Screwdriver Update!

Hello my children,

The screwdrivers are closer than ever.  New CNC machines have been procured and coding is finished.  Material choice and design have also been finalized.  Butthole is fully clenched because I may be in debt now for the rest of my life.

I am making about 100 large screwdrivers available to Patrons only very soon.

The only catch is that I won't be putting any handle scales on or hardening these ~100.

I want you all to finish them in any way you want!  I will use your finished screwdrivers as examples in the YouTube launch video.

If you don't want to do that, you can always wait until I sell them fully complete, but they will obviously be at a higher price.

These are made out of 1144 steel which means they are very very easy to harden.  If you have a blowtorch and vegetable oil, you are done.  You do not even need to temper it after hardening and there will be virtually no warping.

I will provide a template and brass pins for the handle scales, should you choose to make them out of any material.

I have had many people contact me with their ideas, and that makes me super excited to see what you all come up with!

Large Wrench Production Video

The large wrenches are live at https://www.handtoolrescue.com/products/mcsqueezatron-5000

I hope you all enjoy it if you do pick one up!  This endeavour took over a year to finalize and produce as many improvements were made to the wrench over its original counterpart.

I am so excited to finally have these in production!

The Large Wrench Cometh

The 9" wrench will be for sale exclusively to patrons on August 12, 2020!

When I post the video of the large wrench making process here on Patreon, the sale page at www.handtoolrescue.com will be up and you can grab one before the sale goes live to the general public the next day.

There are only ~1000 available right now, but if they run out, I will make more at some point, so do not stress!

These ones are uniquely numbered as well.

Screwdrivers are still happening!  The new machine to make them is now in the shop and production shall happen soon so that we can have them for sale this year.

Thank you all! - send me your signatures

I just wanted to give an extra massive thank you to all the patrons that helped make the drag saw restoration possible.  It was expensive! haha
I found the drag saw about 3 years ago in Ontario for $600, then the shipping to Saskatoon was $1200, the new or made parts were at least $200.  If I don't include any labour cost, it was at least $2000 to get it running in my shop, so thank you all for making this happen.
As a thank you I want to make a plaque/sign to place in front of the saw when it is running at antique engine shows.  I want the sign to show off all the people that supported the restoration.

So, if you have a logo sticker of your workshop/business I would like to stick that onto the sign.  If you do not have that, which is probably more likely, you can send me your signature on a piece of paper, with your name typed out below it.  I can then stick this onto the sign with all the others.  I'll get the whole thing laminated when it is ready!

You can send things to:
Hand Tool Rescue
PO Box 23002
Market Mall
Saskatoon, SK, Canada

No digital signature, as I want the real pen! Plus, do you really trust me with your digital signature?

SCREWDRIVERS!

Remember when we talked about these being made when we weren't all physically distancing? Me neither.

These have been in the works for a long time now and I am getting closer to finishing the design.

I do not yet know what exact type of steel for the body, or wood for the handles, or cost/price, but at least the design is there.

As always, Patrons get first access to these!

EVAPO-RUST 25% OFF DISCOUNT

Even this excites me!  Evapo-Rust is offering 25% off of their 1 gallon size and the Rust-Block spray on Amazon only for March 2020 using the code "25fitzall".

You can listen to the podcast above for more details about it if you want, but if you ever wanted to order some, now might be the time!

Only for Americans though, which is not ideal for me and others, but better than nothing!

Patrons get first access!

Bonjour!

I have decided to make ~50 "Reverse" Mini Wrenches for no real reason other than they need to exist.  Can you use it as a wrench? Not really!  Does that matter? You tell me.  This is definitely more of a "Collector's Item" than the usual wrenches.

You all will get first access to pick one up as I will make the sale announcement on Patreon.

As for the "Perfect Handle" screwdrivers and 9" wrenches, I am hoping to have those for sale sometime this year.  The screwdrivers have many more steps of production than the wrenches, so it just takes time to get everything lined-up.   I would also like to make "Heavy-Duty" versions of the wrenches that go beyond the 1879 reproductions.

Hopefully all goes well!
