Hey everyone! :3 We have some exciting mews! We're going to do our first Noodle meet & greet ever!!

It will be located at the cat grooming salon

Whisker Park in Winter Park, FL on Saturday July 13th 8am-3pm.

Whisker Park's shop cat Solomon will be celebrating his 20th birthday and it will also be Noodle's 8th birthday! (July 4th).

We want the experience to be as smooth as possible for everyone, so we will have limited tickets to meet Noodle, with up to 4 family members/friends seeing him at once.

We have to limit the amount of people visiting Noodle for this event as we don't want to overwhelm him.

We'll see how he does and may have more meet & greats in the future! 

I will have a few original paintings up for viewing in the lobby, and Whisker Park has a lot of cat products you can browse for purrchase if you like while you wait.

Noodle is friendly with strangers, but he is still a cat that can get spooked by sudden movements or loud noises. So we ask everyone to remain calm when interacting ❤️

The tickets will be available in hour time blocks and we will reach out to you for scheduling 10-20 minutes of hanging out with Noodle (depending on how many people are in your party). Please have one person buy tickets for the whole party.

The cost is $5 per ticket and we will be contributing our portion of the proceeds to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando (where Atlas was adopted from)

In the past few weeks, I have been feeling extremely anxious every time I go to paint something. I guess I'm feeling the pressure of having lots of eyes on my art. I feel so upset that I can't continuously turn out work as much as I'd like to (and used to do). I'm going to try to just draw something every day so I can get back into enjoying the process! Update on Commissions

Here is a process video of the commissioned paintings I’ve completed in the past 2 years! :3

I created a waitlist for custom portrait paintings in January of 2022, exclusively for my Patreon supporters. I decided to cap it off at 60 total, though a few have given up their spot on the waitlist by canceling their membership.

It’s now coming up on two years since the waitlist was created, and I’ve only completed 10 of them so far. I didn’t know it would take me this long, but between working on big passion project paintings, fun small paintings for Noodle Mail, packing Noodle Mail letters each month, sending yearly pins for my continued patreon supporters each month, packing online Etsy orders, trouble shooting returned mail, providing premier customer service, recording numerous videos and photos of my cats, editing videos, and just having days or weeks where I’m unable to paint at all… I was bound to fall behind on something.

But I have full intention to complete the commissions on my waitlist! Thank you so much to those who have been patiently waiting. We appreciate everyone’s love and support for the work that we do! 💓

I aim to complete the waitlist by the end of 2024. I would love to brainstorm with you all a better method for accepting commissions in the future. I know a lot of you would love a painting of your own fur babies, but the waitlist method is too overwhelming for me. I could possibly open 1-3 slots each month on my Patreon exclusive shop on a specific day/time, giving everyone a fair chance to reserve and a much faster turnaround time.

I’d also love to make weekly sketchbook pages, where everyone could send photos of their cats in the Discord chat to potentially be drawn :3

Hello everyone!! I'm sorry for the late post! but we're finally settling in at the new house 🥰

I have a few videos planned for how each of the cats' first week after their move went, and I'm organizing my camera roll into separate albums to easily locate videos for compilations of all the Noodle, Atlas, Squid and Haku silliness that occurred this year.

They must be small and relatively flat (a postcard puzzle is as thick as we can go, and even that one costs double in postage) so keep that in mind!

Since we've gotten some inquiries on creating a higher tier, we are thinking of making a monthly Noodle Package/Box! It would open up the range of items we could send and we'd also include that month's Noodle Mail in the box. So far it would be US only, unless there's enough international interest. 

With this higher tier, we'd be able to send out 1-2 items each month such as: t-shirt, jigsaw puzzle, wall calendar, mouse pad, coffee mug, 8x8" print, full size book, enamel pin, ornaments, keychains, cat toys and much more! Please let me know in the comments if you're interested in this so we can start moving forward with it or not! <3

We roughly estimate the higher tier(s) would be $30-40/month for US and $50-60 USD for international. We are still working out the logistics and details, but wanted to share with everyone to see what you think.

I had a couple other posts planned for Patreon last month (such as showing the progress on my commissioned paintings) but everything has been pushed back since we're in the process of moving!

Noodle, Squid, Atlas and Haku are upgrading to a bigger space! I'm so excited for them to explore and have more room to run around. I think the floofs will adjust very quickly. Atlas is a bit more timid when moving (he's moved 3 times with me so far) but he comes around pretty fast, within 1-2 weeks I think he'll have adjusted.

Me and Noodle Dad have been working on the house this past month. It's an older house from the 80s that just needs a little care since it sat unused for so long. We immediately ripped out the carpet that had 40 years worth of dust and dirt in it, had most of the floors redone, and deep cleaned all the rooms that were covered in insect feces and cobwebs. Now we're getting ready to repaint the areas that need it and then we can move everything in!!

All of this wouldn't be possible without your support here, I'm so grateful to you all for helping provide a better space for us and our cats to thrive and for me to continue my work. I hope to get into larger scale paintings again and to make videos of the cats enjoying their house! 🥹❤️

October Noodle Mail!

Japan!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share that I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Japan this month.

I traveled with my husband and my friend Sarah. None of our cats yet because we are still wary of traveling with them.

Our first few nights, we stayed in a city nicknamed "cat town" in Tokyo, Japan. We saw so many cat related things in the streets, from cat themed shops to chalk drawings of cats by children on the floors of their local train station.

I was able to meet my penpal at the local cat cafe which I have been practicing my Japanese with! She is learning english and we shared children's books with each other to help understand the languages.

I gave out a few postcards with a hand written note from me in Japanese:

これは「コーラス」という私の絵のコピーです。

"This is a copy of my painting called The Chorus."

They loved it so much! Some even gave me a gift in return. I wanted to share it with everyone in town because I saw how much they love cats!

We went to two cat cafes, one in Tokyo and one in Osaka. I saw a few street cats throughout our travels. It is my first time traveling internationally and it was a tad overwhelming but awesome. We did not have set plans and were able to enjoy the spontaneous aspects of the city.

I got to put all my Japanese language studies to use! I have been studying even more. Ironically when we came back home to Florida, we discovered two of the employees at our local Starbucks speak Japanese(: I also ran into my Japanese friend/coworker from years ago at Publix today. So cool! I only speak English and want learn more languages to communicate better. I hope to learn many more over time!

I bought a lot of books from Japan, and was happy to discover a couple books that are made by people I follow on instagram. (fatcatart and mofu_sand) Since they are cat inspired I think it will help me pay attention and learn more words.

Overall, this was a very inspiring trip. It gave me a chance to discover more art styles in person. I was familar with the concepts but seeing the colors and expressions used, encouraged me and filled me up my ideas for future paintings.

I would have never had this opportunity if it was not for everyones support :') I am immensely thankful and I plan to use this newfound energy and enthusiasm into creating more art for everyone! Hopefully more Youtube tutorials as I am still getting over my camera shyness.

New Youtube Video Posted!

I've invested over 100 hours into The Sillies so far! I'm now on the third row of cats, pluggin along on a painting streak of 11 days in a row so far.

I'm able to schedule posts out a few days in advance on my social media now that I'm a couple cats ahead. I post to a whopping 7 different apps on a regular basis! (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, Imgur) all in the hopes more cat loving people get the chance to see it and smile. <3

At the end of this painting, I will share all the blep photos I've saved and ask other artists if they'd like to try drawing some of them, since I can't paint them all myself!

Noodle: to swim or not to swim? 🌊

We use coasters a lot at home and have not sent any since Donut Noodle almost 2 years ago. So I am very excited to send these coasters for this month.

I am getting back into my painting schedule , it was a tough few weeks mentally and everyone's loving support and messages ( cats memes ) helped me so much! Planning my process more so I do not get overwhelmed.

Update on Commissions:

I appreciate everyone's patience. I am working on the commissions. Each one I pour my love and time into and do not like to rush it. I have started many times over on some of them because I know how beloved our pets are and I want to capture their essence. Currently on #7 of 60.

I have an amazing opportunity to travel to Japan for a week this year! I plan to visit art museums and cat cafes. I really enjoy reading and writing in Japanese! I am relearning the Japanese that I learned in college. I love to explore different art styles and I plan to incorporate it in future Noodle Mail / paintings!

March Noodle Mail!

hello everyone! I haven't posted much progress recently as I have been feeling burnt out. I have a fear of letting you all down, like what I'm painting isn't good enough because I really want to make all my supporters happy and excited.

To combat these unhelpful emotions, I've spent time with friends and family. Stepping back has helped me regain some confidence to keep going. I am starting to feel more like my usual painter self! It's tough to start or finish any work if I'm not feeling confident in my abilities.

I hope whoever is struggling with anything, I know personally a positive mindset was key in helping me get back on the track mixed with a break and support.

Noodle News!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a restful end of the year so far. I wanted to give everyone some Noodle news for 2023 to look forward to! :3

I finished a new painting called Noodle Mail Delivery, here's a full video of the process behind it!

I will be posting this video later on my youtube, but I'm wondering if I should add a voiceover for the text? I'd love to know your thoughts on this!

Additionally, I will start live streaming on the youtube channel next year. It is still a fairly new platform for me. I want to use it to be able to show longer videos and show more details on the process behind the paintings. 

I will record while I work on the blepping cats painting. My goal is to complete it by June 2023. Thank you for the all submissions, I love seeing all the beautiful kitties.

For a while now, I have wanted to revise the welcome card that I give to the new Noodle Mailers in their first month's Noodle Mail. Up till now, I've printed the welcome cards on copy paper and cut them out here at home. BUT

Starting 2023! The new one is on a 5x7" double-sided postcard. Noodle Mail Delivery is printed on the frontside, and a helpful info sheet is printed on the backside, including QR codes for easier access to Noodle Mail exclusives and discount codes! 

I hope I get to paint even more next year! Can anyone guess how many cats I painted in 2022?!

My goal is to continue painting as much as I can. I honestly use it as a stress reliever and it gives me so much joy sharing it with everyone. Sometimes it is stressful thinking of the next noodle mail rewards but everyone here is so supportive and understanding :')

It's all thanks to you and your support that I'm able to do any of this. Thank you so much for caring about my cats and my art. I hope they can continuously bring you the joy that they give to me. <3

November Noodle Mail! ✨

I sent out all of this month's mail on November 4th! It includes a 5x7" mini print of the next painting in my mini series The Fascinators, this time starring Squid! This month's mail also includes a 4x4" magnet of the Box Car Noodle painting, which was inspired by the most voted scent "roadtrip" to become air fresheners. Those will be sent out in January, as they take a while longer to be made.

I've been catching up on blep submissions, almost 10,000 emails have been sent in! I've got 4,000 more to look at that were sent in from September 7th-November 6th. I saved about 400 photos so far from submissions that have painting potential!! I'd love to show you all somehow, whether directly uploading to a patreon post or editing a long video slideshow

I finally got to update the welcome design I send out to new Noodle Mail subscribers, gonna order them as postcards when I can and maybe send them out to everyone in case they missed the info on it! I want the info to be on the back of the postcard and nice painting on the front :3

Air Freshener update: Roadtrip wins!

Roadtrip was the scent most voted for, so I made a painting inspired by the word! Noodle in a cardboard box car. The background colors were inspired by the landscapes of Planet Namek from Dragon Ball Z.

Unfortunately the air fresheners will not be ready in time for November Noodle Mail, so I plan on sending them out in January 2023 Noodle Mail instead.

In other news, I am visiting my dad in Texarkana for a couple days. I have included some pictures of his fur babies, he has 7 cats and 3 dogs!

My dad is a drummer, and the band he played with 20 years ago (when I was 4 years old) recently got back together. :)

I'm on their first album cover, which my mom photographed and edited!
