Health, Touring, and Album Update ❤️

Dear Friends,

After seeing four different doctors in the hope of finding a solution for increasing neurological issues and pain throughout my body, I was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease.

While this was a bit of a shock, it has been a huge relief to have a diagnosis and to be working with a doctor who specializes in, not only treating, but curing this condition.

At the end of June, I started a 6 month treatment protocol, and I’m very happy to report that, after one month, I’m already beginning to see an improvement in my symptoms.

Lord willing, I hope to make a full recovery by January next year.

There is a possibility that my immune system may have sustained permanent damage because we caught the infection so late, and in order to give myself the best chance of making a full recovery, I’ve decided to postpone my Colorado tour until the spring of 2025.

In the meantime, I am so excited to be experiencing a very welcome wave of inspiration for the next record. Having something to dive into during my recovery is a huge blessing, and I’m excited to share three new songs with you next week and start the first phase of recording in September!

I can’t thank you enough for continuing on this creative journey with me, especially as I work towards healing my body and brain.

During this strange and unexpected turn in the road, your encouragement and support mean more than you know.

July Secret Hollow Shows!

My Dear Friends!

I’ve been preparing a very special show for Tuesday the 30th of July.

Over the last few weeks I’ve finished three of the eleven songs that I have drafted for the next album, and I can’t wait to share them with you ❤️

I chose these three to focus on because they represent the overall feeling of the next record thematically and musically, so much so, that when I finished them, I had the thrill that comes from laying down a foundation for a project and feeling it’s sturdiness undergird all the piles of ideas that materialize in the creative process 🏰

All three songs are true stories told as poetic or fantastic tales… which is a testament to the mystery of the creative process.

I didn’t set out to tell my story when I started each song, but the subconscious mind is so cunning that it always seems to tuck the trials and joys of my heart away in songs, and so preserve them from the censorship of my conscious mind.

I’m used to it by now, and it’s beautiful to share a veiled story that helps bring healing through the process of its creation.

My hope with this album is that by allowing the truth to exist in it’s strange beauty, it will bring healing to the listener as well 🕊️

I can’t wait to see you all ❤️

Relevant or Timeless Art?

Blacksmith Rough Mix!

The Power of Setting Small Goals

From Italy With Love…

Ok Friends, it’s story time.

Last year I received an IG message from an Italian Designer named Vittoria Bonini saying she loved the music I was creating and wondered if I would be interested in working together. I was very excited about this prospect, but after taking a look at her Instagram I noticed how busy she was with fashion shows and travel, so I held the possibility pretty lightly.

We stayed in touch and I enjoyed corresponding with her and her musician partner Demetrio and getting glimpses into the beautiful projects they were creating together. They are a very fun and warm hearted creative couple and I felt like I’d made two new friends.

A few weeks ago, they wrote me a message to say they were sending a surprise. I was very excited, but nothing in my wildest dreams could have prepared me for what arrived from Italy late last night.

The video above shows a one of a kind handmade dress from Vittoria, and I died of delight when I pulled it out of the box! If I was a dress… this is exactly the dress I would want to be. It captures the essence of medieval dreams and timeless haunting music in a way that I didn’t even know was possible for a dress to do!

It’s a true piece of art, and such an extraordinary gift. I’m already starting to dream up some music video ideas for the new album!

I wanted y’all to see it first, especially since you’ve heard the songs for the new album… any votes for which song this dress would go best with? I’m leaning towards Butterflies in My Mind, but Come Away might also be perfect.

P.S… the only reason I’m not smiling in this video is because I am still genuinely shocked at the beauty of this dress.
