May be Moving Out of State Soon

Hi Everyone,

So, things are still very much in the air right now, but I wanted to post an update to let you all know that things might be a little chaotic on my end shortly.

My wife and I recently made an offer on a place out of state, and I am both incredibly excited and incredibly nervous about that.  I love the place, but it's an enormous move and a hell of a lot of logistics if this goes through.

I love Texas, especially Austin where I have been living for the last ten years, but between skyrocketing pricing in Austin, worse and worse weather, dubious infrastructure, red state politics, and ... a lot more, it's a decision we've not come to lightly.

So, nothing set in stone JUST YET, but it's really looking like we may be moving within the next couple of months if things go smoothly.  If that's the case, expect a massive disruption in my workflow, and probably a month or two setback of my worklist.  I hate doing that, but my brain is already exploding with the logistics of packing up and moving out of state.

So... yeah!  Thank you all again for your continued support - I love doing TF art, and I have no intentions of stopping any time soon - I'll just probably be doing it from a different location <3

As a fellow texan myself, i will say it will be sad to lose you. But i do understand. Whatever you do. Be safe ans be blessed for all the joy and fun you bring to others will continue.

What state are you looking on moving to?

Thank you - fwiw, Austin has been a little shielded from some of the worst of it, but it's like that wave is encroaching, and it's frightening. It's going to be stressful, time consuming, and expensive as hell to get out of here, but we're doing a lot of serious talk about the logistics and budget.

Everything I hear about Texas - particularly from an online friend who lives there - makes it sound like an absolute insufferable shithole, even by US standards. Congrats on the potential move, and good luck.

Thank you so much - it's scary and big, but on the other hand, it's nice to have some optimism as well about the future. And yeah, I've been in Austin for 10 years, but in Texas for pretty much all my life, so yeah!

Arania

Ok, I wish you a smooth and safe relocation, I understand your concerns about this yet you lived in Texas for 10 years, that's a lot...Good luck!

Thank you so much ;_; - I'm excited and terrified - and I definitely want to keep you all in the loop 100% because I want to keep things transparent because you guys are super important to me! But yeah, there's more and more Bad Stuff building here and getting out from under it is looking more and more important.

Arania

Agreed!

No worries if you have to skip, postpone, or minimize some updates - moving's a stressful and time-consuming process! Thanks for letting us know in advance. Here's hoping your new location lets you escape the bad stuff (plenty of it right now) and makes up for the good stuff you're leaving behind.
