Diffuser Project File (Free until end of July)

Hey all!

Building on from the last tutorial, I worked into the Diffuser model/scene a little bit more and have put together this scene for you all to download.

It includes all the textures etc. for you to play with and adapt to your needs, so have fun with it and make sure to tag me in anything you make using it :)

Disclaimer: I have used Magic Bullet Looks for the post-production, so if you don't have access to that, just disable it in Redshift Post-FX and you should be good to go.

Also, if you can leave a rating on Gumroad it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Quick Tip: Creating A Carpet

FREEBIE! (INTERIOR PROJECT FILE)

Hey all!

As much as I love Redshift, I do find that it can be a little tricky to get good lighting for interiors - it can sometimes take some tweaking to get things to look right, particularly if you're just relying on the Redshift Sun & Sky rig.

This scene is the result of me fiddling with settings and parameters to get what I think is a pretty good, soft lighting setup.

I want to share this file with you guys and hopefully it will be interesting to dive in and see what's going on under the hood.

What I found made the most difference was to turn down the intensity of the sun/sky rig and then compensate for the lack of light by increasing the exposure and clamping highlights in the RS post-fx. This gives you a bright look whilst keeping the balance between sun/sky nice and soft.

I think it may be useful for you guys to see me build something like this from scratch so you can get an insight into how I tackled it, so if that is something you want to see from me, just let me know in the comments :)

'250 Patrons' Contest Poll!

Hey everyone!

I hope you're all having a great start to the year.

I want to start off by saying thank you to everyone who entered this contest, it was great to see all of your entries and it was really difficult to narrow it down to the top 5! It was a tough job to do, and so I'd like to thank Haruko and Luke for helping me out with this task.

Now I need all of your help! Leave your vote below and the top 3 votes will be the winners of this contest (I'll trust you guys not to vote for yourself). Download the Poster (attached) for a closer look at the artwork :)

Please don't feel discouraged if you haven't won on this occasion, there will be plenty more opportunities to get involved in contests in the future, and I've even got a contest going on currently with Greyscalegorilla, which is a great chance to get 1 whole year of GSG plus for free!

Thank you again for all the support, none of this would be possible without all of you!

Many thanks,
Ross

This is something I use a lot in my projects and so I'm excited to share this with you! Dropping later this week.
