Bugs are being looked into right now

Let's see what's going on.

Edit three - I figured out why the phone version is crashing on the profile page load. I''ve fixed it but I'm holding off on reuploading it for an hour or two as there's some placement issues I want to fix.

Edit two - the umiko laptop bug is fixed, I'm compiling/uploading, will probably have a file in 10 minutes on this page.

Edit  - For the duplicate scripts one I've seen. Can someone try placing their update endurance_scripts in a folder of their creation called "endurance edition"  Typed exactly like that without any quotes. You could do the same for the elysium_scripts - new folder called "elysium edition"  without quotes.

All of this would go within the game folder. game/endurance edition/ place the new endurance_scripts file from the update

4 to 5 Days Away

Just giving a quick update.

I'm very close to release!

The challenge, for those that are wondering, has been from a writing perspective. I've added the profile pages to the laptop (seen in a previous update post here) and that has required an absurd amount of writing. I'm not fully finished with it, but a rough estimate suggests it will be around 40,000 words (not code). That's... a lot of words. Like close to half of a Hunger Games novel!

It's crazy. But I'm closing in on being done, and the good news is that once it's done, updating it won't be as much work—I've had to write all character histories from days 1-12, in the future I'll only have to do a few days for each character per update.

I'll see you soon with download links.

One week delay

I'm delaying the Day 12-13 release by a week.

I'm putting the finishing touches on everything... it's a lot of work. That's my excuse... "it's a lot of work."

I sincerely apologize. I'll keep you guys updated. Feelsbadman.

Release Date Announcement / News

Hello! There's some important stuff to cover, but I talk a lot, so I'll bold the notable stuff!

The release date for Days 12-13 is June 6th. I'm taking a week to polish this release and make it good, because this update is pretty important for me, as it's the one I'll be promoting on Reddit/Twitter/Game Websites. I didn't do any of this for Days 9-11.

Days 9-11 had (and still has) a lot of bugs because I wanted to get it out before the end of the month for you guys. I also wanted to do that for this release, but I don't want to have to patch the game five times in order to get it working the way I want/intended.

Here's some news about Days 12-13!

Day 12 is the biggest day in the game so far! There's... so much content! There's a fairly large mini-game on this day! I hope you like it!

Day 13 has three major choices. These will impact future scenes and one current one available in the update! There are also some unique scenes based on the major decisions made in the Base 8 days!

For the $5 Patrons - The 3 Bonus Conversations are quite good in this release! I like backstory and I like mystery, which is exactly what these bonus chats have!

For the $20 Patrons - There are 3 Bonus Scenes in this update. I like all 3 and they're all quite lengthy, however, there's one scene that is nearly 200 renders in length. It's... a really big scene.

A few days after the release of this update there are going to be some really Important Polls for both $20 Patrons and also for all Patrons.

These polls will be the first of many that decide on scenes that will appear in the game. I've briefly talked about this before so I won't cover it here too much, but essentially every future update of Stranded in Space will have content decided by you guys. This is also true of the Elysium Edition content! This will make more sense (and be expanded on) after Days 12-13 is released.

Aside from that, I'm very excited about this update. We're getting to the point where things will really start taking off for Stranded in Space... it's a lot of fun for me to think about.

There are also a few really, really big ideas I'm still playing around with, within the programming. I don't want to say more until it's more of a guarantee but I'm determined!

Oh, and I forgot to confirm it, but — Annual Subscriptions are now available.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the support... I'm shocked by the level we're at. I know this is becoming a regular, boiler-plate end message with my posts, but I really do appreciate it.

I will always work hard for you guys. After Days 12-13 comes out, Stranded in Space will have over 100+ animations, well over 5k renders (not including animation frames), and over 25+ characters. And I will eventually get sound in the game, I swear it!

We're just getting started. There really are BIG things coming!

Thanks again for supporting the game! I'll see you soon for the release post!

Update + Important Poll!

Hello!

The update is this: Everything is going well. I would expect to be finished before June. The mini-game is finished! It came together quite nicely... I hope people like it. The writing, the rendering... it's all days away from being finished. It's all going well, except...

Here's the issue I'm having: Sound. Not from a programmatic sense... it's not hard to implement, but from a time spent/I'm picky perspective. I'll be working on the game and in my head, it goes: I could spend three hours writing laptop conversations or listening to fifty potential songs to put in the game.

And I always choose the former, of course. I don't mean for that to sound... excuse-like, I really don't. I've basically promised to put sound in the game, and I want to...

I want to know how important sound is to you, my Patrons. I don't want to influence any voting but if I put sound in the game for this update (Days 12-13) there's a decent chance it won't release until the first week of June, roughly.

That's not a guarantee, I'm just giving you full disclosure because I'm super picky with this music thing.

I really want to know how important sound is to everyone. Please give me your honest opinion!

Update / New Laptop Features

Hello!

A quick update from me: I'm just putting everything together at the moment, trying to connect all the images, scenes and laptop things.

I fully expect to be done by the end of the month with this update, but I don't want to promise it quite yet because I hate needing delays. With that said, it's looking really good, and I promise you I'm not just saying that.

Here's some cool stuff to expect in the next update:

For my $20 Patrons, there are 3 bonus scenes in this next update. I really, really like all of them. Seriously.

The laptop has been updated with 2 new elements.

A biography page - This is what you can see in the preview image with Sasha - each page provides fun information about the girl you've selected. More importantly, there's a biography/day-to-day breakdown of what the MC did with that girl also available to read through. This matters to me because I know Stranded in Space has a lot of girls, and also that people play other games... so as we continue on with updates, some people might not remember the exact plot points of Alina, and they won't feel like playing through 20 days again to recall it all, you know? So this page will be a refresher for those that need one.

There might also be a laptop minigame or two here in the future, who knows!

Paige Code Page - The preview image with Paige is more of a fun thing. So maybe you've already unlocked the Paige Fantasy 1 picture from Day 9? This screen is for future Paige Fantasy Pictures (and maybe more?) - You input a code to unlock the Fantasy! How do you figure out the code? That'll be different for each Fantasy. This next update (Days 12-13) will have 4 Fantasies to unlock. Of course: this is all optional. They won't all be easy or simple or obvious... it's just a fun thing I wanted to implement.

Aside from that, the days themselves (12-13) are some of my favorites so far. There's a ton of content for each day, 3 major decisions to make, a big mini-game, amazing laptop convos, more scenes based on your previous decisions... it's crazy. When I split the update into two parts I actually added two more total scenes to this update (Days 12-13), so... yeah, there's a lot of content.

For non-Android users, I will be releasing Days 12-13 as a standalone download - meaning smaller file size. I may do this for Android as well... but I hate requiring file/folder manipulation on phones.

Last bit of news for now (because there's more I'll be announcing later in the month) involves Annual Subscriptions.

I'll be adding Annual Subscriptions to this Patreon in the next few days... obviously there will be discounts for those who want to/can do something like this. All I can say is I'm in it for the long haul, guys. I have the next five game updates planned out with near complete-precision from a details perspective. I'm not going anywhere.

Anyway, my next update will probably be in a few weeks, as I'm still moving IRL in the middle of May. I'll see you guys then.

And thanks again for supporting the game. The level we're at right now, at this stage? It's mind-blowing to me. I keep wanting it to grow, and I keep thinking about how to add more value to Stranded in Space because I genuinely can't tell you how much I appreciate the support I've received so far. Big things are still in the works... it's very exciting for me.

See you guys in a few weeks!

Stranded in Space Days 9-11 - All Versions Are Out Now!

First let me start by saying: I really appreciate everyone's patience. I hate that this update delayed a few times, and going forward it's my dream to avoid further delays... here's hoping.

With that said, I'm quite excited that the next three days are out! I really hope you enjoy them, I'll be looking for feedback and thoughts on the story as more people get to play this game. I'll also do another "Rank the girls" post in early May, as well.

As for the next update - Days 11-12, I'm hoping it's out before the end of May. It is also a huge pair of days, with a new mini game, 3 major choices, and more fun surprises/secrets throughout. There's a lot to it!

For bugs found with this current update, I will be patching the game ASAP. Those patches will be put in their respective game posts.

To the Patrons: Thanks for supporting the game. I have some really cool things planned in the coming months!

Days 9-11 Endurance Edition ($5) PC-Linux/Mac/Android Download Links!

Days 9-11 PC-Linux Endurance Edition Mega

Days 9-11 Mac Endurance Edition Mega

Days 9-11 Android Endurance Edition Mega

Android Patch File

For the Android Version - There's a bug with certain images not appearing... I really don't know how this happened and it's maddening! Below is how to install it. So sorry about this, I'm going to do a better job with the Android version next update.

You either need a file manager app or a PC for patching Android games, preferably a PC.

You need to navigate to my game's folder, it SHOULD be something like Android/data/com.wildmangames.strandedinspace.

From here, there MIGHT not be a "files" (without quotes) folder. If there isn't, create one. From within the "files" folder, create another folder (if it doesn't already exist) called "game" (without quotes). From within the "game" folder, you place the patch file (game_scripts.rpa) I linked above. And that should work.

It's finished, I'm just uploading it right now!

I'll delete some of these posts when the time comes, but yes, I'm currently in the process of uploading the PC/Mac Versions of the game. My internet connection is kinda upload slow... so I would expect to have Mega links ready in about 90 minutes.

And in the next 8 hours, the Android version should also be available. This is because I need to compress all the images/make subtle changes in a few script files.

Thanks for your patience, everyone. I know these delays haven't been fun.

I really, really hope you like the game.

If you're not familiar/can't remember all the details of the game, I encourage you to re-play through it! Stranded in Space is very much a narrative/deep story kind of game. There is a coherent plot that is better appreciated when you remember all the details.

Last thing: I'm sure there are gonna be some bugs with the release, which I hate, because I try so hard! I will be online/fixing these bugs for probably the next 12 hours, so if you discover something, message me on Patreon or mention it in the release post and I'll get it fixed ASAP. And by ASAP I mean within like 10 minutes!

Again, thanks for your patience everyone. This is my first ever project, and I've learned a lot in these past few months. Going forward, I really hope to be/think I'll be more efficient. I don't expect every update to be met with delays, I really don't.

24 hour-ish Delay

Hello!

A very small delay, just keeping everyone apprised of the situation.

I'm putting the finishing touches on everything. I expect to be done by the 27th, but at the latest - The 28th, like 9pm EST. That's the latest!

The second $20 Tier scene, which I quite like, is longer/more content in length than entire days in the base release.

The game is massive, guys. I shudder to say that because I don't want you to walk into this expecting 10 hours of playtime... but it's a lot of writing, and a lot of images, and a lot of work putting it all together.

That's what sucks about this, in a way. People see delays and they think negative things, which I understand... but if you want to know why a 24 hour ish delay is happening, it's because of how much work I'm putting into this update.

My Day 11 Laptop script file is, combined with the $5 Patreon bonus convo that occurs that day, at 4,100+ lines.

Picking a random day: Day 6 (Base Release) Laptop script file - 1,300 lines.

These minor delays? It's not because I'm not working hard, I promise you I am! I've put more work into these three days than the entire base game...

The game is so close to being done! the 28th at the latest! Please have faith in me!

Some final good news and bad news:

Good news: $5 tier is getting the alternate route gallery sex scene viewer. I'm doing this so there's not like 5 versions of my game. That's far too much to handle.

Bad news: The music is coming in the 2nd part of this big update, which is April 26th. I apologize :(

I'm sorry about this small delay guys, I really am. The update is so close it hurts!

News + Release Date Announcement!

Hello!

First, some release date news. I've split up my five day release, for multiple reasons.

Days 9-11 (Three Days) will be released April 26th.

Days 12-13 (Two Days) will be released May 26th.

For my $20 Patrons, I've added an additional scene (there are two in total) in the first 3 day release. I like both, but the newest scene is especially good!

Days 12-13 also have two $20 tier scenes.

There are 3 bonus laptop conversations in each release. These are longer and more character driven. For instance, Day 9's bonus conversation is with Umiko... and you learn a lot about her past.

In Days 12-13 I've added two more scenes in general... they're also really good!

Basically there's a ton of content in Days 9-11 and Days 12-13.

Laptop conversations are expanded and increased. I know some people may not love the laptop conversations, but there's a ton of really great stuff in there... I'm really proud of it. If you like Stranded in Space because of the characters and plot.. this update/laptop sessions are especially good.

So why am I splitting the release into two parts? There are a ton of reasons, but the biggest two are:

I'm moving in the middle of May. This move was unexpected, because my landlord is the worst... but I've already found a new place, it's just caused a bit of trouble with my rendering/work flow. The whole thing has been a mess.

The second reason is that the second release (Days 12-13) has a fairly expansive mini-game that I don't really want to spoil... but it needs a bit more work on the programming side. It's really cool, and I think most people will like it, though I have included the option to skip it if you want.

Here's the good news: Both releases have a ton of content in them. There is a ton of really important character development in this release... multiple characters have their arcs started/unfolded. Of course, the sexual content is tripled as well!

Last bit: I'm compounding all release dates into one. No quicker tier access or anything. I'm sorry about doing this, it's just too much to manage given the size of Stranded in Space.

There are still new subscriber tier bonuses coming though! News on that is coming in May.

To close out my post: I really can't thank everyone that's supporting this game enough. To have this many Patrons so soon, it's beyond shocking to me. I never would've expected it. It motivates me to work even harder for all of you.

I genuinely appreciate your support! I'll see you for the release post!

A very short delay + More News

Here's a post I didn't want to make, but it must be done. Perhaps a new laptop pic of Haylee will help ease the burden.

This will be a longer post, so I've highlighted the pertinent parts in case you don't feel like reading a few paragraphs.

The update is being delayed by a few weeks. I can 100% guarantee it will be out in April. And I genuinely mean 100%. Right now, the update is about 80-85% complete.

The reasons for this are plenty, and I will list them below in a minute, but before I do, I want to talk about the people who've subscribed this month in the hopes of playing the game.

Without the support of my patrons, this game definitely can't get made. I can't say enough how much I appreciate each person who believes in this project.

With that said, I know there are some people who can only lend their support during the months the game is actually set to come out. Meaning, subscribe the month the game comes out, then unsubscribe  until the next time Stranded in Space is updated.

I can respect that. That you're willing to support the game at all is a blessing. So for those people, or for the people who upped their support in the month of March, this delay can't feel good. And I don't like that the delay is causing this issue.

If what I've said applies to how you planned on supporting Stranded in Space, fret not, send me a message on Patreon and I'll send you the version of the game you're currently subscribed for when it's finished/released, regardless of whether your month of March support is matched in April, or withdrawn altogether.

I sincerely apologize for the delay. I'm fairly aware of the erotic visual novel industry, and that delays are kind of commonplace, but when I set out to do this project I was like, "Not me."

And to be honest, I still kind of feel that way! The changes I've previously outlined going forward are to alleviate this very issue. I want this to be the first and only time a content update is delayed for Stranded in Space.

So why did it get delayed? This fucking update is massive! Seriously though... we're closing in on 2,500 images!

The mistake I made was twofold.

A) I really never counted what I was adding to the game until March. Turns out when your image count more than doubles your wildest estimation, your roadmap for a release window gets thrown into disarray as well!

B) And even with that, I knew it was bigger than I thought it was going to be. I mathed out the render times back in January! And the thing is: this is not a rendering bottleneck issue! I have nothing left to render, my math was accurate! The mistake I made was forgetting that more images means more writing/programming.

Right now I'm just adding polish, fixing typos, and making the game beautiful. I care a lot about Stranded in Space, and if this was just a "Here's the story, I don't care" kind of situation for me, I could get it out by March. But yesterday I just spent the entire day coding a ton of optional dialogue/minigame with Paige that results in a bonus laptop image. These bonuses are why I enjoy making Stranded in Space!

The game will 100% be out in April.

On to the news, which will get its own post in the coming weeks.

With the release schedule being changed up after this update, I want to add value to the subscription tiers. The first of many value additions is being implemented after this update.

Stranded in Space will release 2 in game days every 45-50 real world days. In each of those 2 day blocks, I'm going to have a poll that lists a few sets of girls. A random made-up example would look like:

A) Gigi and Ishani
B) Alina and Haylee
C) Raegan and Zara

Voting ensues, the specifics of which will be detailed later, and the winning choice will have that scene in the 2 day game block. After that 2 day game block is released, a new poll with different girls will be added! Sex scenes will apply here, though I will still follow the story, because these aren't dream sequences or fantasies!

Again, more of this will be detailed in a future post, I just didn't want the theme of this current post to be strictly disappointing.

Thanks again for supporting Stranded in Space, and I'm sorry about the delay.

Final Update/News Before Release!

Hello!

So 5 more images to see before the release.

The stats of this update have been posted before, but this release is bigger than originally believed.

Not counting animation frames, this next update is over 2k images. For my $20 Patrons, there's two Vespera scenes in this update! I quite like them!

So obviously, this all adds up to more images than the first release. This is great news for content, but it leads me into my next bit of news/decision.

As previously discussed, I'm switching up the release schedule of Stranded in Space after this update. How will it look?

About every 45 days (give or take) I should be able to release 2 in-game days of Stranded in Space. All numbers are subject to change, of course, but napkin math leads me into thinking it's viable.

There are a ton of reasons why I'm doing this, but the two biggest are A) For a better chance at reaching a bigger player-base, and B) Doing 2k images every 3 months isn't sustainable.

With that said, I'm a big fan of content. I always think about it, in fact. All I can say is, under this new release schedule, each set of 2 in game days should be fun and have a good amount of content.

I want to stress on that point again, because it's kind of my greatest selling point, and one I hope will catapult this game into a bigger audience: No one, not even Dr. Pinkcake(who I'm a fan of) is releasing as much content as I am in the timeframe I'm releasing it. I work hard, and that's all I'll say!

With this new release schedule, I'm also making the "free" version of Stranded in Space be the prior update, non-Patreon benefits version. Meaning, with the next release after this one (Days 9-13),  this one (Days 9-13) will be free to download, but with no bonus laptop convos/Vespera/alternate sex scene gallery. Or any/future Patreon benefits, for that matter. This is being done to hopefully reach a bigger audience, of course. It could change in the future, but for now this is what I'm going with.

Last bit of news: I'm switching to the "pay up front" Patreon model within the next few days. This shouldn't effect you guys, but obviously having Patreon exclusive content and not charging people immediately means someone can "support," download the content, then cancel without paying anything. To be honest, I don't really hate piracy, but you know how it goes.

I think that about covers everything! I don't want to commit to a release day just yet, but if you twisted my arm, the $20 version should be done by the 17th, meaning the $10 would be the 24th, and the $5 would be the 31st.

I'd like to end this news post by saying thank you for your support. It means a lot to me; I know I say that a lot, but I genuinely do mean it. I will always work hard for the people who support this game. See you soon! The update is so close!

More Update Images/Info!

Hello! It's been a bit since I've posted, so I wanted to check in with some more images from the upcoming update. I hope you like them!

Right now, everything's getting settled into place/finalized. The update covers days 9-13, and in terms of playtime it's close to the length of the original release. More content is in each day of this update.

There are also quite a few new characters that will be revealed. I previewed Lexi, and in one of the images in this post is another mystery character. They (two) aren't the only new characters being introduced upon this next release.

As far as my progress, everything's going well. It's looking like somewhere around March 17th-23rd will be the release date. Anything's subject to change, but I take my deadlines pretty seriously so I don't see any reality where the update isn't out before the end of March.

Other than that, there are more major choices to be made in this next release. As far as the major choices made in the base release, I believe there's something like 5-6 unique scenes based on those choices so far. That number will only rise with each new update, of course.

I will likely make one more big update post before the release in March—it will probably come at the end of February. I hope you consider sticking around with me into the next month!

Thanks again for supporting the game! I'm really excited for this next update!

News & A look at the next update!

Hello!

So, I've been hard at work on the next update. It's coming along nicely. There are 10 images I've uploaded that I hope you'll like - the last two of which are a teaser for a minigame/feature in the next update. It's quite exciting, and I think you'll really enjoy it.

Before I get into the news, here's some more information about the update, which is still coming out in March and is 100% on schedule:

The update is days 9-13, aka 5 days long.
Image count is not tallied yet, but it's over 1k.
Well over twice the amount of sexual content than the first release. It's almost too much!
To not spoil anything, there are. . . "a few" new characters in this update, not even counting Lexi.
The cool minigame I mentioned above.
Music!
Fun laptop stuff, of course! A few smaller mini-games in this release that are particularly good!
To not spoil anything again - route decisions for more than one girl.
There's one other surprise that I won't talk about, but it's pretty amazing!

Needless to say, it's gonna be an awesome update. I'm quite excited to release it!

Now, the rest of this post is news related and will be a bit longer.

So...

First off, I've decided against a website. I had one with Wix setup, literally 90% of the work done... when I just didn't like the result. There were some cool features to it, but overall it was... unwieldy and cumbersome. It just didn't feel right. So for now, the website plans are on hold. If this game gets bigger, then I'll re-examine this decision, but for now, I'm sticking with it.

Two, and this will be a post/poll unto itself when we get closer to the first update, but I'm debating on faster releases/less game days per release. With my current estimation, I could do 2 game days in about 40 days real time, roughly! The reasons for this are mostly for keeping my game at the top of website "new releases" and thus within the attention span of most players. In other words, this would be a move for popularity and overall outreach.

What do you guys think about that idea? Would a quicker and less game days per release interest you?

Lastly, I've posted the official Android Version of the game on here and on my itch-io. It's got some custom laptop UI that works well, I think! The updated PC versions will be here by tomorrow - these have fixes/improvements/a sex scene gallery and more.

And I'm looking into making a web/browser version but Ren'py movies don't work with web versions. How dumb is that?!

Anyway, my next update will in early February. I really hope to see you then, because there are a couple of ambitious things I'm working on in between renders that I want to share more about... it's just now is not the right time!

An introduction to Lexi

This is just a small status update, the real one is coming in about a week, give or take a day or two.

Still, I decided to throw 3 images into this post because it feels right. Meet Lexi, the daughter of Claire. This scene is of course in the next update, and it's a big one!

Here's what I've been up to: I'm in the midst of creating a website/Discord for the game. This is primarily for SEO, marketability and the overall growth of the game reasons, as I really want to get more eyes on this project. Getting more people to play this game is priority #1 for me as I render/code/write.

When I can get this website/Discord up shouldn't be more than a few more days, it's just I don't like to interrupt rendering/coding too much, you know? I might end up launching them at the time of the next status update for these very reasons.

Other than that, I've been messing around with a few ideas/features to include in the next update... I don't want to talk about them yet because I don't know how exactly they'll appear,  but I'll have something locked in by the time I post the next status update. They're all exciting features, so that's cool, right?

Anyway, my next post will have far more images, glimpses of some features, and a more sizable look at the state of the game.

Thanks for supporting this project!

Update + $10/20 Tier Improvements

Hello! I just want to start off by saying thanks for believing in this project and supporting it in the way that you are.

I'm hard at work on this next update, and it's going very well. There are also a ton of improvements being made to the base game/future updates that I'm quite excited about. Things like easier button clicking, a sex scene gallery, music, and sped up group chat, to name only a few. And let me tell you, there are quite a few more improvements!

As mentioned, the update itself is going really well. There's a ton of sexual content... honestly maybe too much, but I just follow the story I've meticulously laid out, and right now that means more sex content... oh well!

I'm going to show some really cool stuff coming in the next update in about ten days, but I wanted to quickly talk about the Tier adjustments I've just made, for both the $10/$20 Tiers.

I'm calling it the Viewable Sex Scenes For All Routes benefit. Here's a quick rundown (a simpler rundown will also be on my main landing page.)

Throughout Stranded in Space, there will be several decisions that lead down various paths with varying (but virtually equal) sexual content. This was decided with the hopes that people would choose routes based on what they most wanted as players, instead of "This route has more sexual content, so I'm picking it."

For now, that mentality hasn't really bore fruit. But picking Lira or Camila as your neighbor will result in different sexual content, not just in this next update but in future updates as well. Still equal in amount, but different! The same goes for awakening Nemy/Daphne, or choosing to recall Egypt/Japan.

This next update features choices that will also result in different sexual content. So for the $10/$20 tiers, I've decided to add an enhanced scene gallery that will show all sex scenes down all variable paths, dialogue and all. It won't count in a "story choice" way, more like a "see what sex scenes I'm missing out on" way.

It's true you could have multiple save files to see everything, but that will be a chore, especially three updates from now when things are split in more than 2 branches. This Viewable Sex Scenes for All Routes benefit makes it super easy and super simple.

I constantly want to add value to my tiers for this game, the problem is I put so much work into the updates that it's hard for me to add things that will take time, because I barely have any to spare. This next update is likely gonna have 1k+ images, not counting animation frames!

If any of you have any ideas for improving Tier value, I'm all ears! I can't promise I'll do them, because again, more renders or more coding means longer time between updates, and I don't want that.

With that said, I have a few more ideas I'm playing around with to add value to the tiers, so this won't be the last time I improve them.

Thanks again for supporting the game. Some really cool news about the next update is coming soon!

Welcome my first Patrons, your support means everything to me

I'm just working hard on this next update! It's gonna be incredible, and soon I'll share more info about it. Until then...

Patreon doesn't allow for ranking in polls, but still: give me an idea of which characters in the base 15 you like the most in Stranded in Space. This will help me to decide certain details in upcoming scenes.

Stranded in Space - Days 1-8 is out now!

A long journey finishes its first chapter. The first release of Stranded in Space is out today. Below are the download links for Windows/Linux version, and below them are links for the Mac version. Make sure you download the patch below afterwards - it's very small!

Stranded in Space - Windows/Linux Version - MEGA NZ

Stranded in Space - Windows/Linux Version - ANON FILES

Stranded in Space - Windows/Linux Version - GO FILE

Stranded in Space - Mac Version - MEGA NZ

Stranded in Space - Mac Version - ANON FILES

A stupid bug has already been detected that makes a conversation you have with Umiko on Day 4 (on the laptop) error the game out. Suffice to say, lessons were learned by me... Below is the patch fix. This link will be continually updated if more bugs are found. All you have to do is open the .RAR and place the "scripts.rpa" file in your Stranded in Space /game folder. Overwrite the old scripts.rpa file.

Example file structures:

C:/Program Files(x86)/StrandedInSpace-1.0-pc/game/
StrandedInSpace. app/Contents/Resources/autorun/game/

Stranded in Space Patch

Here are some of the quick-hit stats on the first release of Stranded in Space:

In the first release, you play through Days 1-8.

There are 15+ girls introduced. As highlighted in my main Patreon section, none of these girls are side characters; they all have stories, interests, personalities... everything! This is by far the thing I will work the hardest on, when it comes to Stranded in Space. This first release is just the beginning.

There are 1,900 Images in the first release. - Not including animations, of which there are several.

5-10 hours of gameplay. The variation is to account for readers/players who take their time, and who also want to experience all of the content.

3 Major Decisions in the first release. These are impactful, game-altering decisions, that will lead to different content throughout the course of Stranded in Space.

Several minor decisions sprinkled throughout the Laptop System I've implemented. Choices/Opportunities for nude pics, conversation variations, the usual stuff is present here. I hope players really enjoy the whole thing!

And that's it for now! I've already started working on the game's first update.

I hope you enjoy playing Stranded in Space!

Preview of Stranded in Space, out December 26th

The first release of Stranded in Space is closing in—Finally!

Out December 26th, the initial release follows the Main Character's journey through the first 8 days of his new life aboard the Endurance, a spaceship with an all-female crew headed for the planet of Elysium.

I've uploaded some screenshots from the game, including the custom made laptop-UI that allows the player to chat with girls at the start of each day.

I'm really excited to release this game once and for all!

The Finishing Touches

I'm almost finished with the first release of Stranded in Space. It should be out in a month, roughly! I don't have much more rendering, writing or editing left to do.

It's been a massive project to wrap up into a cohesive game, and I've gained even more respect for those that manage to create, release and update a visual novel with Renpy.

I'm really excited to get mine out there, I hope people like it.

I've uploaded a few more unused images. May they find use here.

The Final Month Before Release

Stranded in Space is in its final month of development before its first release.

It's a great feeling to be so close. It's been a long time coming!

I've uploaded a few more unused images. Even though they're not in the game, at least they're getting some use here on Patreon.

Just a few more weeks to go!

Stranded In Space Insight #1

As I make my first post on Patreon, I thought I'd give a little insight into one of the core game design decisions implemented within Stranded in Space, while sharing a few unused images that were once meant to be in the game. One thing I want to say before I begin: these are just my thoughts and opinions!

The biggest difference in my game is what I would call "Choice Overhaul." The first release of Stranded in Space has a total of three decisions and no stats or affections to level up.

In most games, even beyond the erotic visual novel genre, I feel decision making and dialogue choice-wheel options haven't ever been implemented all that well. Mostly choices devolve into good or bad, and rewards/gameplay are typically weighted towards the good choice. It's generally a more satisfying experience to play through a game as the good guy. An example:

You could rid the cellar of its infestation of rats beneath the tavern to enjoy a discount at said tavern, or you could just threaten the barkeep to get the reward instead. One route involves combat, a new area (the cellar), and the feeling of "earning" your reward. The other way is given because you put a few points in a stat. It's shorter, less interesting and altogether less fun.

In the case of an erotic visual novel game depicted in renders, this problem is only enhanced from a logistical perspective, because it means more time spent rendering images that most players won't choose or enjoy all that much if they do. If I'm going to commit to rendering extra scenes, I at least want the path and experience in its entirety to be significant, and not because you said "You're hot" a few times throughout the course of the game.

Now, that may seem like an oversimplification; sometimes being the bad guy can be fun, after all. But because the first release of my game has 16 girls, tracking and managing various stats and different reactions the MC might say to a girl throughout the course of an event is a nightmare. There's also the idea of "realism" which will be another insight post I make at some point in the future. Suffice to say, although some girls sleep with the guy who is rude and treats them like shit, most tend to prefer being respected.

But choices still matter for Stranded in Space. I want the choices I present to be impactful. I want by the end of the game, after all of its updates, for one person's playthrough to be as significantly different as I can manage, given all the extra rendering that'll entail.

The three choices made in the first release of Stranded in Space will branch in different directions. If you choose choice A over choice B, you will not see choice B later on in the game. The decision is final and meaningful.

Anyway, here are some unused renders that were meant for a different version of the game.

Stranded in Space's first release is due sometime in December! I hope you'll consider lending me your support when the time comes!
