Tie Me Up 0.69 Released!

Version 0.69 is officially out!  Get it while it's hot!

Carrying captives has been debugged and finished.  You can now use space to pick up captives and set them back down again.

The new escape system is up.  Escape chances now follow a formula.  Each time you fail an attempt, the next attempt will have a bonus.  Bonuses stack with each failed attempt.

There are a few other fixes, as well as an engine update.

I'm going to push for a more complete gamemode for the office level (Jailor's Joy damsel collection) for the next release.

-  Formula for calculating escape chances is:

      -  chance = (0.23 * struggle power) - (0.0667 * tie level) - ((100 - current stamina) * 0.1)

      -  Current stamina is a value between 0 and 100, although 0 is never used in the formula as that’s when you’re exhausted and can’t struggle

      -  NPCs use the same formula, but have a zero chance when their tie level exceeds their strength and have their chances halved if the tie level equals their strength

-  Sent the Secretary on a vision quest

      -  Her spirit animal is a vibrator

Alright, seeding is over...

I'm still busy with my day job, but at least the worst is over and I have some time to work on TMU.

I'm taking footage of my animation work and I'll be posting it to Patreon subscribers as I finish each animation.

So about the next update...

Ugh.  We're about halfway through seeding.  Another week and my hours will become more sane and I'll have more time to work on TMU.

For the next update I'm going to continue to implement gameplay, I'm going to work on some performance issues people have had on the Office level and I'm going to continue to push for the new animations.

Once I've gotten all the standing animations done, then I can switch to the new rope models.  They've got a much lower tri count, look pretty good and will have six LODs.  You'll also be given the option to turn off high detail rope models in the menu.


I really am sorry about the lack of updates to the game.  I feel pretty bad about that, especially for Patreon subscribers.  I'm going to return to development as soon as I can, but my day job is really demanding.

I'm very, very sorry about the lack of updates as of late.  I'm still working on the game, currently focused on animation work.

Unfortunately my day job just started today and that means I'll be short on time.  I'm still going to keep going, but progress is going to be slow.

I'm sorry, the project is far from dead, but not as productive as would be ideal.

Tie Me Up 0.68 Released!

Good news, everyone!

It's been a long, long time since the last update.  I want to thank all of you for your epic +1 patience.

I'm pleased to say that a new version, 0.68, has just been uploaded to Dropbox.  You can find the download link here:

Although it's not in the documentation, an unfinished version of the upcoming Carrying mechanic is present.  Press space on a tied NPC to pick them up and carry them.  It's pretty buggy at the moment and the only way to drop an NPC is to take them to the back of the car parked outside.

I've also added a new level in this version, the Office!

It's not finished yet, but the general layout is there and I've added NPCs.  I've finished most of the lighting work and I still need to add furniture, but it's ready to be played.  Feel free to leave feedback on the level, I'd love to hear your opinions on how it plays.

Oh, and there's a surprise in the level too.  It's not hard to find.   >; D

I have an announcement to make

Hello everyone.


I have a very sad announcement to make.  The Secretary has died.

For the sake of fans and by her request, we chose not to tell the community that she suffered from brain cancer.  It made her life very difficult, as she would often forget to resume patrolling, when to stop pursuing the player, or how to remove things from her head.  Despite the challenges, she always found a way to pull through in the end.  The community and myself have supported her every step of the way.

On Wednesday, March 31st, the Secretary lost consciousness while I was debugging in play mode.  An ambulance prefab rushed her to Two Point Hospital.  Upon receiving an MRI, doctors found that her cancer had gotten worse.  The tumor had grown to 24 pixels wide and was too large to safely remove in Surgeon Simulator.

On April 1st, 2021, at 9:00 am this morning, the Secretary lost her battle against cancer.  She passed away peacefully during the night while the Unity Editor was minimized.


She was added to the Unity asset store on September 23rd, 2016.  She was five years old.

I've fixed the broken second level and started work on a new office level.  Although it's still early in construction, I would like to get feedback on it.  It's going to be the first proper level with actual gamemodes.

I've also added screenshot previews of level in level select instead of the generic placeholder.

There is a known bug where the version listed in the main menu is incorrect.

Apple Version

Alright, I finally got time to take a look at the Apple version.  It's not good.

chmod doesn't work, 755 or 777 or anything else because it's not a permissions problem at all.  It's Gatekeeper.

If you go to Security and Privacy settings, you should be able to see Tie Me Up listed at the bottom in General.  You can click Open Anyway to start it.  That's about the only way to do it.

Tie Me Up is not notarized, nor has Apple reviewed it as an app in the App Store.  I am not an identified developer and my code is not signed.  Becoming an Apple developer and getting my certificate is outside the budget (it's $100/year subscription, plus a good $2000 for a decent Apple development box as code signing for Apple on a Windows box might get messy).  There simply aren't enough Apple users here to justify the cost.

I am sorry.  I can't just bypass Gatekeeper.  That simply won't work for a commercial release.

I guess I can keep releasing Apple versions of the tech demo and later on the full demo, but it's not likely I'll be supporting Apple versions for the commercial release.  If the release makes enough money, I might support it later on, but don't count on it.

New Level Being Built!

I'm working on a new level for the game.  This will replace the (broken) second level currently in the game.

I'm hoping to make this the first level that implements actual gameplay!  It will likely have both Jailor's Joy and Dungeon Escape!

Level 6 Standing Animations Done

At least for now.  There are a couple missing, but I'll take care of that later.

Here are some screenshots of the new animations.  Not only do they use the new rope models, but they also now have facial expressions so characters will be far more expressive.

I'm not sure how exactly I'm going to roll out the new animations, as I'd like to get them in the game ASAP.  I'll look into some things and see what I can do.

New laying down animations on the way

There will be a variety of ways to tie a character up when they're laying on the ground, which will be rolled out at the same time as the upcoming Pounce action.

Right now I've got Pontikue experimenting with procedural ropes.  In the meantime, I'm going to work on carrying and leashing characters (as well as animation work).

I'm also going to start in on building our first gamemode, which will include a new level.

Custom Key Bindings

I forgot to tell everyone.  If you want to set a control that has a modifier to a single key, set both the modifier and the key to the same button (ex. press K and K when it prompts you).  We'll be cleaning that up in future versions.

I'm sorry for the long-ass wait.  Between exams and the new input system, this has been one of the most challenging updates to date.

The Apple version has been updated, but I haven't figured out how to make it run yet.  I'm planning on doing that later today if I can.

This update brings the game much closer to looking finished.  We now have a main menu, with graphics options and customizable controls.  Not everything is working quite yet.  Nothing in the Sound menu does anything and changing level of detail isn't implemented yet.  But everything else should work.

We've also redesigned the HUD.  It's much neater and more compact now.

Moving forward I'm going to start work on new levels and actual playable game modes, new gameplay mechanics and new animations.  We're over half done the game now, so I'd like start focusing more on making the game play more like a finished release and less like a tech demo.

Tie Me Up Early Access 0.672 released

Windows only.  The Mac versions are still broken and I haven't had time to look at them yet, sorry.

Nothing in the Gameplay or Sound menus work at the moment.  There is a known bug where the version number is perpetually displayed no matter which screen you're on.  LODs don't work yet, we haven't implemented them.

Pressing Home will still load the first level while CTRL+Home will load the new test level.  In the finished 0.68 release pressing Home will reload the current level you're on.

Rope Model Pack Updated

I probably should have done this in the first place, sorry.

The rope model pack has just been updated to include the original Blender ropes (including curves and rope basis).  That will make it much easier to adapt the rope models to your character models.

First model rigged with the new ropes

Thanks to a tool made by Pontikue, I only need to do this once.  The other models can be automatically rigged.

I'll still need to make some tweaks (scaling) to get the ropes to work with clothes, but other than that, it's looking good.

These are the default rope colours for the time being, but later on you'll be able to pick custom colours.

In fact, you'll be able to customize the colour of rope, tape, blindfolds, character skin colour and clothing colour.

Tie Me Up Rope Model Pack released!

As part of a commitment to the bondage art & gaming community, I'm releasing all the rope models for everyone to use freely.  All I ask is that either myself (fdnbgonds) or my project (Tie Me Up) is given credit for making them.

The models are provided as .fbx files.  If enough people badly want it, I can also share the original .blend files.  The models are provided as-is and will likely need modifying to fit other models.  There are no materials assigned to them, I build those inside Unity.

They can be used for renders or game projects.

Level 6 Ropes

Ropes for bondage level 6 are finished, at least for one of the bases.  Finally!  That's enough rope made to start in on new animations.

Breast Rope Revision 3

I still wasn't happy with it.  The ropes on the breasts looked like they just sat there, they didn't look tight.  I've added more rope.  I like this version much better.

Part of the challenge is I can't put any rope in between her breasts or the model won't work with characters that are wearing clothes.
