01/06/2024 - 2.3 Scope Expansion

Good afternoon! Quick update for you all today on the scope of the update dropping at the end of month. As the cards have fallen, I’ve found myself with basically the whole month on holiday! With my newfound wealth of free time I’ve decided to really ramp up the amount of content that will be featured in the next update. I’m going to be able to dedicate a good few hours to development nearly everyday so with any luck I’ll be able to get a really nice chunk of episode 3 completed and in your hands before too long. I’m not going to make any promises on what scenes exactly will be in the update as my current idea is to just work on the game and see what makes it in before I release it at the end of the month. The end of this episode is going to be a real turning point in the story, where things really start to take shape and there’s a whole bunch of ideas for scenes and minigames I can’t wait for you all to experience. As always thank you all so much for your support! It means a lot that there’s so many of you enjoying my game and expect lots more sexy renders and teasers to come.

Update 2.3 Release Date Announcement

Hey guys! After some pretty solid progress on the next update I’m pretty confident announcing that it will be releasing at the end of June, likely between the 27th-31st next month. Here’s a little rundown on what you can expect content wise.

New waifu cards.

Kara and Maya galleries added.

New episode 1 re-renders. Around 90.

Two new large events with Kara/Maya.

Chloe’s second morning sex scene will be in the public version instead of VIP only.

A new night time event. No spoilers for this one.

Various bug fixes and dialogue adjustments throughout all the previous content.

And finally there is a possibility the first part of the Nudesona 5 rework will be included too. But this depends on how production of the other stuff goes.

This is my final week of university until my summer break, which means depending on how my other job goes I should have a whole bunch more time to dedicate to Twinewood. It may even be possible to get 2.4 and 2.5 out before the end of September but that’s a best case scenario. There will be plenty of teasers to come, and some special lewd renders for my amazing supporters so for now stay pervy! I can’t wait to share more with you all soon.

05/05/2024 - Post 2.2 Dev Update

Good evening everybody! I hope you’ve all enjoyed the latest update of Twinewood if you’ve had the chance to play it. Today I’m going to talk a little bit about my plans for 2.3 and some updates to the future of this patreon.

Firstly there are a few known bugs with 2.2 I am now aware of and actively fixing including the change content option from the in game menu leading to an error and something being up with the galley. I’ve already been able to fix the content option issue but the gallery still needs some playtesting. If you find anything whether it be errors or typos please feel free to let me know, it helps out a lot.

There has been a little bit of discourse in regards to the Kara/Maya choice and I want to say though it might feel like you’re missing out on content by being forced to choose one or the other, there’s nothing stopping you from re-playing the episode or even the whole game to try out different options, and even then there are still going to be some minor scenes here and there with the love interest you didn’t choose if your enabled content allows for it. Twinewood is a game after all and I do want to have some decisions which properly alter the course of the story.

Update 2.3 is likely around a month or two away and my early plans for the content include some more render updates for episode 1, particularly implementing the new classroom, and a handful of new events for episode 3. The gallery will also likely see some updates as it’s still kind of a WIP as I’m figuring out the best ways to present it. Without giving too much away the end of episode 3 will mark a pretty big turning point in the story and the end of what I kind of think of as the introduction to the world so even if things seem a little slice of lifey right now I assure you things are moving along and there is a larger story to be told. Right now I’m thinking the story is going to take at least ten episodes to conclude, if not more so there’s a whole lot left to come.

In regards to my patreon I’m very grateful to all my supporters new and old and I’m working at figuring out some new ways to reward you guys since Twinewood Tales hasn’t been too regular and I want to tone back the amount of VIP exclusive content in the game to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the full experience. Bonus lewd renders will definitely continue and I have a few ideas in the works but if you have any thoughts or suggestions I’d love to hear them. Expect some changes coming soon.

Update 2.2 officially drops this Sunday (UKish time) for my Mega Fan subscribers. The free public release will be on Wednesday the 1st to my itch.io page. I can't wait for you all to see what I've been working on and finally let you guys into episode 3.

18/04/2024 - Episode 3 Preview

Good afternoon fellow culture connoisseur’s, I bring tidings of the next update for Twinewood. Progress is going very well and I’m on track for my original target of a release at the end of the month. I have a few scenes left to render and one pretty big one I’m fully re-writing due to not being originally happy with it but I’m fairly certain it should get to you all soon but I wanted to share with you all a bit about how episode 3 is going to work, as it’s a bit different to the previous ones.

The main structure of the episode is non-linear now with the next week of MCs life being split into four time slots. Morning, Midday, Afternoon, and Evening. Then, provided there are no mandatory events at the time such as class or something funky with the story, you’ll be able to pick an activity to do during that time slot from a list of unlocked events which will change/become available based on your previous choices, I.E. deciding upon the Maya or Kara route. In the initial update you’ll be able to play through the first two days which will feature some lewd events with Chloe and Lia, getting to know your choice of either Kara or Maya, and some developments in the main story.

As the rest of episode 3 gets released more events will be retroactively added to the pool providing more content for other characters like Sarah. I think it’s quite an interesting formula which adds a bit more player choice to the mix however I’m still undecided on whether or not you’ll be able to actually fully miss events. This would pose issues for continuity and could possibly be frustrating for players missing content though it would add to the replay value. Perhaps only minor scenes will be miss-able like getting the choice between a sex scene between two different girls. If you have any thoughts on the matter feel free to let me know below.

After the poll on Robin's future grooming habits ended in a literal 50/50 split I decided to reach compromise. Cis Robin now has a neat little patch of pubic hair whilst trans Robin is fully shaved. I think she looks pretty cute! Feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments.

03/04/2024 - Update 2.2 Release time

Hey guys, just a quick update today to let you all know I’m getting to the point where I’m confident stating that the next update will be out before the end of the month, and it’s going to be a big one. I’ll list some specific change logs below but it’s going to include a whole bunch of lewd scenes and story to enjoy.

Development is going smoothly right now but just to be safe I’ll say expect the end of the month to be when it drops, but there is a non-zero chance this gets moved closer as I wrap things up.

20/03/2024 - Gallery and Progress Update

Afternoon fellow culture connoisseurs, today I want to give you all another look at how development of the next update is coming along, and the long and short of it is very well. For a while now I’ve had a replay gallery on the list of features I eventually wanted to add to Twinewood but it wasn’t initially going to be for a while, however after a few more requests and the poll from earlier this week I decided fuck it and began to get one working for 2.2. After some toiling away I think I’ve got something pretty good too. As you can see in the picture of this post the gallery is going to be separated by character, and if all goes well you should be able to replay each of their lewd scenes from the in-game menu, you’ll even be able to collect any waifu cards you missed from within them.

As for the bulk of the update I’ve completed the side tasks such as waifu cards and LI bio updates, as well as getting the tech behind everything up and running. It’s now just a matter of finishing up the writing and grinding out some renders. It’s going to be a beefy drop with lots of new scenes so It’s still a way away from completion. I’m not going to estimate any releases anymore because I don’t think I’ve ever got one right but I will say the writing is around 65% done, and the renders about 25%.

I’m looking forward to sharing some more teasers as the renders get produced but for now that’s going to be all. Once again thank you guys so much for your support. This patreon is really what lets me keep Twinewood alive even when I’m submerged in other work.

Hey guys, just curious which of these two you'd rather have me focus on for the next update. I've been toying with a gallery feature but it's going to be a bit of a big task and could impact the amount of new content I can get into 2.2. Would you all rather I get the gallery feature into the next update or just get more new story content into it and push the gallery to a future update instead?

04/03/2024 - Update 2.2 Announcement and Overview

Hey guys! Time for another dev log, and today I’m going to be talking about my plans for the next update of Twinewood, 2.2. It’s going to be a meaty one so strap in.

So what’s coming in update 2.2? Well I’ll start with the best bits, firstly you’ll be able to experience the first two in-game days of episode 3. This will be utilizing the brand new time slot system in which at each interval of the day you’ll be presented with a choice of what event you’d like to see, from a list of unlocked options. Some time slots are mandatory, such as classes and the occasional story beat but as more of the episode comes out you’ll retroactively have more and more choices for each slot. Some of the events you can expect in 2.2 are…

Morning -

Sleeping in. (Classes can wait right? I’m sure no naughty grimoire will do anything while I’m sleeping.)

Snuggling up with Chloe. (She’s too cute not to.) For V.I.P.S only in 2.2.

Midday -

Spending time with Jace. (Apparently he has something important to show you.)

After Class -

Training with Tamara. (It’s time to get a grasp of this magic stuff.)

Beginning work on your class project. (And get to know your new team mate, either Kara or Maya.)

Night Time -

Well for night time you won’t get any options for this update as something ominous is going down in Twinewood once again…

In addition to this content there will be 6 new waifu cards to collect, a new way to see previous patreon renders in game for those with the V.I.P code, and the ability to quit out of episode replays at any time from the grimoire menu.

I’m looking forward to sharing more as development continues, right now I’m still writing and creating a couple of early renders so the update is still 1-2 months away but it should be a good one.

16/02/2024 - Surprise 2.1 Drop

Surprise everybody, Twinewood version 2.1 is now public on my itch.io page. Before you all get too excited this is not really a content update and more of a large patch. There were numerous issues with version 2.0 that I wanted to get ironed out quicker than waiting for the next big update would allow.

Some of the big issues fixed -

Android save screen.

Waifu card cheats not working.

No ping for waifu card 27 and 28.

A large number of spelling mistakes/typo’s.

There is no new story progression in this update. I decided to just post this without much fanfare to avoid getting people too hyped for what is kind of a minor drop. This means it’s also skipping the 3 day early access period. If you’ve played 2.0 there’s not really much of a reason to play through this one, but rest assured the next update will bring the episode 3 content you’re waiting for.

On a side note there will be no patreon posts for the next week as I’m close to my deadline day for Uni work and am going to put a bit of overtime into it. Note on save game compatibility -

During the early stages of development saved games between updates are likely not going to be entirely compatible. Using a save from a previous update will likely cause issues that I won’t be able to fix. Use older saves at your own risk.

10/02/2024 - Next Update

Afternoon fellow degens and culture connoisseurs, today I am happy to announce the next update of Twinewood has been fully planned out and is in full swing of development. It’s going to be the first two days of episode 3, alongside a rework to the love interest bio menu, and another couple of hundred re-renders for episode 1. Additionally, this will finally be the update that introduces Kara and Maya as love interests with their first full event. I’m excited to share more with you all as development continues but for now I can offer an ETA of around 2 months. It’s going to be quite a beefy amount of content, several animations and lewd scenes, as well as the usual amount of gratuitous nudity. As I mentioned before in the previous dev update a decent chunk of the writing has already been completed which will shave development time down a fair amount.

Thank you all for your support with the development of Twinewood, and a special shout out to those in the discord server helping me out with finding typos and grammar mistakes. Twinewood wouldn’t be what it is without you guys!
