the inconsistencies where the player gets undressed twice) and then get back to the other 4 scenes (which are in progress but a little disjointed).
And also try not to get too carried away. Each of her sub scenes ideally should be no more than 2-3K words. I like boobs, so I'll let that one pass, but the others shouldn't be as long! :D
For the other work, I was originally planning on tidying up the houseofhellishharlots website. Instead I had an idea for how to visually represent the Buxom Lolibaba's charms and ran with it.
The results seem fairly promising. It's bits of AI art composited together, but I think it will serve a purpose. I really need to sort out the website first, but I might start playing around with giving the Buxom Lolibaba a proper 'shop' interface. And maybe also look at displaying the charms on the character sheet as icons.
Getting Temptacia written and out is still the top priority. (And the other three Round 5 minibosses.)

While the harlot spotlights are a little moot now that the HoHH1.5 demo is out with all the art, I'll continue them. It gives higher tier subscribers access to the original raw scripts as well as some background info. Up this week is Cèis nan Cridheachan.
Cèis nan Cridheachan was the first of the succufairies to be written and it's a monster girl interpretation I'm really pleased about. When writing monster girls I tend to be biased towards the ones I like – succubi, slime girls, lamia, arachnes. This means other common types end getting neglected. I wanted to rectify this with HoHH and include other types that haven't featured much in my previous stories.
One of those types is fairies. When it comes to fairies and erotic stuff, there is the obvious problem of how to handle the size difference. The usual ways to go about this are to 1) have the fairy girl masturbate the penis using her whole body, 2) make the fairy very stretchy and able to function as a sort of living onahole, 3) have the fairy use naughty flowers as a proxy, or 4) use some size-changing magic to bridge the gap.
Because I'm Many-Eyed Hydra and unhealthily attracted to horror and other gross things, I found a 5). This takes inspiration from starfish. The fairy is too small to fit the penis inside her vagina, so she everts it, balloons it outside her body, and engulfs the penis that way. It creates a nice contrast of sounding weird and gross, but being described as feeling incredibly pleasurable when she does inflate it around a penis. Perfect for an erotic horror monster girl.
I was quite pleased with myself for this take, as I don't think anyone has done fairy girls like this (maybe for good reason!). It let me tackle a monster girl I don't normally write, and put a fresh spin on them. Cèis was the first, but I thought the idea was good enough to expand to other succufairy characters. I think it's good enough I'd like to use them in my stories at some point as well. Either as a H-space bestiary entry or maybe have Phil come across one.
Mechanically, the succufairies care about disposition. When commissioning the art I nearly got myself confused into thinking Balla-Balla was the slutty one and Cèis was the romantic one. They're both very slutty. Cèis is more of the stereotypical free-spirited fairy, so she likes humorous rather than serious people. Marwmellow's art does a good job of capturing her cheeky nature, I think.
Cèis is actually borderline Tier 1/Tier 2. The way I broke down the tiers is dependent on survival rates if the player knows nothing about the harlot. Tier 1s are looking for fringe characteristics (1s and 2s in stats) so it's fairly easy to stumble through their scenario. Tier 2s are closer to 50:50s, which fits disposition checks. And Tier 3s normally require something specific to survive, so a player is unlikely to just randomly stumble through their scenario. I think I had too many Tier 2s for the sensuality faction, so Cèis got bumped down into Tier 1.
The background lore is fairly barebones. The succufairies are lust demons that maybe inspired fairy myths on Earth. They have a similar spread of power levels to regular succubi and individuals may have different affiliations.
This is a theme I have with other non-succubus harlots in the House. There are groupings by race, but those individuals can be found in different factions (eg Both Calliophi and Anna Boa are lamias, but Calliophi is in the sensuality faction while Anna Boa is in the wrestling faction).
I hope you like the art and don't mind my rather twisted take on the standard sexy fairy girl.
As I mentioned in the last update, most of July was taken up with putting out the updated HoHH 1.5 demo. This meant work on Temptacia was pushed to the back seat. Now that the demo is out and relatively stable, I've been scratching away on Temptacia, so hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer for her.
As for the demo. You can find it on the houseofhellishharlots website here. The password to access it can be found in both the release post and should also now be in the pinned post.
The demo should hopefully be fairly stable. I put a lot of work in to making the mobile version a lot more playable than the previous version. That should roughly be okay now.
There are a few bugs I still need to fix. Manual refreshes causes some unwanted behaviour with the RNG. I also need to tweak the texts to make the descriptions line up with the art when there are discrepancies. And there are still the big changes of replacing the placeholder art for the UI and giving the game a proper enticing title screen.
Currently, it's a pretty good reflection of the first third of the game. The NPCs are in place as are all 36 of the harlots for the early part of the game (31 of them now have art).
My plan is to switch over completely to this from the text-only version as soon as all of the Round 5 mini-bosses have been written and implemented. This is where this feedback post comes in. I need to make sure everyone can play this version and that it is an improvement over the text-only version. This post is here to ask for people's feedback and helpful suggestions on how to improve this version.
Currently, I'm releasing through the website only. I can probably package everything up and also make it available here as a download. It's just a .html file with some additional folders to store the images. Computer users should be able to run it by double-clicking the .html file in the directory it's given in. Unfortunately, mobile is not as easy as this. This won't work, so I need to do some research on how to package it up for mobile versions (which I think is roughly half of you, from the results of a poll I conducted a while back). In the meantime, using the website is probably fine, although I will keep looking into how to make a downloadable version available.
As for within the game itself. Some ideas I was thinking about.
Additional art for H-scenes. This was something that was out-of-scope. To be blunt, I can't afford it. However, should people take a liking to a character enough to commission work of them engaged in more 'spicy' activities, I have tweaked the code to be able to add additional harlot art. This has already occurred (thanks Smithlfarrel!). I haven't said which harlot as I want it to be an unexpected pleasant surprise. I'll come clean in a week or so, and maybe talk about adding additional sex scene art then.
Text highlights. I was thinking certain things could be highlighted in text - gift names, character names, etc. Doing it wouldn't be too hard, but the search'n'replacing everything could be time-consuming.
Icons to represent ailments and charms. This is something I'd like to add, but it would also need tooltips to detail what the thing is when hovering the cursor over it.
Pictorial selection screens. For the gifts and The Buxom Lolibaba's charms, I think it would be an improvement if these had art. I think for the mobile version it would be more user-friendly if the player could pick the harlot by tapping her portrait.
Sounds? Might be out-of-scope. Not sure what to do for music. Most people go open-source, but that results in the same background themes everyone has already heard in Monmusu Quest and similar games. A 'splurt' sound effect might be fun to add. And maybe open-source bar hubbub type fx that can play in the background of that section. This is on the further end of stretch goals. I've got a heckuva lot more writing to do before even considering it!

This was a very busy week. A couple of weeks ago I put out the full HoHH1.5 demo for $5 and higher tiers.
There were problems...
Since then I've been fixing them and working on improvements. While the regular computer browser version is fairly stable, the screen layout for mobile devices was very rough and borderline unplayable. I've made a lot of changes there to font sizes, ui icon sizes, portrait layout and others, as well as adding code to make sure the scroll position is sent back to the top on entering a new passage. After all that I think (and hope!) I have a version that's not too far behind the regular computer/tablet version. Feedback is important here, so please drop comments with your thoughts after trying out the demo.
There are still some things to fix, but - fingers crossed - the HoHH1.5 demo does appear to be roughly stable.
I received the latest batch of harlot art and was able to add it right away. If you check out the demo now you should find a few more new succubus art you might not have seen before, like the lovely Amoura D'Coeur above.
There are now only 5 harlots remaining to get art in this version. I've just sent off the descriptions and commission details, so hopefully I'll be able to add them in a month-or-so's time. At this point the demo has jumped way ahead of the art reveals, but I'll still continue with the harlot spotlights and reveals. The regular reveals for all patrons will now be as the Hell Harlot profiles, which will make a nice little series to run alongside the game.
I also added another sneaky little extra. It's something I initially said I wouldn't put in, but the code change to allow it turned out to relatively straightforward. I'm going to be coy about it for now, because I think it will be a unexpected and pleasant surprise for people when they come across it. You have smithlfarrel to thank for that one.
I'll reveal what it is in a couple of weeks. I don't think all harlots will get additional 'surprises', but the code is now there to open up the option for it. My budget is sadly limited to making sure all the harlots have regular pinups and portraits, but were I to receive additional art... ;)
Unfortunately, while I did make great progress finally getting the full HoHH1.5 demo out for all patrons (the details are in a previous post if you missed it), this did come at the expense of writing Temptacia. It was pretty much all on hands on deck to sort out the bad mobile version, which meant I had to abandon my usual schedule to get that sorted.
This might not be a bad thing. One of the problems I've had with Temptacia is the writing on her has been a little disjointed as I've been bounced from one thing to another. Now that the other things seem a lot more stable, I'm hoping I will finally have time to properly sit down and get her written.
The release schedule will continue to be erratic and 'as things are done' for the time being. This means there won't be an end of month release. July's release was the HoHH1.5 demo. There will probably be a lot of mini-releases as I continue to polish it and add more art as it comes in. Temptacia will be released as soon as she's written and implemented. Then, depending on how the subsequent 'mini-bosses' turn out, I'll try to get back to a stable end-of-month release schedule again.
These are slightly less necessary now that the proper HoHH1.5 demo is out (see previous posts), but it's still a nice way to give $5 and higher tiers a little extra with the original scripts, a look at the initial sketch, and some background lore on the character.
Continuing the awkward 3rd faction, it's time to talk about Hati Krim.
I think the initial idea for her was a strange blue-skinned alien babe giving a luxurious cream massage. I thought it would be fun to juxtapose sexy with grotesque and have her body covered in pulsing Resident Evil style veins. These veins supply the cream to her hands (and vagina), and then pump the cum out of the body once she gets a man spurting.
She's another one where I got a little confused as to whether she should be in the faction or not. So confused, in fact, I originally told Marwmellow to not give her any faction-identifying insignia as I might move her later. Then I reread the script and realised she does talk about being a Devotee of Priti Nāndyāh quite a lot.
She fits the theme of this grouping very well. Before I came up with her name, she was just called "cream massage girl", which makes for a full trio with Sapoonis using soap suds and Nooru using a similar substance to nuru gel. The theme of this group is sensual pleasures, and erotic body-to-body massages fit that perfectly.
Lore-wise is a little trickier. She also believes it's her holy task to bring pleasure, but unlike Calliophi, she's not averse to indulging her hungers. The best way to explain this is that Calliophi follows a far stricter interpretation than she needs to, while the more regular interpretation is the human must be given the greatest pleasure they'll ever experience before they can be consumed/have their soul taken. They are daemons that practise an equivalent to kosher or halal, is a good way to think of it.
Sliding more into the actual background lore.
Hati Krim is the host to the Polyp'uumpla. Both exist in a kind of symbiosis. The veins running through her body are part of the Polyp'uumpla. It is also all the organic material in her room, including the bed. The Polyp'uumpla produces the aphrodisiac cream and also pumps all the fluids out of a man's body should he ejaculate in Hati Krim's vagina. Once the man is completely drained, the Polyp'uumpla absorbs the body for further nutrition.
As a Devotee of Priti Nāndyāh, Hati Krim believes she should only consume those who freely offer themselves to her. This is where some confusion arises as she regards a man asking her for sex as freely offering themselves to be emptied by the Polyp'uumpla. In order to clear up that confusion, The Madam insists Hati Krim never proposition the man herself. This is why, when socialising with her, Hati Krim will describe the service as hand relief only.
However, should the man ask, she will oblige, and treat it as if he'd freely offered himself to be consumed. The aphrodisiac properties of her cream are also extremely powerful, especially when she uses them during her skilled lingam massage. During that, men find themselves asking for things they shouldn't...
Fortunately, the aphrodisiac properties of the cream are powerful enough that a lot of men will ejaculate before Hati Krim even gets her hands on their penis. This still feeds the part of Polyp'uumpla constituting the bed underneath them, but the man at least gets to walk away afterwards.
As for the art, Marwmellow did a great job with the alien babe part. The veins are trickier. I envisioned more gnarly pumping veins, but a more abstract mesh does fit her as a sort of sci-fi alien babe.

It's a day later than I initially intended, but the full HoHH 1.5 demo is finally ready to be played with for all patrons/subscribers. The reason for the delay is the early preview version I put out last week for $5 and higher tiers ended up being a lot rougher than I'd have liked, so for the past week I've been working on getting the layout for mobile devices at least playable (which it now is, and should be a lot less painful to interact with).

Public Demo is the old proof-of-concept demo I put out last year.
Private Demo is the current demo version for patrons/subscribers. This is the one you want. I'll drop the password at the bottom of this post.
Dev Testing is my private space for when I need to test on various other devices (such as my ancient android phone). Ignore this.
As for the demo itself, it covers the first 4 rounds and contains all of the Tier 1 harlots.
Currently there is no fancy title or options page. I need to add these later. There is also no sound. I haven't decided yet whether to add music/sound fx later or that might just be beyond the scope of the project.
The UI elements are placeholders. I will update those later when I can source art for them.
Sometimes the art is slow to load in depending on internet connection. In this case you'll see a white background or missing portrait/harlot art. Give it a pause and then click the next link and it should show up. I'm currently looking into how to make that smoother.
What the demo does have is all the lovely harlot art I've commissioned from Marwmellow. All 36 Tier 1 harlots are present in the demo. 27 of them have art. (The remainder have plain placeholder silhouettes at the moment).
The version for mobile devices (smartphones) should be vastly improved over the old demo version. Because there is less space, the pinup art shows up as a much smaller image in the top left. Don't worry, I've added some code for this layout, so if you tap the picture, it will bring up a bigger version. Tapping that again will return back to the game. This was the best way I could think of for including the art and still having room for the text.
I've tinkered with the mobile layout a lot and now it looks and plays reasonably okay on my test android phone. Of course, this is just one device, and I'm not sure how it looks on others. If you do run into problems playing on your device, get in touch.
At this point I think the desktop/computer layout is fairly stable and close to how I'd like it for a final version (with much better UI art obviously!).
Mobile was awful, but has improved a lot. The layout is pretty close to how I'd like it.
My plan is to wait until I get the remaining Tier 1 harlot art and then make the demo fully public (ideally, I'll also have a nice title page and replaced the UI placeholder art by then). In the meantime patrons/subscribers will get early looks as I keep tinkering with it.
Feedback is pretty important at this stage, so I'd love to hear people's thoughts.

I gave $5 and higher tiers an early look at the new HoHH1.5 demo. It's still rough. Thank you to Crimson Crown for being the guinea pig and spotting some obvious goofs that had slipped through (such as me not removing a rogue blank passage that had overwritten the shared Bad End container and also not updating the image paths so none of the portrait arts were displaying). A bit embarrassing.
Currently I'm tweaking the layout so it will display on mobile devices. The aim is to extend the early look to all tiers next Wednesday. It's still rough. There are a lot more harlots (most with art) ported over, but I'm still using placeholders for the UI and desperately need proper options and titles pages.
I'll also be looking to revamp the hellishharlots website. I think it's probably time to replace the AI art backgrounds with some of the harlot pinup art.
I've also got the hell harlot profiles organised and queued up. I'll be using these to preview the art and hopefully advertise the game to the general public. Feel free to spread the word using these. It would be nice if they take off like the old MGE did.
Temptacia's scenario managed to get a little snarled up. She's so keen she undresses the player twice at the moment. That's one of the perils of trying to do too many things at the same time. Sometimes you forget what you've already written. I'm currently typing up what I have of her to resolve where I'd like her to undress the player and then get the momentum back to hopefully finish her before the end of the month.
Continuing the harlot profiles, it's time to look at Nooru.
Nooru is one of my pre-existing monster girls. Her type of lust daemon first showed up the in "Nuru Nuru Girl" H-space Bestiary short. Their bodies secret a special slime and they use erotic body-to-body massage to relax their prey into a blissful puddle. Literally in this case.
Real world inspiration comes from nuru massage, a type of sometimes-erotic body-to-body massage that uses a seaweed extract to make sure all participants are nice and slippery.
I thought that type of lust daemon could fit in the House and would be a good thematic fit for the sensuality faction.
Her mechanic is fairly simplistic and even called out for being so in-game. It helps establish Nooru as a pleasant, but fairly dim type of lust daemon. Mechanically, it's a simple stat check that can even be skipped entirely should the player be warned by the Elegant Woman beforehand. This is good as I want the Elegant Woman to seem fairly helpful for the early scenarios.
Unfortunately, there's the recurring problem where the mechanics and some lore aspects are an awkward fit for the faction. Nooru is certainly acting to slake her 'primitive' hungers, so for her to fit would mean Calliophi is taking a very narrow view of Priti Nāndyāh's "teachings". This can be explained in a similar way to how all religions seem to have offshoots following much tighter interpretations. Nooru being part of this group does also fit with Priti Nāndyāh taking much "simpler" daemons into her fold – similar to the slime girls Squishii and Squidgii.
It's a bit messy but just about holds together.
Switching to the lore and this is where things crossover slightly with the H-space stories.
Nooru is a nurunuru massajioni daemon. They subdue humans with their slime and use it soften them to the point they can be drawn up through the vagina into the daemon's stomach.
They're regarded as a fairly simple daemon and don't have much in the way of magic or other powers. Their only way to subdue humans is to grapple them and soak them in their slime secretions.
The caves they live in have an odd appearance resembling the interior of an inflatable bouncy castle. This is a perfect surface for the nuru nuru girls to carry out their massages on. This is duplicated with the interior of Nooru's room.
I wanted the H-space story to have nods to the unimaginable horrors of Cthulhu mythos, so the nuru nuru girls in their brightly coloured bouncy cave are sort of the equivalent of the dopy giant penguins of Mountains of Madness before the shoggoth shows up and drives everyone insane.
Marwmellow's art of her is really cute, although it does present a dilemma of how much to 'spoil' with the art. Apart from her hands and feet, Nooru could easily be mistaken for a regular human. Marwmellow hid her hands which is a very good way to get around how to depict something that is almost human, but definitely off. Ygolia has a similar problem. To show she's an actual monster girl, you'd need to show the "vagina" openings in her palms, but that would then spoil the surprise of the scenario.
Ideally, I'd have extra art showing the naughty stuff, but I definitely don't have the budget to go that far!

Yesterday I put out an early look at the HoHH 1.5 demo (the version with art) for $5 and higher tiers. This is a very rough early look, so rough I've not got around to updating the intro or the Barman notes mentioning how many rounds it is (it's 4 not 5). I'll be correcting that and other things over this week and next. It does have all 36 harlots that can show up Round 1-4 and full pinup and portrait art for 26 of them. I'll also open it up to the $1 tiers next week.
This is all part of the push to get a proper fancy public demo ready showcasing the first 3rd of the game.
As part of that push I think I need to give the houseofhellishharlots website a revamp, so I'm throwing it open for suggestions. This is also a good time to let me know about anything that doesn't display correctly on whatever device you're using.
The Welcome section will broadly remain the same. I'm not intending to fully sunset the text-only version until I have all the Round 5 mini-bosses written and implemented. And even after that, I'll keep it available so people can still play with the Tier 2 and 3 harlots that haven't yet been ported over to the 1.5 version.
I need to rewrite the intro to the Experimental section. That will stay where it is for the moment until I'm happy I have a stable public demo version of HoHH1.5, then I'll move that over to the Welcome tab. As with the text version, there will likely be a public demo and a password-protected patron/subscribestar demo.
This might be the only way to distribute the advanced version to patrons at the moment. I will look into creating a download to local device option.
Now I have the harlot profiles I'm thinking of splitting the Harlots tab. One will show the harlot profiles to give a teaser of the harlots in the House. The other will feature other art other patrons have commissioned (with their permission, of course). If you have art of harlots or other NPCs in the game you'd like to see displayed there, let me know.
I might merge Links with Books to give a generic "About M.E. Hydra" tab.

My web dev skills are extremely basic, so I'm fairly limited in what can be done. But if it can be spruced up to make the the game more enticing, it's worth doing!

I'm going to make it available to $5 and higher patrons/subscribers first as a thank you. Without that money I would not have been able to commission the harlot art you see in the demo. I will open it up to the $1 level next week.
I've uploaded all the new images and new version of House of Hellish Harlots demo to the houseofhellishharlots website. This has all 36 of the Tier 1 harlots. 26 of them now have art in the form of pinups to go alongside the text.
There is still a lot of placeholder art in place (particularly the UI elements), but this is fairly close to how the first 4 rounds of the game will play out.
It's still very crude. There is no sound. No title page. No options menu. Lots of ugly placeholder art. It might not display properly on mobile devices. It is however in a state I can build upon over the rest of the year.

After an early splurge to catch up with the publicly revealed artwork, I'm now going to drop back to a regular weekly schedule for this.
$5 and higher patrons will see the commissioned art first as part of a "Harlot Spotlight" that includes the original scripts and my notes on the inspiration and lore behind the harlot. I'm using these additional tiers to fund the art commissions, so that's my thank you to people supporting at that level.
About a month later regular patrons will get a Hell Harlot profile post like this one which attaches the art to a 'profile' piece written from the perspectives of The Madam (who really wants you to pick her gal) and The Portly Gentleman (who usually has some information on what the girl is really like).
Some period after that (about 2-4 weeks), I'll post the 'Hell Harlot' profile publicly to my blog and twitter. (And maybe in the art section on the houseofhellishharlots website - I need to update that!). I might also post some publicly here on patron. That is a little dependent on the artwork as Patreon doesn't like naughty stuff posted publicly (so no boobs or other bits showing).
(I'm fine with this. It's one of the few occasions Patreon's guidelines have felt fairly clear!)

On/off week. Lost a few days to IRL stuff but was able to work pretty well on the days I had to myself.
Writing on Temptacia is moving again, but a little slower than I'd like. Hoping to get a good run on her next week.
I set up the various tests I needed for Panta Prota, which will also be useful for other harlots that check for things outside of the regular scenarios. I'm currently in the middle of Suffocatrix Mamilla. She's fairly annoying to test as she checks a lot of different things. We're getting very close to all the Tier 1 harlots being done. I had too much disruption to get it ready this week, but I'm hoping to finally get that early experimental 1.5 version with most of the harlot art in place sometime next week if all goes well.
While it's of less importance, I've been having fun putting the various harlot profiles together. I still need to figure out how to get those distributed out on the internet in the best way to attract interest for the main House of Hellish Harlots project. Current plan is to get caught up on the already-publicly revealed harlots, then future public harlot art reveals will be as part of a harlot profile.

I might make Friday the regular day for these going forwards. It might make the middle of the week less crowded, especially as I'm likely to be posting harlot profiles now as well.
It's time to leave the 'filler' harlots behind and move onto the 3rd faction. First up for them is the adorable lamia masseuse, Calliophi.
The third faction is all about sensuality. It's also been a group that's given me a surprising amount of trouble, and that might in part be down to Calliophi.
I wanted to vary the characters so they weren't all hungry succubus murderwhores. This led to creating Calliophi, a very sweet and mild-mannered snake girl, who is a member of the Devotees of Priti Nāndyāh, a lust daemon cult that regards bringing pleasure as far more important than satisfying hungers... sort of.
Compared to the smother faction and artificial beings, the sensuality faction is a bit of a mess. With her sensual soapy massages, Sapoonis fits the theme for this faction, but also has no qualms about melting a man's hands off should he displease her. It also presents problems when getting to the higher tiers and dealing with harlots that very much want to kill the player if they can.
That is the one problem with creating the harlots as individuals and then trying to assign them to different groupings afterwards. Harlots that fit thematically, don't really fit within the lore.
At the moment I've wrestled it into Priti Nāndyāh having multiple facets. At the lower levels are harlots like Calliophi, who strictly adhere to the 'pleasure only' part of the teachings. Higher up, you get harlots like Sasori Oiran, who are also very competent and dangerous assassins. Because of their devotion to the arts of sensual pleasure, members of the cult make very good courtesans. And very good courtesans also make extremely good spies and assassins...
Which makes for interesting flavour for the group as a whole.
And how to wrap that up in the religious beliefs of a pleasure cult? I think the best explanation to place Calliophi and Sasori is the belief in the importance of pleasure. Calliophi believes in using it for purely therapeutic means. Sasori cannot kill unless she has shown the target the pinnacle of ecstasy beforehand. Indeed, for quite a few of Priti Nāndyāh's assassin followers, showing the target the absolute pinnacle of ecstasy will also kill them as their bodies and minds cannot handle it.
The remaining trickier question is how does that distinguish them from other lust daemons in general, considering they also have to fuck a human's brains out before they can claim their soul. That probably comes down to the sensual aspects. A regular succubus will give a man (or woman) a really good fuck and then take their energy/soul. The suffocatrices of The Sanctum of Strangulated Sighs will work in erotic asphyxiation to increase the intensity of the orgasm. The Devotees of Priti Nāndyāh like to take their time and completely drown their prey in sensual pleasures (in some cases literally), only taking the soul after the pleasure has melted the human's mind to mush. Those pleasures are broader than just sexual ones.
Then we come back to sweet little Calliophi. She is following a flawed interpretation of Priti Nāndyāh's teachings. Maybe deliberately, she doesn't like killing and so a religious doctrine that prioritises bringing pleasure over all else is a good excuse to deny her nature as a soul-eating lust daemon.
The danger with Calliophi is that she isn't fully in control of those instincts. If the player resists too hard while she's giving him a nice massage, she'll lose control and bite him. Her particular type of lamia is extremely venomous and that bite will always be fatal. It's so strong even the right charm from the Buxom Lolilbaba cannot negate it.
This will make Calliophi feel terrible, so don't do it to the poor girl.
There was a slight mix-up with the art. The first sketch I got back for Calliophi didn't fit her meek nature at all. However, Calliophi also has a sister in the House, which meant it was easy to add her to the batch and use the sketch for her instead.
Calliophi might have also been one of the first harlots I had the idea to give a side quest to, with it leading to a bonus scene where both her and her sister having sex with the player.
There is still a way to go before I write those (mini-bosses need to be written first!), but I have most of it already planned out.

Not all harlots will get a public post. I tried with the Pêls and Pêl-Z immediately fell foul of content guidelines and had to go back behind the paywall. (I'm guessing for booba)
This is a little awkward as I think I might have already spoiled this one when I was playing around with the Hellish Harlot Profiles.
Maybe that was only on discord.
Anyway, here is the art for the demon girl The Madam can't get rid of. As the profiles are "written" from the perspective of The Madam and The Portly Gentleman I thought it would be fun to make them as terse as possible for this one.
Morticia is an uninvited guest everyone wants to get rid of, but can't.
As for what she really is, maybe a reveal for another time.

I had another stab at creating harlot profiles. That attempt was also lacking, but Noeru put together a simple book background which I was able to resize and make into a proper template for the background. I think this has fixed the problem and now I have a proper template for these going forwards.
This means I can now go forward with the original plan of publicly revealing the new harlot art as part of a profile that includes The Madam trying to hype 'her gal' (text in italics) tempered by what The Portly Gentleman has discovered about them (regular text below it).
I think these will be a nice bit of advertising to scatter across the internet. And even if they don't drag people back to check out the game, it's always good to put more MGE-style monster girl art and profiles out on the internet for monster girl fans to enjoy! Feel free to post them where you think they might be well-received.
Now I have a nice template, I'll catch up on the publicly revealed art and then add profiles to the reveals going forwards (I think it's Chén next week).
Work on HoHH1.5 is still going nicely. I need to tweak my tester to account for harlots like Panta Prota that have additional variables set before the scenario. This is nothing more than a little checkbox page to set those variables before running her scenario in the tester.
After that it's just the two Suffocatrices, Mamilla and Assphyxia to test. I still have Assphyxia's repeat scenario to write, but I'm going to put that after getting Temptacia written.
I'm hoping to get a proper new experimental demo of HoHH1.5 out next week that incorporates all the art I have. There are still some things I want to add before making it fully public, but I think a little pre-alpha period will help catch anything I might have missed on my own testing.
I still need to create a proper title page for it. Any suggestions there would be gratefully received!

Baloobia is the last of the Tier 1 'filler' harlots. These are harlots that don't have a current faction home, although they are assigned to one for game mechanics purposes.
I'll start with the in-universe stuff this time.
Baloobia is a slime girl, but of a muddier type. She doesn't have full control over her body so can't distort it freely into different forms. Outside of her room, she can just about squeeze herself into a roughly humanoid form that just about fits inside a dress. Her natural form is pretty much a giant set of tits with her head on top.
In theory, this should make Baloobia a fairly weak lust daemon. Not that it matters from a human perspective. She can spray special net slime from her tits to catch a man and hold him in place while she crawls close enough to draw him between her massive tits and into her body. Once she fully envelops a man with her body, she'll get him to orgasm over and over while she slowly absorbs him.
It's regarded as fairly primitive by more 'sophisticated' lust daemons. This doesn't bother Baloobia. She can get along just fine without fancy succubus charm magic. She doesn't need it.
Baloobia is another harlot where The Madam had to install countermeasures to improve the odds of survival for anyone visiting her. This is with Baloobia's consent. She knows how the hierarchy works within the House and the countermeasures are enough to help her override her natural instincts.
The end result is she gets more visitors. She wishes the countermeasures didn't make them taste so bad, but that's made up by the occasional visitor that foregoes the protections installed by The Madam. She finds them very yummy indeed.
And now for more on the inspirations and internal game mechanics.
Baloobia was inspired by the regular slime girl from 62studio's various monster girl hentai games (Lust Grimm, Succubus in Wonderland). Her scene has her draw the player between her monstrously huge tits and give them an all-over massage with her malleable body.
Her Good End sees her spit the player out after making him come, while her Bad End has her absorb him completely. There is relatively simple trigger to avoid this, making her a good fit for the Tier 1 bracket. However, there are also some factors happening behind the scenes, which may result in the player getting a surprise Bad End they weren't expecting.
To help this along, I gave her repeat visit functionality and this is where her scenario gets a little interesting. Depending on an option the player makes, Baloobia either drops the predatory act and gives him a sensual all-over massage, or she plays into the predatory aspects and taunts him as if she's caught him like prey. The latter was a lot of fun to write as this is Baloobia putting on a fantasy vore roleplay in-universe, for someone she thinks is into that kink. Of course, as she is an actual vore monster, this can go real should the player not take the relevant precautions…
The art is fairly tricky for this one. When Baloobia relaxes into her regular slime form, her boobs are so huge it's very difficult to make her not look grotesque or ridiculous. I suggested having her loom out of the frame so her boobs fill the picture and the rest of her body isn't visible. Marwmellow initially sketched her with a dress, but I think she's better fully naked at that point.
The end result is pretty damn good for an awkward concept.
I had a another stab at trying to create MGE-style profiles for the various monster girl harlots in House of Hellish Harlots. The original plan was to use these to reveal the art to the general public once the period of timed patron-exclusivity had worn off. Creating the templates proved trickier than I thought. I didn't really get the new ones right for the second stab at it either.
Thankfully Noeru knocked up a simple open book background for me and I think this has solved the problem. Sometimes simple is better.
The layout was inspired by Kenkou Cross's Monster Girl Encyclopedia and Pêl-V Gnoi is inspired by the watermelon monster girl from Monmusu Quest. She's also a character in the game project I'm working on, House of Hellish Harlots, where - like the 70-odd other harlots in the House - she has a fairly detailed and hot CYOA sex scenario. I've made this post public to widen the number of people who can see it, and because Pêl-V was due to be revealed publicly on my blog today anyway.
For a quick bit of background on the profile text. The section in italics is written by The Madam of the House in order to entice visitors into picking one of her 'gals'.
The section in regular text below is written from the perspective of The Portly Gentleman. He's been trapped in the House for a while and knows a bit more about the various Hell Harlots than The Madam is prepared to reveal!
I'm hoping I've finally found a template that works for this. If people like it, I'll create more for the other harlots which have had their art revealed and continue to do so for future harlot art reveals.
I want to use these to help promote the game, so please feel free to spread them around the internet in places that enjoy sexy monster girls and succubi.
