JF-17 Thunder Guide Update
Added 2022-02-15 11:01:02 +0000 UTCHi folks!
The JF-17 Thunder guide needed an enormous amount of house cleaning, especially since I haven't really worked significantly on it since December... of 2019. This time, the update is focused on the air-to-ground radar, start-up procedure, air-to-air refueling and numerous fixes here and there. The page count increased from 390+ to 480+ pages.

I'm not seeing anything that mentions the capabilities of the GB6-SFW missile - which I use a lot!!!
2022-02-23 18:35:24 +0000 UTCSolid module. If you want capability, the JF-17 can do a lot of things. It's pretty much on par with the Hornet and Viper in terms of what kind of missions it can perform. It's a very modern jet, so if you like glass cockpits with large displays and tons of menus accessible at your finger tips, you're going to like what the jet can offer. The jet itself doesn't have the prettiest interior nor the best endurance or dogfighting abilities... but it's not something we can really fault the developers for. It's still definitely a plane that gets the job done. Its sensors are intuitive and easy to use. Quality-wise, it's a module that's overall pretty healthy. Bugs are few and far between since the radar fixes of 2021. It also helps that it's pretty much feature-complete from what I can gather. There are no plans to develop the helmet-mounted display equipped on Block III JF-17s, so what we have now is likely what we're going to get with the Block I. Deka Ironwork went to great lengths to make sure the aircraft is as customizable as possible, which is a nice touch and wasn't necessary at all. Overall, my impressions are quite favorable. Like I said before, it's a very capable jet within the DCS environment and it's simulated to a level similar to the Hornet and the VIper (and it goes the extra mile for a number of features too).
