Added 2023-07-26 18:35:35 +0000 UTCNow that I have most of the framework of the new SteamVR plugin working I now can finally get to work on the FBE algorithms.
To support any combination of full body trackers, the v2.0 FBE algorithm has to have systems in place that are modular and can update on the fly.
In the attached image I wrote out each of the combinations I hope to support.
- Dark grey represents the hmd and controllers (a given)
- Blue represents 6 DOF trackers (tundra, Vive pucks, etc)
- Green represents 3 DOF trackers (SlimeVR, Mocopi, etc)
- And light grey represents fully estimated / no input
Once I get a handful of these useable I will be able to start the beta tests to get early feedback.
