My take on this beautiful OC:

I don't know if she always has those proportions and that spindliness or it was just this one art, and I don't know if her tongue is always out or not but I wanted to do a different enough pose!

I have very few fire-themed monsters, so I tried to come up with some heat-generating Ectosaurs I might actually like, but so far, none have really clicked with me.
My favorite fire-element creatures I can think of in any series has always been those from the original Metroid and Super Metroid. They managed to make fire monsters look really weird and alien and I really liked that, so I think a lot of Metroid rubbed off in this design.
The spindly arms feel like something I overuse, however.

My official illustration for the indie game, Crystal Catacombs, which unfortunately wasn't successful enough for us to make much off it.
But I think this turned out among the best looking of the monsters I illustrated. I added the dimly visible organs myself.

I think if I had illustrated this today I would have actually stuck with the human-like appearance of the Polong in its original folklore; this bloody heart creature is kind of a little gauche, I think, but maybe people like that!
A polong is a female spirit in Malay folklore that can be created in a bottle of your own blood, and must be fed more blood every day to remain obedient to her summoner. In exchange, she'll use her friend the Pelesit (already uploaded!) to torment your enemies.

Puffing Gasper - a colorful, poisonous gasper whose design I still haven't come close to settling on.
Hunting Gasper - a gasper with a large, active, long-legged host. I don't know whether I like it with the beaky mandibles or with multiple petal-like fluke tongues.
Bleeding Gasper - freakish gasper with two blood-sucking, multi-pronged flukes, like a pair of hands.
Bouncing Gasper - a new concept as of just now, a little, round, mobile gasper that uses its fluke tongue to leap and grapple.
I meant to establish a basic template with the first couple Gaspers and then break it with just a few oddballs, but so far I've wound up breaking it in almost every idea.

These are just additional concepts of my favorite one, Blot, who is supposedly the filthiest and "grossest" transformer.
He sure looks a lot like the Rancor from Star Wars when you compare them

Artwork for a collaboration with my friend C.M. Kosemen, whom you may know better for "All Yesterdays!" Life got in the way for us both and we never finished the project, but it would have been a book detailing various vampires, ghouls and werewolves from world mythology.
The Lobishomen is a type of tiny, gnome-size vampire or lycanthrope resembling a yellow ape-man with blue lips. He's also said to be a "nymphomaniac" and gets drunk when he drinks blood.

Artwork I was commissioned back in 2012 for the indie game "Crystal Catacombs." BOY could I draw these a lot better if I did them today! I was still just learning digital art tricks!

When I first came up with Eyedra, it was a concept for a video game boss consisting of many, many eyeballs branching out of a giant animal skull. For whatever reason, its Mortasheen version became a humanlike skull with spider legs, but I kept coming back to the big animal skull concept.
I went so far as to draw and color this new skull before I felt it was a little too plain, too realistic.
I'm currently working on a more dynamic and more monstrous version.

Munchoids are mentioned only by name as some sort of villainous, alien threat in the animated commercial for McDonald's Changeables, an attempt to cash in on the popularity of Transformers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsYmLGPqV94
So this is what I think a Munchoid might look like, and I went for a stark comic-bookish art style.

The leaked Gold and Silver prototypes revealed an unused Weepinbel evolution resembling a larger Bellsprout, which apparently would have evolved with a "poison stone."
I like it, and I wish we'd gotten it, but if it HAD been up to me, I think it should have looked a little more toxic. Sure, they're already grass/poison types, but a "poison stone" evolution logically should've delved more into the poison theme.
So, here's my original pokemon, DETHLYNEL.
"Its incredibly concentrated poisons make short work of those foolish enough to mistake Dethlynel for the weaker Bellsprout it associates with."
"Its vivid coloration is attractive to hungry bug pokemon, but they soon become prey to be shared with its Bellsprout seedlings."

I thought about this while walking in the rain and wrote it as I went along, just the first few paragraphs of what could be a much larger story if I ever expanded it.
Right now, it's kind of just some messy worldbuilding. I don't really like the exposition being this abrupt and this dense; if I ever wrote this as a fully story, I'd probably try to spread out all these details over the course of a few chapters worth of character development.

I never read Harry Potter but I know that it was a crime they left these out of the movie.
Hagrid tries to give them teddy bears at one point to see if they sleep!!!!!
Their descriptions are kind of confusing but keep emphasizing that they have no discernible head, a rear end that acts like a rocket when they need to move fast and that possibly just males have a scorpion tail.

A request from last month for an original Wild Thing, from Where the Wild Things Are.
I couldn't really seem to nail Maurice Sendak's style and only one sketch came out sorta okay, but I immediately wanted to see what one might look like if it wasn't based mammalian or avian, so here's an amphibian one!
Maybe we don't see her because she's a loner who hangs out in a swamp.

I used to love the kind of aesthetic scene in Magic: The Gathering's Phyrexians, Todd McFarlane demons and evil digimon, and have been thinking more about bigger, tougher, spinier Mortasheen creatures.
