I have an important announcement regarding the development of TMU.
You see, yesterday a man approached me. His name was Ted M. Unger and he knew who I was. He told me he knew what I was really looking for in life.
I needed Jesus.
I now understand that pornography is wrong and is the cause of all sexual assault in the world. I can’t live with the horrible knowledge that I am personally responsible for violence against women.
So I am making some changes to TMU, to make it more wholesome. I can only hope this will end human trafficking.
- When a character reaches orgasm, a video clip of the late Gilbert Gottfried performing standup comedy with the volume maxed out shall be superimposed over the horror
- The player will be able to press G while facing an NPC to apologize to them
- You will not be able to gather captives in Jailor’s Joy. Instead, you must go to confessional. Your score will be based on the number of times you confess.
- When you make an attempt to tie up an NPC, there will be a 50% chance the NPC will turn around and slap your face
- Pressing E on an NPC while facing them will give them a copy of Pornland by Gale Dines

Hey all!
The Dropbox link is no longer active and I'm removing references to it. I've cleared out my DB account and it won't be used for this project anymore.
Dropbox is badly set up for sharing projects like this. Bandwidth is very expensive, I have no way of monitoring how much data I've used at any time, no way to set automatic limits and they stealth ban you if you exceed monthly transfer limits. There is no way around the ban and although it is temporary, they increase the time your account is locked for each ban. This even applies to paid accounts.
It was costing me almost $900/year to get enough bandwidth to support TMU. That was Dropbox Business, which comes with three licenses. They wouldn't negotiate and allow me to purchase only one license, which would have been manageable. I subscribed to the service last year and I won't be renewing it coming April 1st.
The Google link is good to go. In the next release, I will be switching over to Mega. It has better bandwidth and a much lower cost.

Tie Me Up 0.7.3.2 is now out! Get it while it's hot!
In addition to a couple bug fixes, the escape chance modifier in the main menu should now be able to go negative (which means escaping will be hard, possibly impossible). Due to a bug, it can only be set from the main menu. Saving settings in the in-game menu doesn't work.
This release also has bite gags added! They're the icon at the very bottom and they take ballgag items. I hope you all love them, I think they're the best looking gags so far.

Good news everyone!
Tie Me Up 0.7.3.1 is now up and ready to go!!
In addition to some bug fixes and a feature update, we now have panel gags! The icon for selecting it is at the bottom of your inventory bar. I'm not making a custom icon for it as the entire HUD is slated for redesign soon and I'm not bothering to update the old one. Panel gags currently require ballgag items, which I'll later change to a 'leather' resource for all leather/latex gags and blindfolds.
The version numbering is getting a bit weird, but I've decided to split the gag/blindfold updates into separate smaller updates leading up to 0.7.4 instead of having you guys wait for all the models to be done.
Everything should be in order, but let me know if stuff is broken!

I'm at a writer's retreat right now (just arrived a few hours ago). I will be doing work on TMU while I'm here and I want to get an update released. I have a bit more work to do on the level 3 panel gag, then I just need to prep all three for export to Unity and then I have to implement them in game, as panel gags are new.

It's been a while since I last posted anything about TMU. I'm still very much working on it and starting to pick up the pace, but there is a lot on my plate.
I'm taking a course in Unity programming to earn my professional certification (and upgrade my skills), working on a tool in Blender that will make the upcoming gags much better and working on the gag models themselves.
I don't know for sure when the next release will be, but it will come eventually.

Alright, I'm posting an update on TMU.
As always, it's never dead, just a little slow sometimes. I don't feel good that you've all been waiting for such a long time for another update.
My dad meant a hell of a lot to me. I was born on September 28th, 1983. I started farming with my dad when I was fourteen years old. Back then, my grandfather was still alive.
It's normal on farms for the oldest member of the family to drive the combine. It's the largest and most complex machine we run. My grandfather taught me how to drive it when I was very young and I took over full time shortly after that. My dad said I was a natural with heavy machinery. I was.
The only way to own a farm yourself these days is to be lucky enough to be born a farmer. I am that lucky and for that reason, I won't squander it. I'm going to farm and I'm going to continue where my dad and grandpa left off. It's going to be hard and scary as hell, but I'm going to do it, no matter what. I'm ready to run a farm, I just wasn't ready to do it without my dad.
I want to tell you something else about me, something I wasn't comfortable sharing, but I think you've been waiting so long for an update to TMU that you deserve it. I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful community behind the project. What I reveal is by far not the only reason I work on TMU, but it is important to me.
I'm well educated. I have a certificate in New Media Communications, Microelectronics and Ag Sciences. I have a degree in Computer Science. Despite that, I admit that I was a poor student in university. I barely graduated.
I started work on my first game when I was 12. It was called Dementia and it was a screen-based side-scroller written in Basic. I had no internet connection, just a copy of Microsoft QBasic and a manual for GWBasic.
To me, computers were magical devices that could build anything you could imagine.
I have worked on over a dozen projects since then, mostly modding projects. But here's the thing: I never finished any of them. Not one.
I'm not happy with a project unless it's ambitious. If it's not awesome, then I don't want to work on it.
I usually quit a project after about three months. I look at the progress I've made after that time and what's left to be done and I feel discouraged.
When I was a kid, I really wanted to be a games developer. Like, real bad. I loved the idea of building anything you wanted, to bring to life anything you can imagine.
I have never finished a project. I am now 39 years old. I feel bad about that. I want to make something that means something to everyone here. How can I call myself a developer if I've never actually built anything?
TMU means a lot of things to me, beyond being a project I work on. TMU means a lot to all of you. Even if another developer makes something similar, I'm still building this and I will always be thankful for having you guys (and gals~!!).
My dad died of a massive heart attack in his late sixties. We honestly thought he'd live to his late eighties. It was so sudden that it scares me. He went upstairs one night. He was in perfect health. Hell, farming wore me down more than him this year. My mom heard him hit the floor. She called an ambulance and did chest compressions, but he was dead instantly. We never got to say goodbye.
It's made me more determined to build TMU. To that end, I've enrolled in Unity's Professional Programmer certificate course. My skills are badly out of date (I learned to write code for old Pentium 4's back in the day). I'm going to upgrade my skills so I'm better equipped to build this. After that, I'm going for my associate certificate as a Unity artist. This will slow things down a bit, but it will not stop development. I'm going to upgrade my skills so I'm better at what I do on this project in the long run.
The next update will include not only better versions of the current gags and blindfolds, but new ones too. I'm going to work on the 3D models in between sessions spent in the programming course. It will take time, but I'll do my best to make it worth your while.

I'm normally a goofy bastard, but I don't know how I'm going to be for the next week.
I was just called to my parents house tonight. My dad fell on the floor while in the bedroom upstairs.
He was unresponsive. My mom called an ambulance and spent the night doing chest compressions. He didn't make it. My dad died tonight.
I dropped off our oldest tractor to John Deere today. He drove me home after he had some coffee and donuts at Tim Hortons. We joked a bit about our tractor's chronometer rolling over past 10,000 hours. There was an auction years ago where some young guys thought they would get some low-hour tractors. The tractor was made in the 70's, there are none with low hours.
He took a sample of wheat in to be tested for quality after he dropped me off.
The farm is mine now and I have to go it alone. It's going to be hard as hell.
I didn't think that today would be the last time I would see him.
My mom is pretty hurt. I'm going to see her tomorrow. The ambulance is still at my parents house right now. They're required to investigate.
My dad was 69 years old.
I want to write more about him. He was an amazing person. He was very smart and very very hard working. I was always amazed at what he could do.
There is a lot of work left. My shower needs fixing, I've got a mouse infestation, our machine shop needs doing, I need to sell grain, I've got a garage door to fix... all things I thought I'd do with him.
I think I might write more about him later, but for now, it's too overwhelming. I'm going to bed soon. I can't believe that when I wake up, I'll be in charge. I'll never see him again. I wasn't prepared for this. I'm ready to run the farm, but I'm never ready for my dad to die.
If I'm a bit laggy on work (and I have been), I'm in a bit of a mess right now. The farm is a lot to handle and I need to take over everything. I'm just so overwhelmed right now.

It's been forever since the last update! TMU is, as always, never dead, just slow. I got pretty burned out after the big animation update and the graphics work didn't help. I'm sorry this took so long. Unless you're on my Patreon, then this is the longest anyone has ever had to wait.
That said, this update contains all content from the Patreon releases as well as some new content. All character models are now updated, which means that rope shouldn't clip through clothes anymore. This is one of my favorite features of Tie Me Up. Too many games that have bondage in them either make the ropes too big and it looks silly, or they give characters tight clothes that can't clip. I want characters to have a variety of outfits without having to design them around the rope models. The clothes should change with the rope, just as they would in real life.
But wait, there's more! In light of how long this update took (and how awesome you guys are), I'm donating $500 CDN to the TMU developer fund, which Patreon users are currently supporting. This will give TMU more resources to work with in the future, which will allow me to commission out certain parts and add new features that normally wouldn't have made it into the game.

Sorry for the long wait guys!
I just finished the last of the modelling work on Aki's school uniform. It looks much better in rope now. Not much more work left!
Next up I need to get all her bits and pieces into Maya so I can rig and skin her so the animations in-game will work.
Then I export to Unity, set up the new prefabs and update the levels! It will take a few more days I think, but the worst is now over.
The next phase of the graphics updates is new blindfolds and gag models, including some new ones that aren't in the game yet!

Patreon 3 is now out! The AI is now fixed and working again, the escape formula no longer returns 0% when player is at full stamina and gag sounds shouldn't be doubled up anymore.
The most important change is Naoko's model update. Her crotch rope now lifts her skirt. ; )
This is the last Patreon-only release for 0.7.3. I'm going to start work on Akimoto's model next, then I'm going to make a big public release containing all changes to date.

I'm sorry for the long delay on getting the next version out. It's been a difficult month and spring seeding is now in full swing. I work 6 am to 9 pm every day. Seeding is expected to be finished sometime next week.
I can assure you that TMU is definitely not dead or dying. The modelling work for Naoko is done, I just have to finish rigging and skinning her model in Maya and getting the prefab set up in Unity. I'm beat every day I get home, but I'm still going to try to get this update out at some point soon.
I really, really appreciate everyone's patience. I could hardly ask for a better community.

New version is now out!
I've updated the player character. She now has her old sweater version again, on the Street level. Most of you probably don't remember it; it only appeared in early versions of the game. I took it out because you couldn't see the ropes at all through it.
There are some minor clipping issues, which I will fix in a later version. Right now I'm going to focus on getting the worst of the modelling work done. I have Akimoto and Naoko left to do.

Sorry for the long delay between updates! The truth is, I got burned out after the huge animation update and tried to push the graphics work right after. That burned me out even more.
I took the last couple weeks off to recharge my batteries, only working for short periods each day. I regret that.
TMU is probably one of the more ambitious bondage game projects out there. It's also my first commercial project. I've worked on over a dozen (smaller) projects in the past, but nothing like this.
I'm passionate about bondage and I firmly believe that sexual pleasure is not just.. well, pleasurable, but is also a human need. I believe we could all use a little more love in our lives and sex is a part of that. I believe that pornography is a part of our sex lives and doesn't have to be violent or hateful. For that reason, I'm determined to finish TMU, even if I sometimes have rough patches along the way.

I just finished this up last night!
For those of you who weren't around in the early days, this was the original player model in early versions of TMU. I actually really liked her sweater, but because it doesn't fit tightly, it clipped the ropes really badly. I used her tanktop instead as it was slightly better. I'm really looking forward to getting this working in game!

I finally got the kinks out and got the first early build ready!
There will be bugs, like minor clipping issues with the models during animations. I'm going to polish things up later on, after I've finished working on the other character models.
Ashley is the highlight of this update. I've updated her clothing and bikini models so they no longer clip through her ropes. I know you guys are gonna love her new crotchrope, it now lifts her skirt!

Damn, bad news.
I was setting up the new Ashley when I discovered some pretty serious problems with the models. This won't be easy to fix.
I know I kept saying when the next update would be out and I kept missing those deadlines. I'm sorry.
It's not a small issue, it's pretty bad and I can't update the models without fixing it. I'll get on it and get it done as soon as I can.
