Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

This is our first reaction since taking a week or so off for Christmas and we're starting back off with a bang - It's Ridley Scott's Alien (1979)!

Incredibly gripping, tense, with plenty of jumps, it's an amazing introduction to what we know has become a huge franchise. Sigourney Weaver was iconic as Ripley, supported by an amazing small cast of interesting characters.

 We definitely want to see more of these movies so let us know if you think they'll be worth reacting to!

Oppenheimer

Danny is working on Oppenheimer at the moment. This movie was so unique and powerful. The acting, music and visuals were just next level, another amazing Nolan film to add to our list and a new one for Danny too which is so much fun! Expected to be up on Saturday 💙

The Penguin 1x4 'Cent'anni'

This edit should be finished later in the week, I'm hoping it will be on YouTube by Sunday evening! I have to say, this episode was just the best yet. It honestly destroyed me - I think I may have cried from start to finish 😂😂 I can't wait to share this with the YouTube gang. SOFIA 4 LIFE

Is this a Christmas movie? Well it's good enough for us.

This is the first of two Christmas movies that we will be doing on the channel in 2024.

What it undoubtedly is, is an iconic 80s action classic that neither Danny nor Niamh had seen.

It was so much fun from start to finish we were both so impressed with it.

The Penguin 

We have recorded episode 6 of the Penguin, 'Gold Summit'. We're hoping to get that up on here in the next couple of days.

This episode really ramped things up and as we head into the penultimate episode of this show - we are fascinated by this power struggle in Gotham and the showdown that's surely on it's way!

Movie Night

This week's movie for Patreon is 'Die Hard', the 1988 action movie starring Mr Bruce Willis. We are doing this as the first of two Christmas movies that will go up on Youtube in the week or so before Christmas - not that I've heard anything about this movie that suggests it's particularly Christmassy - so very curious about this one.

We're not likely to get this recorded until Saturday, which would mean it's not up until Sunday most likely - as per Oppenheimer this week - that schedule is just working a little better with our routines at the moment.

Stranger Things 

I'm still shellshocked from the Season 3 finale this week but we roll swiftly on into Season 4!

We are planning to get stuck into Stranger Things Season 4 as soon as possible, but it'll depend on our schedules. We're both putting in a few extra hours at work right now as things ramp up for Christmas so it's made things a little more difficult for us to get together to record reactions.

But rest assured we are determined to get some Stranger Things recorded at some stage this week so if this episode is not up by the weekend it'll be up early next week at the latest.

Movie Night

This week on YouTube it's 'Good Will Hunting'.  This was such a lovely movie to edit, & Niamh loved it too, she wasn't expecting the romantic plot to be so to the forefront of this story so she was loving that, and both of us laughed and laughed at what was a hilarious script!

I'm going to put this one out on Saturday night, for me, it's actually a lot easier to sit in on the Premiere on a Saturday night than a Friday (cause I have no life any more and never go out on Saturday nights) - so I might see how this week goes with a view to Movie Night moving to a Saturday for the foreseeable future.

The Penguin & Stranger Things

Niamh is diligently working on the Penguin and Stranger Things edits. Obviously we posted the Stranger Things 3x4 Reaction last night. So she's working on The Penguin 1x3 Reaction now and is confident that it will be done this week at some stage. As for the next Stranger Things, it will depend how she gets on with the edits this week, but if not this week it will definitely go up next week.

Oppenheimer (2023) | Full Length Reaction

Hey guys, this week's movie night is Oppenheimer (2023). We've just recorded this earlier today, and it truly was a film like no other that we've ever seen before. We were both blown away by it (excuse the pun 😬) - it was incredible how this biopic not only portrayed this man's fascinating life, but also that it conveyed the huge moral dilemmas that his work led to.

Hey guys, Niamh here - just giving an update

Unfortunately the past weekend/ beginning of this week I've been unwell. This alongside Danny’s dad duties meant that our filming and editing were affected - BUT we are getting back on track! Here's what to expect this coming weekend

Movie: This week we are filming Oppenheimer which is a new Nolan film for both of us. Very exciting as we both remember the hype around this one when it first came out!

Stranger Things: We are planning to film the FINALE of Stranger Things 3 which is just crazy as I have no idea where the time has gone. This episode is really up there for me as one of the best episodes of the show, I'm so excited to see what Danny thinks...

The Penguin: apologies for no Penguin episode last week. We hoped to get it filmed at the weekend but obviously we weren’t able to. But this week we will be filming 5 and I for one cannot wait. I’m truly obsessed with this show 😂 and I know Danny is loving it too. I’ve now convinced various members of my family to watch it - the issue is they’re all getting ahead of me and I’m jealous of them now 😭 if we have time to film episode 6 as well this week, BEST BELIEVE we will!

Because we’re filming a little later in the week than we had hoped, all of these videos are to be expected between Friday-Sunday. I can’t give exact days but as soon as we can, we will have them up! Thank you guys as always for your amazing support 💙 hope everyones having a good week x

Stranger Things 

We recorded Stranger things 3x7 on Saturday afternoon so that is coming. I wanted to just keep it going after this one finished and just finish the season but Niamh quite rightly reined me in.

So I have another few days to wait before watching the finale but needless to say, this season has been amazing! The stakes feel so much higher and I genuinely cannot wait to see how this is resolved because right now it seems like the odds are stacked against us!

Movie Night

This week's movie for Patreon is 'Good Will Hunting', the 1997 drama that was runner-up to Se7en in our most recent 90s Classics Poll.

We've literally just finished recording this one so it's very fresh as I'm writing this, safe to say Niamh loved it, she loved the growth of all the characters as they move through the film. I'd seen it a few times before but not very recently and what struck me was just how many touching moments there are in this film. Really uplifting film that has left both Niamh and I feeling good about life tonight 😊

The Penguin 

The plan is to record Episode 5 of the Penguin this week some night so that it can be up at the weekend. So we haven't seen it yet but assuming all goes to plan that will be up on Sunday!

The first four episodes have been so good! It's as good a gangster show as there is on TV and I thought those last two episodes which really put Vic and Sofia respectively front and centre were so interesting and really added both depth and stakes to the series.

So far so good and I can't wait to see what's coming next!

Stranger Things

Episode 3 of season 3 is due on YouTube this week. Niamh is working diligently on the edit for it as I write this so all goes to plan that will be live on its usual Wednesday slot.

Movie Night

This week on YouTube it's 'Se7en'.  I'm working my way through the edit of this one and by reexperiencing every scene again I'm really appreciating how every aspect of this film is driving that dreadful aesthetic of the setting - the result being a 'sinful' feeling city. Very well done and a really well thought out movie in many ways.

Hoping this week will be the week I can get Movie Night back into its traditional Friday slot but I'm reluctant to promise anything - I have a 6 month old guys, it's hard to find editing time!

The Penguin

Also hopefully we will be able to get the next episode of The Penguin out to YouTube on Sunday, however it’s a big undertaking by Niamh to try to get two episodes edited in a week so we will just have to see how things play out.

If not Sunday it’ll be up asap after that.

Coming this week!

Hey guys, Niamh here! Just a little update on what's coming up this week.

Patreon

So we both had a busy weekend/ start of this week which meant we couldn't get all of the filming/ editing done that we normally would, but thankfully we were able to film our reaction to the next episode of Stranger Things (3x6) which should be coming on Wednesday evening. Later in the week we will be filming Inception (which I have never seen and am slightly nervous for as I hear it is seriously confusing???😆) and we will be filming the next episode of The Penguin (episode 3). Both of these full length reactions will be up this weekend (most likely Movie: Friday and The Penguin: Sunday)

We try to use our filming time as productively as possible so if we have time to get any extra episodes filmed - we will! And of course I will update you if there is any extra content coming this week 💙 it's honestly crazy how LONG it takes us to film videos - we are truly so easily sidetracked 😂 and even editing the full-length versions together takes time, plus hours of exporting 🥲 so bare with us as we try to balance everything with work and life etc. We are working hard on trying to increase the content here on Patreon for all of you!

Over on YouTube we have some exciting reactions coming - episode 2 of s3 Stranger Things - The Mall Rats. I love this episode... and any episode that utilises Starcourt as much as possible because it is my fav location in Stranger Things ever. Danny is truly getting into the tone of this season. And hands down my favourite part to edit was his reaction to Steve and Dustin's reunion/handshake - it was SO WHOLESOME 😂 I'm currently working on the edit for the Penguin episode 1 which I hope to upload to YouTube on Sunday and every Sunday going forward (as long as copyright checks all go well 🤞🏻)

On the movie front Danny is taking on the edit for Interstellar which should be up by the weekend! This movie was seriously so mind blowing, even I am excited to see our reactions to it 😂 it was pretty much nothing like what I expected and we both came out of it totally blown away. Excited to share it with the YouTube gang!

This week on YouTube it's 'The Green Mile'.  Much requested in the comments of our Shawshank Redemption reaction - this one was a really emotional reaction! I'd seen it before and yet I still needed a few tissues, and well, Niamh was very emotionally invested so felt some of those incredible moments in this film too!

I'm currently supposed to be working on the edit for that one and procrastinating by writing this post. 😂

But this one should be on YouTube this weekend assuming there's no difficulties with copyright etc. I'm aiming for that usual Friday slot but if I'm a little behind like with The Batman last week then it could be Saturday.
