With renewed inspiration, I'm back to work! I was inspired in so many ways with my recent vacation. But I've got to get some projects off my plate before beginning new ones! Today, I'm working again on a piece that has taken me months to progress. With all the handwritten elements complete (yay!), it's time for a clear coat. While the ink in my pen is semi-permanent, I've found that when it's applied to a wooden surface coated in gesso, it's still prone to some smearing. Wet or oily fingers smear the ink. I had to sand the mountain element and add a new coat of gesso (again). My first coat of green will ensure that the next layers go on smoothly and really build up the color!
