Hello all you sexy Patrons,
In my journey to provide you with the greatest content in human history, I have finally got my shit together and am going to start producing some more educational videos.
I have been working on a japanning recipe for over a year and I think it's ready for prime time. This antique finish is tough as nails and I am hoping the video will be as fun and informative as always.
Also, I have some video ideas for remaking old tools from start to finish. I have talked about this a lot on the Fitzall podcast, but in case you don't listen to that (you are dead to me), I am letting you all know about it now. It should be a lot of fun to take an old patent document on a long-gone tool and remake it from scratch. These videos will require a lot of machining, casting, and hand finishing so I better get to work! Chris from Clickspring is helping out with one of them ;).
I also have a fantastic opportunity to restore an insanely rare (one of only 3 known) tool from a broken condition to like-new for a museum. This video will be a bit different as I must use period correct materials and finishes to restore the tool at hand.
At some point in the near future (no specific dates yet), I will be releasing some more collaboration videos as well. Abom79 will be helping machine the crosshead to the new and LARGER power hammer. Alec Steele will be helping forge the new linkage arms for that same power hammer. Jackman Works will be making a massive (6ft tall) wooden HTR wrench. Finally, This Old Tony will be helping machine some parts for an antique pasta making machine.
