July Wip

If you’re new, you’d think this is a super wholesome scene. But if you’re an old fan, you'll know what happens next.

You might look at the cover art and think, “Oh, this doesn’t quite match the [Invade] scene I remember.” That’s because I decided if I’m gonna remake it, everything needs to be on point. So, I changed the scene. But the core plot and content won’t change. There’ll be extra shots, but nothing will be cut.

Let’s talk about the plan this time. Basically, I don’t think I’ll call this series [Invade R] anymore—just [Invade] is fine. Everyone knows it’s a remake, so no need to stress the “R.” Originally, I planned for the mother character to have my usual body type, like what you see with Chisato or Okayu. But I felt that was too JK and I wanted a more MILF vibe. So, I climbed the 7,777 steps to High Hrothgar, found the MILF master, and learned from them. I think the new look fits my ideal vision much better. What do you guys think?

For the daughter’s character, I kept the original design but made her look a bit… younger, and added some elements I like. The Chisato and Pekomama videos in progress are on hold, even though they’re nearly done. Those were initially made to test some stuff, and I’ll probably finish them sometime later. But right now, the Invade remake is my priority. On another note, I feel like I’ve done too many big-chest character videos lately and I’m getting a bit tired of it. I want to mix in some flat-chest characters to balance things out.

I haven’t fully planned out how long the entire [Invade] remake will be, but I think it’ll have more content than the original. Also, because of the remake, I went back and looked at a lot of my old projects, and suddenly I’m hit with this wave of nostalgia. I realize the stuff I made back then was actually pretty good. With today’s skills, I could definitely make them better, but I’m not going to remake every old project since we’ve got plenty of new plans lined up. For now, I’m expecting to focus on [Invade] this month. I might squeeze in some smaller videos to keep things from getting too stale, but [Invade] will definitely be split into multiple episodes. There’s no way it’ll wrap up in one go like [New Management] or [Ending].

okay that's all, If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up on my server or drop a comment below. I’m happy to answer

Cat walk, and It’s a cat walk in every sense of the word. (This animation is totally pointless, I have no idea what I’m doing, it’s just a meme.)

New Management bonus 2K and exclusive content.

Traveler, have you heard the legend of Ranni, the Lunar Princess? She severed the shackles of the Greater Will, cast aside the Golden Order, and walked the path of the dark moon. If you yearn for the truth hidden behind that which is forbidden, then seek my trail. Within the inscriptions I’ve left—etched upon the mark of my identity—Ranni’s will quietly endures, concealing secrets none can easily grasp. Study my traces closely, and journey alongside me.

Luminous dawn with golden streaks,

9 rays ignite the hilltop peaks,

Gentle mist in valleys clings,

3 sparrows soar on fragile wings,

Kaleidoscope of colors bloom,

8 flowers scent the morning’s room,

Velvet breeze through woodlands flows,

2 trails I tread where sunlight glows,

Nightfall creeps with starry veil,

7 dreams take flight on cosmic trail,

Firelight hums in quiet peace,

4 hopes endure till dawn’s release.

New Management bonus

I made it right? am I right? So that means I’ve got an update for June! Uh, this is actually the final shot of [New Management]. Right after [New Management] was done, I felt like this shot existed but didn’t have an animation. So, I’ve been wanting to make this video for a while. It was either yesterday or the day before, when I reused the [New Management] image for an announcement, that I suddenly realized this scene totally deserves its own animation. So, here we are, a butt animation, Hope you guys like it

Totally chill topic

Before we dive in, this is actually a super chill topic. You can go grab some cake, a donut, or whatever treat you’re craving, because, that's right, today’s theme is ...

PAY.

Now, you might think anything money-related has to be super serious, but today I’m not here to tell you to subscribe to me or ask what subscription model you prefer. The answer’s obviously “free is best,” so I’m not even gonna ask. In fact, what I want to share today is the complete opposite. I’m telling you that you don’t need to subscribe to me every month unless you really want to support my work.

Here’s the deal: in the last post, someone suggested I try a new payment model—maybe selling videos individually instead of doing monthly subscriptions. Oh man, there’s a ton of details here, so much that I decided to write a whole new post to talk about it. First off, I want to say I take community feedback super seriously. I do my best to understand the issues people run into and explain the problems they point out. I’ll even tell you why I don’t do certain things. You can take what I’m about to say with a totally chill vibe because, honestly, these issues have already been sorted out. Well, at least if they haven’t, that’s my problem to deal with(´・ω・`)

The first thing is, I don’t really do stuff that doesn’t have a point. Way back, before there was even a 1500 subscription tier—back when it was just 500 and 3000—someone asked me, “Can you give the 3000 tier extra videos?” Because, obviously, with the 3000 tier, all you got compared to the 500 was an SD specifically for KK. So, people were asking if the 3000 tier could get “extra videos.”

Back then, I explained one thing to them: time is limited, and everyone knows that. Let’s say I can make a 150-second video each month. But if you want extra content, what happens? The 3000-tier people would get the full 150-second video, while the 500-tier folks might only get, say, 120 seconds. So, in reality, you’re still just getting a 150-second video, but the 500-tier people are shortchanged with 120 seconds. You might think you’re getting extra content, but you’re not really.

Why does this happen? Let’s say I hide some stuff and claim I can only make a 120-second video each month, but I actually have 150 seconds ready. If you want the extra 30 seconds, you’d need to buy the 3000-tier subscription. That setup could work. But the problem today is, I’m already giving you everything I’ve got. I can only make 150 seconds a month, period. Even if you pay me more, I can’t churn out more video because I’m already maxed out. That’s why people paying 3000 yen don’t get extra videos. Uh, if you’re a 1500-tier subscriber, you’ve probably noticed what the “extra content” in that tier really is—y’know, those who get it, get it.

So, back to the question of whether you should go with individual purchases or a subscription. Let’s say you subscribe to me for 500 yen a month. In a month with no new content, you might feel like you’re losing out. But in a month with content, it feels like things are on track, right? Now, what happens with individual purchases? Suppose there’s no content in June, but there’s one video in July. That July video would cost 1000 yen because I had no income in June. That’s a realistic pricing standard. Now, what if I have two videos in a month? Each would be priced at 250 yen. So, whether you subscribe or buy individually, the cost ends up being about the same. Since every creator thinks about this, I’m not gonna overcomplicate it. I’ll just lay out my own example for you.

I’m not just a creator; I also subscribe to others. I’ve got four people I consistently stay subscribed to without ever unsubbing. This is a bit of a side topic, but I can introduce you to who they are.

Uh, I don’t think anyone doesn’t know this guy. I especially love the comics he makes, particularly the Necro Museum arc and some of his short stories. His technical skills and creativity are off the charts—definitely a top-tier figure in the R18G community.

This guy’s a bit different—he’s not really into R18G, but his take on pseudo-rape themes really clicks with me, so I’ve been supporting him long-term too.

Basically, I think long-term support comes down to wanting to see every single update someone puts out—that’s when you stick with them. I don’t really care how often these folks update each month, but like you guys, I’m pretty careful with my money.

Those four are the only ones I’m subscribed to long-term on FANBOX. What about the others? Good question!

[Skyrim mods] There is a discord channel just for the supporters, so if you want to join this channel, send me a DM

This guy’s an absolute genius. He makes a ton of custom race mods for Skyrim so people don’t have to look super ugly and can basically be a waifu in the game. But here’s the deal: I only subscribe when he releases a character I like, like Okayu, Korone, or Pekomama. If it’s a character I don’t know, I skip subscribing that month. I think that’s why his subscription is set at 1500 yen. He knows people will sub just for specific characters they want and then unsubscribe until another fave drops. I think that’s totally fine—it’s a healthy market. He figures one character is worth 1500, so his minimum subscription is 1500. If there’s more than one character in a month, you’re getting a steal. If not, it means you’re cool paying 1500 for one character, and he’s fine selling one for that minimum price.

So, whether you go for a one-time purchase or a monthly subscription, it’s really just surface-level stuff. In reality, neither method makes creators more money or saves subscribers cash. Both sides come up with a fair estimate to decide what something’s worth. I feel like I want to spend 1500 yen on Okayu, and he wants to sell Okayu for 1500 yen. I subscribe for a month, then wait until he releases another character I like to sub again. It’s not much different from buying outright.

So, I’m not gonna stress over how to price things or whether to go with subscriptions or one-time purchases—it doesn’t really matter. What I really want to tell everyone is simple: you can totally unsubscribe every month. Just resub when there’s something you want to see. That’s how I do it too, unless you really want to support my work.

I feel like updating every month or on a fixed schedule means you’ve got a solid SOP in place. You have a quality control standard, and every piece you put out is about the same (high) quality, so you can estimate how much time each project will take. That lets you produce consistently and predictably. That’s probably something I’d consider adopting down the line, but right now, I really can’t promise everyone a set number of releases each month. I don’t want to waste anyone’s money either. I just want to say I’m totally cool with people unsubscribing because sometimes there just isn’t new content, and honestly, I do the same thing myself.

Alright, circling back to my last post—I think it’s awesome that people are open to sharing what’s on their mind. Someone once asked me if I’m just a super chatty person. Honestly, I don’t think that’s it. I just take my work really seriously, and I’m happy to explain the reasoning behind every decision I make. You know, I’m a big science nerd, and I like to keep things real. I almost always put in the comments of every post that if you have any questions, I’m more than happy to answer. By now, you guys probably know I mean that for real.

June end-of-month settlement.

Alright, let me tell you something hilarious. According to my yearly plan, June was supposed to be “keep this month free to tackle some unfinished stuff and prep for July’s request videos.” Then I realized, holy crap, there aren’t even that many unfinished things! The only stuff I haven’t finished is just… more videos. So, guess what? I dove right back into making videos.

Then I decided that besides my monthly plans at the start of each month, I should also do an end-of-month recap to help me figure out what’s still left and what’s actually making progress.

A few days ago, I was testing out some lighting and skin texture combos, tweaking various body parameters. I think this new character style looks way more appealing than before. I’m planning to use this technique to upgrade all the characters in my future videos.

As for Chisato’s video, the progress is at about 50 seconds. I’m aiming for at least two to two and a half minutes. Due to FANBOX’s file size limit of 300MB per video, 2:30 is roughly the max, so this video should land between two and two and a half minutes. I’m hoping to include two positions—we’ll release once in one pose, then toss her to the ground and switch to another pose to keep going, similar to how [Ending] it has two positions.

As for Pekomama’s video, I think it’s mostly done. It’s just missing a few details I want to tweak. Otherwise, the animations are basically finished.

But at the same time, I’m planning out how to tackle [Requiem]

A few days ago, the creator of these characters updated their outfits. I’ve been thinking about how to wrap up this series. Basically, cramming six characters into one video is impossible unless the video’s like 20 minutes long or they’re just background with no detailed animations. But I don’t think that’s what people want. So, I came up with a solution.

They’re all adventurers who went missing after entering a dungeon. Your mission is to go into the dungeon and find this team. Well, of course, since you’re my audience, you already know they’ve all met a grim fate. But with a dungeon setting, there’s a ton of stuff to play with—traps galore, all sorts of things you can do. Picture [Requiem] as a necro encyclopedia. As you move forward, each episode introduces one or two characters with different scenarios. That’s my current idea for how to pull off this series. So, actually, Pekomama’s video ties into this dungeon concept and my plan.

Lastly, about [Invade R]—basically, [Invade R] won’t just be one episode. Considering the original version had four episodes, it’s unlikely I can cram everything into a single [Invade R] unless I cut way too much. But since I’m calling it “overcutting,” you all know that’s not gonna be good. I think a lot of remakes mess up because they change too much of what was already great. So, you can think of [Invade R] as just a visual and animation quality upgrade. The plot and characters are pretty much the same.

I once thought about swapping the characters to Pekora and Pekomama since they’re obviously more popular and would bring in more attention or traffic. But I figured this remake is for the OG fans, the ones who’ve been supporting me from the start, not some promo to pull in new viewers. So, I’m not planning to make any changes.

Alright, after all that talk, the question everyone’s dying to ask is: when’s the new video dropping (any of them)?

I’m currently thinking the most likely videos to be finished first are Pekomama’s or Chisato’s. I might want to wrap up Pekomama’s video first so you guys aren’t too bored over the weekend, since Chisato’s video probably won’t be done in three days. As for the damn request I was supposed to do for July—well, good thing I haven’t taken payment yet, ‘cause I already knew something like this might happen. I’m terrible at taking commissions. Whether it’s [Occupational Injuries] or [Ending], I dragged those out for like a year before finishing. I’m freaking awful at sticking to plans because I keep coming up with new ideas. (Big thanks to those super patient requesters who keep waiting without getting annoyed)

I’ve been swamped lately. Since it’s my birthday today, I was feeling all reflective and wanted to write about some stuff I’ve seen or heard recently. But I’ve got a session with my personal trainer in a few hours, and I haven’t even slept yet. I’ve been glued to my chair for a week without exercising, and I bet my trainer’s gonna give me that exasperated look tomorrow. Oh, and if you’re picturing me lifting massive weights like some jacked dude, you’re way off. My workouts are more like an old person doing physical therapy. I remember one day I told my trainer, “Hey, I can walk on the treadmill at a 15 incline and 3.5 speed and not feel wiped out!” (I’m not sure what units those machines use, but that was a big deal for me compared to a year ago.) And my trainer just stared at me with this dead-serious look, like a doctor about to tell me I’ve got cancer, and said his 70-year-old clients can walk that easily too. So, yeah, my gym time is basically just me trying to lift my limbs. If you’re a creator sitting in a chair for 14 hours a day, you’re probably in the same boat as me.

Anyway, if you’ve got any questions, feel free to swing by my server and ask. I’m happy to answer.

I decided to make this video longer

As you can see, I changed the video's composition. Originally, this video was supposed to be a 40-second non-repeating loop, like a [Dutch Angle], with some pretty intense struggling.

But I suddenly wanted to add a neck-breaking scene, so I decided to extend the video and include new content to make it more necro-themed. I toned down the intensity of the struggling to make it look like she’s on the edge of losing consciousness, with futile, weak movements. I think this will make the video more interesting. But it also means I’ll probably need another week to finish it. If things go well, we might end up with a video about the same length as [Ending].

Sorry to make everyone wait another week. I'll do my best to keep the video's length and quality up to par.

Should be ready in two days

Here’s the deal: I tweaked the skin texture to make her look like she needs to be licked, then added a scene I hadn’t even planned on. Blah blah blah, you know how it goes. I’ve got a ton of stuff piling up, so I’ll comment on this later when I’ve got time. Anyway, I’m aiming to wrap this video up in about two days.

June wip 01

Alright, so normally we'd kick things off by introducing the cover, but I mean, come on, does anyone not know who she is? So, I'm just gonna skip that part and drop the cover right here.

And while I’m at it, I’ll just throw in this week’s WIP so I can walk you through what we got done in week one. Basically, I wrapped up the entire static scene for [World Gym 2]. This video’s got four characters, and to keep the time cost manageable, I’m planning for this to be like [Dutch Angle]—a non-repeating 40-second video playback. But since we’ve got four characters, that’s gonna make it a 160-second video (if my math checks out). Each character will have different camera angles to keep things from getting stale. Oh, and the last second of the video will match the first second for that looping effect, you know, to keep everyone feeling healthy and motivated.

As for [Invade R], no progress compared to last week. After wrapping up the static scene for [World Gym 2] this week, I teamed up with my boys to dig into some AI stuff. One of the updates you’ve already seen on the cover image, and the other one’s right here.

I’ve set up a separate account to keep my AI works apart from my main account. Since this tech isn’t super mainstream yet, and Pixiv’s policy leans toward categorizing AI works separately while letting users filter them out in searches, I figured it’s best to upload them separately. If you’re curious about these works, I’ll drop the link here. I’ll be updating it with more stuff over time.

(frame embed)

Uh, where were we? Oh, right, I just wrapped up what we did in the first week of June. So, what’s on deck for week two?

Alright, here’s the plan for the second week of June. First up, on 6/12, I’m diving into Nekopara—yep, it’s a big deal. After two delays, it’s finally hitting DLsite, so I’m pumped. Then, I heard that on 6/16, 7 Days to Die is dropping its 2.0 test version update on Steam. Barring any surprises, I’ll probably be pretty hooked on that. But, you know, work’s still gotta get done. My goal is to wrap up World Gym 2 by next Sunday at the latest, so I can jump into the 2.0 update on 6/16 without any loose ends. After that, we’ll take a look at July’s commissions, see what’s still pending, and maybe squeeze in some progress on Invade R. Right now, finishing World Gym 2 this week looks totally doable. The only hiccup is I haven’t quite figured out how to handle Pekora. Worst case, she’s just a background character without any animation, which would mean a 40-second video with three characters stitched together. Still, that should be pretty fun.

That’s all I’ve got for now. If you have any questions, feel free to drop them in the comments below or hit me up on my server. Thanks for checking out the WIP—see you next week

June at KosoruCG

Oh my gosh, half the year’s already gone! As usual, I’ll start by explaining the cover. That’s [Invade R]. My longtime fans are probably familiar with this series, but if you’re new, you might not have seen it. Since [Invade] is one of my super early works, I’d even say it’s one of my most iconic. And I’m planning to remake it in June.

Actually, according to that annual plan I abandoned for a while and just picked back up, June’s schedule should be:

June:

• Leave this month open to address unfinished tasks and plan for the second half of the year.

But honestly, there’s not much going on with the community stuff. The only unfinished task on my list is probably adding an exclusive FANBOX# for the 1500 subscription tier. As for the annual plan, April’s “Collaborate with another creator to produce a video about an isekai girl team” and May’s “Remake the Picnic video” got pushed back by me. I’m not sure how long the delay will be, but I don’t think it’ll be too long.

This is a shot from [World Gym 2], which I’m currently working on alongside [Invade R]. Basically, I’m aiming to finish [World Gym 2] within the next two weeks, but it probably won’t take the full two weeks. Then, I’ll use the remaining time to prep for July’s commission, which is Illya’s yuri commission. That’s also in the annual plan. But since I don’t have detailed enough models ready, I need to spend time before July getting the models set for these videos. If you ask me, I have no clue how long Illya and Chloe’s models will take, so I’m just budgeting two weeks to sort out July’s commission.

If I wrap up [World Gym 2] quickly and get the July commission stuff sorted, then [Invade R] could drop this month. If not, it’s getting pushed to July. But July’s video is a yuri theme, which is a type I’ve never done before, so I’m guessing it won’t be a walk in the park. If you ask me when [Invade R] will come out, I’d say late this month at the earliest, or late next month at the latest. I’m still eager to get this content out to you guys as soon as possible.

Since [World Gym 2] is coming out first, let me give a quick rundown of what it’s about. I think the first episode had a solid foundation—great theme, characters, and setting. But I forgot what I was rushing for back then, so I didn’t polish it much before releasing it. Whoa, when I say polish, don’t worry—I’m not spending three months perfecting a project anymore. That time cost is just not worth it, and I can’t keep doing that. I think [World Gym 2] will have more shots and a longer runtime, probably close to the style of [Ending]: adding more poses and camera angles to stretch the video length and pack in more content. So, this scene actually has three characters, though Pekomama is the main one. I genuinely believe longer videos are more practical, no doubt. Considering a normal, healthy person can’t take care of their physical needs in forty seconds, I’m leaning toward stretching video length within my limited resources to keep things healthier for everyone.

Now let’s talk about [Invade R]. If you’ve seen the original, you’ll know it’s pretty much impossible to cram the entire [Invade] series into one episode. Two reasons: First, FANBOX has a 300MB upload limit. If a video goes over 300MB, I’d have to host it somewhere else for you to download, which sucks for everyone. Second, [Ending]’s 1K version is 200MB, and the 2K is 260MB. That means anything over three minutes basically can’t be uploaded to FANBOX. But I really don’t want to cut down the [Invade] series’ content. If I trimmed it to just three minutes, I might as well not bother remaking it. So, [Invade R] will probably end up as [Invade R 1/2], [Invade R 2/2], and [Invade R After]—three separate videos. That’s basically enough to be a month’s main update.

So, worst-case scenario: I’m swamped all June, so only [World Gym 2] gets done. Then July’s tied up with commissions, so no [Invade R] either. If that happens, August’s lineup would be [Invade R 1/2], [Invade R 2/2], and [Invade R After]—those three videos. That’s basically the plan. I’ll do my best to finish these videos and then find time to catch up on the annual plan stuff I’ve left hanging.

Getting back to the topic of waiting, in a way, I actually think some things are worth waiting for. Take No More Room in Hell 2, for example—its launch was a total disaster, pretty much as bad as Fallout 76. So here’s the question: should you polish your work or not? Obviously, making something good takes time. If you take the time to polish it, people have to wait. But if you rush it out half-baked, you’re basically feeding everyone crap. So how do you solve this? Let me tell you what I think you should do.

“Don’t waste money on shit nobody cares about.” [Ending] proved this point. [Ending] was made super fast, and for its content and length, I pulled it off with a great cost-to-value ratio. Are there flaws? Yeah. Do they matter? Nah. It still looks good and was done quick enough that people didn’t have to wait forever. But don’t get me wrong—I’m not saying everyone should skip polishing and churn out a bunch of half-assed stuff. In reality, you can’t skip those steps. If you’re some newbie creator hearing me say this, you might think, “Hey, KosoruCG says don’t waste time polishing, just make sure there aren’t any huge flaws!” Then you go off and make a bunch of rough, sloppy stuff. Let me tell you, that won’t work. You still have to go through that phase where you seriously study your craft and care about quality. Let me share a recent story with you guys to explain.

A few weeks ago, my dad texted me saying he had something important to talk about and asked if I had time for a call. As far as I know, he’s currently traveling in China with my mom. They said they wanted to see the landscapes those old Chinese poets wrote about in person. Well, that doesn’t sound like a trip where urgent stuff would pop up, but since he said it was important, I told him I was free. He called me right away and told me my cousin’s kid, who’s in elementary school, wants to get into making content for social media.

Oh shit, that sounds like a pretty serious deal. Who’d want their kid doing social media stuff when they’re still in elementary school? He told me my cousin’s worried this kid might do something dumb because they’re kind of aimless, so she wanted to ask for my advice. So my dad wants to add both me and her to the same group chat so we can talk, and she can ask me questions.

You know what’s the creepiest part of this whole thing? I’m a fucking active creator, working in this industry right now. If anyone’s got questions, it should be the kid asking me what to do, not the parent coming to me for advice. Then we got into the group chat, and she said she was busy with work and would reply later. And just like that, three days passed. Well, I guess she’s really that busy. Then, three days later, my dad was the one who spoke up first, asking, “Have you guys talked?” Only then did she respond, saying she’s still thinking about what questions to ask because she can’t come up with any.

You know why you can’t think of any questions to ask? Because this isn’t your job. It’s obviously not you who should be asking me questions—it’s your kid who should be talking to me. But fine, I didn’t say that. I just asked her, “So why does your kid want to get into this industry? Do you know their motivation?” Her response was that she “guesses” it’s just because it looks cool. Okay, to be honest, I don’t think she’s taking this seriously. So I told her, if you want to make sure your kid isn’t just acting on a whim or trying to dodge schoolwork, you should have her make a 50-second video for you. The topic can be introducing her favorite anime. Just 50 seconds, and she only has to show it to you. If she’s not even willing to do that, then you shouldn’t worry about this at all.

I told her this would test the kid’s ability to argue a point, express themselves, handle the camera, and edit a video. Plus, 50 seconds is a pretty standard length. So I said, have her do it and then we’ll talk. Well, her response felt kind of practical, but honestly, I thought it was too shallow, so I’m not thrilled about this whole thing.

She asked me if it’s possible for an elementary school kid to become a YouTuber. Why do I say I don’t like this question? Let me tell you.

The answer to that question is obviously no. You can’t make money doing this right now—unless she’s okay with her kid filming child porn, which, yeah, would make a ton of cash. But no parent in their right mind would agree to that. So it leads to another question: if she doesn’t start now, when will she? You know the dumbest thing about education? They cram a bunch of stuff you might use into textbooks and create a system, an SOP, trying to quantify success. Success is never something you can replicate or manufacture. If you stop her from trying just because it’s not viable now, she might never get there. You can’t expect her to do nothing from elementary school through high school and then magically become a content creator after college. That’s just not how it works.

But at the same time, I told her you’ve got to set a stop-loss point. You’re the investor right now because you’re raising her. You need to make her show results before you keep supporting her. So let her run her own channel. If the views or follower count don’t grow, you’ve got to make her quit. And you need to make it clear to her: it’s not that your mom doesn’t support you doing social media—it’s that you couldn’t make it work. It’s not up to your mom; it’s the market that decides.

You know, I’ve heard way too many sad stories. There’s always a bad guy or some excuse holding people back from success. My high school classmate would tell me his parents wouldn’t let him do something, so now his life sucks. A relative might say they’re doing so bad because they have to take care of their kids. An old coworker would complain that his life’s a mess because he’s stuck supporting his parents.

So my advice to her was: let her try, but keep an eye on her subscriber count and views. If it’s not working, you’ve got to stop her. And make sure she knows it’s the market rejecting her, not you holding her back, so she doesn’t end up resenting you later.

So if you’re trying to get started as a creator, don’t just hear me say I’m gonna ignore some visible flaws and copy that. If you always do that, you’ll never learn how to fix flaws or refine your work. You’ve got to go through the whole process—learn to polish and all that—so it becomes a choice you make, not the only thing you know how to do.

Alright, that’s all, Time to get back to making videos. If you’ve got any questions, feel free to hit up my server or drop a comment below. I’m happy to answer.

Ending

Alright, we’re wrapping up this month’s final video (even though there’s only two days left in the month). This one’s got that classic KosoruCG style, feeling a lot like my early work but with some upgraded tech. I’ve got a ton to say about it, so I think you should check out the video first. . .. ... Honestly, I think this is something you guys will dig, but it’s not my call—gotta wait for your feedback. Let me know if you’re into this style. That said, I should probably first tell you what I did. I already mentioned in the post for [Open Season R] that I’m planning to lower the quality. [Ending] is what you get after that downgrade. Compared to [New Management], there are way more flaws in the animation design and scene glitches—lots of visible imperfections just sitting there. But as long as they’re not super obvious or critical, I just let them slide. That’s how I managed to crank out a 2:50 video in half a month, while [New Management] took three months. I think this approach straight-up extends video length and packs in more content, and those ignored flaws aren’t too annoying. It cuts down a ton of production time to deliver more stuff for you guys. (By the way, if you watched it and didn’t notice any flaws or thought there weren’t any, that means I nailed it) I’ll probably post a monthly update in a couple of days to share what this video taught me, let you know what’s on my mind, and what we’re tackling in June.

[Stream Sniping 3] has gone public

Ugh, since I got a new computer, I lost the cover art for [Stream Sniping 3]. So, I just slapped on a random image as the cover. Anyway, [Stream Sniping 3] is now public! If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can go watch it now.

Open Season R

[Open Season R] is here, but it’s different from the plan. This isn’t my old-school style video—it’s a short loop, but I’ve added more impact to it. Think of it as a project that flopped with [New Management After] but got polished up. Before I explain why this suddenly turned into a short loop, you should check out the video first. . .. ... Alright, I’ve got good news and bad news. Let’s start with the bad news, ‘cause I like saving the good stuff for last—it feels more positive that way. The bad news is I’m planning to lower the quality of my work. Yeah, you heard that right, I’m gonna dial down the quality. So, what’s the good news? The good news is this means I’ll be making more story-driven content, varied compositions, and longer videos. Why do it this way? Let me break it down from two angles. The first angle is market research. You know I’m all about science and data. I studied the work of most creators out there (they’re really talented) and noticed something. Some projects aren’t super polished in terms of visuals—think quality, animation detail, story, or plot—but they’re super long, sometimes six to eight minutes, and they update frequently. Compare that to [New Management], a three-minute video that took me about three months to make. These creations look great, and tons of people watch them and say they love this kind of stuff. Plus, it’s not just once that someone’s told me they prefer my older-style videos, even though my recent work is clearly better in terms of visuals. That got me rethinking whether I’ve been putting my effort into the wrong places. The second point is, if you look at the AI art market, you’ll see that the most popular AI images come in huge batches. This means having enough images lets people get what they need on a single page without holding their dick and opening a bunch of tabs. Applying that logic to my earlier observation: objectively, it’s unlikely someone can satisfy their needs with a 40- or 60-second video unless they keep replaying it. This actually ties back to a conclusion I had a while ago: “looping key shots is the way to go for short films.” If a video isn’t long enough, continuous looping shots can achieve that physical satisfaction effect. But there’s another approach—making the video long enough. Looking at most videos out there in the community, the sweet spot seems to be around 2:20. I’m not sure why that’s the magic number, but I trust my predecessors were scientific enough, so there’s gotta be a reason. So, I decided to stretch Ryo’s animation, which was supposed to be done in April but is still in progress, to 2:20. I’ll dial back the quality a bit so you don’t have to wait another two months for a new video. Okay, so how does this tie to [Open Season R] becoming a short video? The truth is, I was supposed to release [Open Season R] about a week ago, but I had some new ideas and started experimenting. Then I kept adding stuff, felt dissatisfied, and scrapped it. I went back and forth, adding and deleting, until I hit a stopping point—today. I decided I couldn’t keep delaying this video, or else the other ones wouldn’t get made. So, here we are. I gotta be honest, [Open Season R] is one of those “it was supposed to have more content but I couldn’t pull it off, so I just released it” kind of deals. Still, I personally love this series. The reason it’s not called [Open Season After] but [Open Season R] is because I think I can still do an [Open Season After] later to try out some different ideas. Alright, let me wrap this up. I told you guys Ryo’s video would be done in May (like I mentioned in my last WIP). I’m also stopping myself from getting stuck on [Open Season R] because I really want to wrap it up in the next week. So, with Ryo’s video, I’m gonna try a new approach: stop endlessly chasing perfection and focus on adding more content instead. Let’s see if that works better. Alright, time to get back to making videos! If you’ve got any questions, feel free to drop them in the comments or hit up my server. I’m happy to answer https://discord.gg/AVm3TGhdYC

May WIP

Alright, we’ve wrapped up Ganyu’s video. Based on my May plan, there should be two more videos this month—the ones you’re seeing in those two images right now (don’t worry, the official versions won’t have Toothless). Let me tell you what’s different about them. I’m thinking about going with a new approach where I split my videos into three types: short, medium, and long. Right now, in my definition, [Dutch Angle] counts as a short film, but it’s got more substance than [New Management After] or [Met by Moonlight]. You’ve probably noticed those two videos are basically the same animation looped for 20 seconds. They’re not really full animations—honestly, they’re just 0.833 seconds long. So, I tried making a 40-second animation with varied content, which is [Dutch Angle]. It’s non-repetitive but keeps production costs low, making it great for showcasing simple concepts or compositions. Now, let me explain what a medium-length video would look like—or at least what I’m planning for it to be. What you’re seeing is a scene from [Open Season R]. Basically, short films skip a lot of the process, and the last frame matches the first to create a seamless loop for the effect I’m going for (I mean, most people can’t handle their business in 40 seconds—if you can, you might need to see a doctor). But this looping does limit the animation’s progression. It means if I want to include a “release” phase, it’d have to be smack in the middle of the video, around the 10-second mark, since the release would take about 20 seconds. For my medium-length films, I’m aiming for a vibe closer to my earlier videos. You start with some buildup to set the mood, then in the middle, we get to the main action, and it wraps up with the release phase. Unlike short films, the first and last frames of a medium film won’t be the same, which gives me way more room for variety. With [Open Season R], I’m planning to test if this experimental approach actually works. Finally, we’ve got the long videos. Basically, [New Management] is a true long video—it’s a whopping three minutes with a full start-to-finish performance, covering pretty much every event in the video. But as I’ve explained in earlier posts, doing it this way doesn’t actually make the video more engaging. So, I need to tweak what a “long video” means. With Ryo’s video, I’m gonna try something new. I know what you guys want: more poses, more camera angles, and a relatively complete storyline. That’s the whole point of a long film. So, I’ll focus on switching up poses and angles while skimming over the event details. For a good reference, check out [Stream Sniping 3]. I packed that one with a ton of poses and different playstyles. Then, in [Stream Sniping 5], I added a short storyline. So, Ryo’s video will probably be a mashup of [Stream Sniping 3] and [5]. It’s an experimental idea, but I think you’ll like the changes. Of course, we won’t know if it works until the video’s done and you guys give me your feedback. So, let’s look forward to the next two videos and see how they turn out. If you have any questions, feel free to drop them in the comments below or join my Discord server. Dutch Angle

I got caught up playing the new Apex season a few days ago, so my update's a bit late. Now that this video's done, I’m thinking I should make more Genshin videos. Before I start rambling, you should probably watch the video first. . .. ... Okay, here’s the thing. You guys probably know I made two videos last month. Both were 20-second clips, but the truth is, those 20-second videos were just 0.833 seconds of animation looped over and over. Basically, it was the same animation on repeat. Sure, it was quick to make, but I thought it wasn’t fun enough. So, I tweaked my approach a bit. This video is basically an upgraded version of what I’d call a "short film." It’s missing a lot of stuff, like costume changes or a proper story setup, but compared to my earlier so-called short films, it’s got a more complete, non-repetitive flow. So, the question is, "Was this hard to make?" Well, I'll just tell you straight up—the answer is "No". Yeah, the truth is, making a video with non-repetitive animation like this didn’t cost a ton. I’m planning to use this kind of video as a template for what I’ll call “short films” going forward. It’s got richer content, so it doesn’t feel like a boring, looped 20-second clip, but it also doesn’t jack up production costs to the point where I’m stuck forever making it. So, I think this video is a solid solution. It’s a model for a “short film” that has the non-repetitive shots of a longer piece while keeping the easy-to-make perks of a short one. This is a test video. If you guys like this format, I’m thinking future short films will follow this vibe as a template. Just chatting about my personal take on this video (ignoring all the boring production and technical stuff), I’m honestly super happy with the visual elements this time. I went with a style that’s closer to the Genshin worldview, so I think it looks really pleasing on screen. That was actually one of my main goals for this video. In fact, I’m even considering using it as my desktop wallpaper on Wallpaper Engine. Moving forward, I might lean into making more videos like this. I think this kind of video strikes a good balance between keeping up a regular update schedule and maintaining decent quality. It doesn’t take forever to produce, so you’re not left waiting, and the content isn’t just a 20-second loop that gets dull. But hey, that’s just my current thinking. If you’ve got any suggestions, feel free to drop them in the comments or swing by my Discord server. I’d love to answer any questions you have. https://discord.gg/AVm3TGhdYC

April at KosoruCG

That's right, weekly reports are back, but now they’re monthly reports because I don’t always have time to write every week. So, from now on, there’ll be a post at the end of the month letting you know what’s new this month and what’s coming next month.

Before we dive into this content, I’ll drop the cover image here in case any of you want it.

Let’s start with what everyone’s probably curious about. By now, most of you have seen my “Critical Notice” post where I announced I’m changing my operational strategy. Originally, the plan was to produce one video a month, about 60 to 90 seconds long. But for various reasons, I’ve decided against that. I’ve detailed the reasons for this decision in that post, and I suggest you check it out first.

Critical Notice

Thanks for coming guys. You know, I've been running FANBOX for over two years and never once used the word "critical." I don’t throw that word around lightly. But now, I think it’s time to slap that word on as a title. In short, I’ve decided to change my business strategy. I’ll start spending a l...

You’ve all seen it? Alright, let’s talk about what I’ve been up to this month. I’ll go over some of the data I’ve gathered and research results. Then I’ll answer some of your questions, and finally, we’ll discuss what’s planned for this month.

First things first, and the most important: "Why did [New Management] go public?"

Let me start with the conclusion: [New Management] isn’t actually a necro video—it’s a military exercise. Why do I say that? Let me explain.

Honestly, I’ve always believed my videos are for everyone’s benefit, whether you’re a subscriber or a necro fan. I’m personally super into this kind of content, so I’ve always believed in it. A while back, in my “Critical Notice” post, I mentioned that “the production costs were too high, I wasn’t making much money, and you guys didn’t seem to love it, so I switched to making short films.” That was the conclusion at the time.

Also, I spent pretty much all of April working on AI workflow stuff or other animation-related things. My observation is that the market actually prefers my short films. In fact, the two short videos I released in April brought in revenue close to what [New Management] made. This directly proves that people are more willing to pay for creators who put out content every month rather than someone who spends months crafting a masterpiece. It’s just not necessary—the market has proven that. But what I’m about to talk about next is even more crucial.

Actually, I already consulted Grok, gave it a ton of info, and had it use its DeepSearch feature to figure out what I should do next. It analyzed a bunch of data and references and concluded that I could work just six hours a week and maintain my current subscription rate, as long as I follow its methods. Well, that sounds way too tame, obviously. If I were 75, I might just go along with it and call it a day.

My friend has heard me rave about how awesome [New Management] is a bunch of times, but he’d never seen it. So I sent him the video so he wouldn’t have to pay me 500 yen. After watching it, he just said he’s not sure if my community is really into this stuff. He admitted it’s impressive animation, but it’s too straightforward and loses some of the fun—it doesn’t seem that entertaining.

That feedback got me thinking: “Are these scenes I designed really what everyone wants to see?”

I realized I fell into the mindset of a modern game company. Once I gained enough technical skill to do everything, I wanted to cram every technique I’d learned into my work. But not every scene is something people actually want to see. I might’ve made certain scenes just because they were really tough to pull off, not because they were particularly fun. Do you see the problem here?

“I’m making what I want to make, not what people want to see.” I’m showing off how impressive my skills are instead of creating what you want to watch. If you’re in my line of work, you’d probably be blown away by how amazing this stuff is and totally admire it. But if you’re not, you’d think some of it doesn’t even need to be there. It’s not that fun, and I’m just driving up my own costs.

So, I wasn’t actually making a super fun animation—it was a military exercise. I was showing everyone how many missiles and tanks I have. [New Management] was never a particularly entertaining video from start to finish. I got trapped in my own technical skills, and that directly led to me not being able to produce the Yamada Ryo video I planned for April, because I was overcomplicating things.

Once I realized this, I made a decision to fix the first mistake: I made [New Management] public. My friend told me the video is so polished and such a technical showcase that it’d be a shame if not everyone got to see it. So, yeah, I made [New Management] public.

If you have any friends who are into R18G or necro stuff, you can show them this video. That way, they’ll know who to turn to when they’re craving some necro content. That’s the real value of [New Management].

Alright, now you know [New Management] is a video that’s not particularly fun but looks impressive. So, what’s next? Let me tell you what’s coming up.

As you can see, it’s only been about twenty days since I posted “Critical Notice.” In that time, I even made two videos. In the post, I said I’d stop making long videos and explained the reasons. But now I’ve realized the issue isn’t that the cost of long videos is too high for me to handle—it’s that the costs I’m putting into the videos are for stuff people don’t want to see (technical showcases). This directly causes production costs to skyrocket while people aren’t getting more enjoyment. So, I think we should find a middle ground.

So, how exactly do we balance the costs? My current thinking is to pack more content into the visuals. Honestly, I should just let people guess what’s happening instead of animating every single event and playing it out for you. Because I still really want to follow through on the videos planned in the annual schedule—just in a different way. So, maybe next month or in a few weeks, I’ll share my new conclusions and how I’m going to execute things moving forward.

I haven’t come up with anything else new for now. If you have any questions, feel free to join my server or drop a comment below to ask. I’d be happy to answer your questions.

You, my friend, just scored a new side dish, and I got myself a fresh wallpaper. This video’s mainly about giving off a “Meat toy” vibe. I don’t know what you think, but I feel like it nailed the vibe I was going for when it was finished. For the short term, I’m probably gonna crank out a ton of these kinds of videos, then we’ll see how they do. Alright, I gotta bounce to work on my director’s special edition. Yup, you heard that right—I didn’t have everything ready before dropping this. I just finished this version first and fig ured I’d tackle the others later. My take is, if something’s done, just release it. Don’t sit on it and let everyone get bored. Same as always—if you’ve got any questions, feel free to drop them in the comments or hit me up on my server. I’m happy to answer anything you’ve got.

Critical Notice

Thanks for coming guys. You know, I've been running FANBOX for over two years and never once used the word "critical." I don’t throw that word around lightly.

But now, I think it’s time to slap that word on as a title. In short, I’ve decided to change my business strategy. I’ll start spending a lot of time researching AI drawing and related features, and I’ll open a Patreon account dedicated to R18 content. I’ll also start mixing R18G 2D hand-drawn art into my current Fanbox. I won’t be developing KK or its animation-related tech anymore, but I’ll still use KK for videos.

Alright, you already know what’s coming, but let me fill you in on the details. This isn’t some super serious post or me trying to criticize anything. Actually, before I dive in, let me just say this is gonna be some fun stuff. I’m about to lay out how I’m gonna make this a win for everybody.

Basically, I think this issue popping up was still within my expectations. But I can tell you guys without holding back that, in fact, the improvement of technology and the refinement of animations have significantly increased my workload while also greatly reducing my income. I think this needs to be discussed from three angles.

The first thing is that I think I’ve pushed KK to some kind of technical limit in a way. There’s definitely still a lot I could learn about animation techniques, but I feel like this is pretty much a soft cap. So, I think it’s about time to start learning other skills.

The second thing is that the refinement and technical development inevitably led to fewer updates, which has actually cut my income in half. This makes sense because if someone updates once every three months, you’d only subscribe once every three months (thanks to those who don’t unsubscribe every month even when I don’t update). I’ve publicly shared before that my income was around 300,000 yen, and now it’s 150,000. That’s reaching a dangerous threshold. It’s not that I’m making less money and want more, so I’m changing strategies—it’s that if it keeps dropping, I’ll have to switch careers and won’t be able to keep creating.

The third thing is that I once said doing something you love means you’re willing to spend more time on it for less money, and I’d still do it. I still feel that way now. I think New Management was my way of giving thanks to the entire doujin animation scene, the R18G community, the whole Ryona community, and all the fans out there. As a Ryona enthusiast myself, I’m just like you—practically swimming through the internet every day looking for this stuff. I’d bet the creators I know, you know too, and the works you’ve seen, I’ve probably seen most of them as well. I wouldn’t dare say New Management is the best one out there, but I think it deserves more recognition. Yet, if you look at the view count, it’s just barely over 10,000, while some random AI-generated loli porn can easily surpass that. So, even though I wanted to contribute to art, I think I picked the wrong approach.

So, honestly, my bad decisions led me to screw up three things at once. First, as tech got better and quality went up, I didn’t make more money—instead, my workload just ballooned. Second, my subscribers they’re not exactly on board with it. I mean, logically, if they were on board, I’d have more subscribers, not half of what I used to have. Third, the art isn’t getting out there. Only ten thousand people are seeing this stuff. It’s a lose-lose for everyone. I messed up everything.

Well, that’s kind of an impressive feat in its own way. You spent more money, didn’t earn any extra, and your audience isn’t any happier than before. I thought only Disney pulled off stuff like that.

btw, in my highest subscription month, I made 340,000 yen, and that was during the production of Lucky Day.

And the production quality of Lucky Day is nothing compared to my recent work. It’s just that during that time, my output was high enough.

Honestly, if you look in the right places, you’ll see I’m basically pirating my own stuff. The only video I haven’t made free to the public so far is "New Management"—everything else is out there. That should show you how committed I am to sharing my art.

So what are you gonna do? are you quit? I hear you asking, and man, you’re asking the right guy.

My way of operating isn’t actually making anyone happy.

That’s a problem I’ve realized, and I think it needs to be fixed.

I’ve told you guys the reasons, so now let’s talk about what I think should be done.

The truth is, I think the AI technology I have in my hands is pretty solid. With about another month of fine-tuning, it’ll be ready to go. I’ll start posting mainstream R18 AI art directly on Patreon to charge most people. Plus, another technology I’m currently working on can drastically cut down on the tedious parts of drawing. I don’t know how many of you know this, but I can actually draw. Patreon bans R18G, and Fanbox bans AI art, so this is actually a good idea.

My subscribers can see a ton of KK Ryona animations, and my animation updates can be super fast since I’ll stop researching new tech and making long films. On top of that, I’ll start creating hand-drawn Ryona comics or illustrations to break through KK’s technical limits and make the content I’ve always wanted, contributing to art. Then, I’ll have a Patreon account specifically for uploading a bunch of R18 pure-love, mainstream-style art to keep my creative work going, so everyone wins.

I was already planing to make a game by 2030. If my plan works, I’ll get more income and time to finish that game. Otherwise, with my current situation—poor and busy—it’ll definitely push me further away from my goal. Okay, that’s basically all of it.

I’ve already told you how this happened, what I’m thinking, and how I’m going to handle it. If you have any thoughts or questions, I’d be happy to answer them.

Okay that's talk about something else hmm? Let me tell you what’s on my mind.

If this sounds pessimistic, like “I’m out of options,” I actually don’t think it is. Quite the opposite.

I think I currently have a solid grasp of KK technology. I can create high-quality work in a short amount of time as long as the animations aren’t too long or stuffed with too much content—they’ll still be great. Then I can start spending time diving into new tools or techniques. This is absolutely a good thing.

Everyone can regularly have animations to watch because I’m stopping development, and then I’ll shift to researching other techniques to one day bring even better work to everyone. I think this is a way for everyone to win.

Let’s say I release an animation like Level 6 every week. I’d need to spend less than six hours a week on animation production, maxing out at eight hours. Then everyone gets four animations a month to watch. In reality, I’d be working less time, and people’s willingness to subscribe would shoot up because there’s new stuff to see every week.

The result is that I spend less time and end up making more money

Uh, Level 6 is totally a trash animation, but it’s effective—kind of like The End of the Adventure

When I say trash, I don’t mean it’s bad or terrible—actually, the opposite. They’re super useful. If you just want to get off in the shortest time possible, they’re the most effective type.

You know, based on the data I have, the top three most popular works are The End of the Adventure, Picnic 01, and Stream Sniping. If you ask me about the production difficulty of these three, assuming difficulty is ranked from 1 to 6, it’d probably be 1, 3, 3.

So I’m gonna make a bunch of scammy AI porn pics to sell on Patreon, then churn out a ton of super trashy short videos on FANBOX, constantly updating to keep people hooked. After that, I’ll move on to the next field I want to break into.

It’s not real estate or stocks. I’m either gonna take this tech and money to start an animation company or crank out a bunch of R18G games. Either way, I’m circling back to R18G—it’s where I was born, it’s where I belong. For now, though, I’m probably gonna use a ton of AI-generated art to rake in some cash. I mean, there’s definitely a crowd out there who wants a flood of spicy stuff to satisfy their daily cravings, right?

I get the time and money to experiment with new stuff, you guys get more videos, and the folks on Patreon hunting for AI-generated spicy art get their fix. Everybody wins.

When you clicked on this post, you might’ve thought I was about to drop some heavy, serious stuff or whatever. Nope. I’m here to tell you I’m making sure everyone wins—everyone gets what they want. #WorldPeace

Alright, you might be wondering—am I still making videos and KK scenes? The answer is yes, and there’ll be even more than before. You probably won’t see videos with more than two shots, though. But trust me, you’re still gonna want to watch this stuff—because I sure do. My current wallpaper is Level 6. I uploaded an uncensored version of Level 6 to Wallpaper Engine and set it as my background. Imagine firing up your computer every day and seeing that. Why not? This stuff is practical.

Oh, and about the videos I had planned for this year—I’m still figuring out how to handle them. Probably gonna trim them down, pick the best shot, and turn it into a punchy, spicier short video. Still mulling it over, though. Anyway, if you’ve got any questions, drop them in the comments or swing by my server. I’d be happy to answer.

Requiem production has started

Okay, here’s the deal: ever since New Management wrapped up, I’ve still got three short films in the works plus a bunch of new scene remakes. If you’re in my server, you can check out this stuff in the WIP or chat sections. But since none of it’s finished yet, I’m not gonna post anything on FANBOX and spam everyone’s Gmail with notifications for incomplete junk. I’m just working on these things while figuring out my next steps. Let me fill you guys in on my current plans.

If you’ve checked out my annual plan, you’ll see that from 3/10 to 4/10, I was supposed to be working on:

March

• Create a video featuring Yamada Ryo, as per the lucky draw request.

Truth is, I’m only just starting on this video now. I’m hoping I can get it out on time by 4/10 for you all to see. If I can’t, I’ll delay it a bit to make sure the quality’s solid, but I don’t think it’ll be too long. Working on New Management leveled up my skills a ton, so I’m not too stressed about it. Let me talk about a few things you guys might be interested in.

The first thing is, how can I finish a new video in five days? The answer is by cutting down on length and details. I know, I’m like you—I want every video to be like New Management with three minutes, tons of shots, and loads of details. But if I do that, you’d probably only see me update once every six months, and that’d get boring for everyone. So, I have to compromise. But don’t worry, even with these compromises, I’ll make sure the quality still holds up.

The second thing I want to talk about is this: as you pointed out, Requiem has six characters. That basically makes the workload insane because I need to create death scenes for all six and necro them, all in the same video. I can pretty much expect to be overworking myself (which I’m used to anyway). So even if I start on 4/10, I can’t guarantee I’ll finish by 5/10. Honestly, I can say with near certainty that I won’t finish by 5/10 unless a miracle happens. That means I’ll likely eat into the time originally set aside for May’s video:

May

• Remake the Picnic video.

So the Picnic video will either get delayed or turn into some short films with extra shots. But I absolutely need to keep June free because in July, I’m tackling Illya’s yuri commission, which is super tough since it’s an area I’ve never worked in before. So basically, my expectation is to release Ryo’s video on 4/10—I’ll finish it as fast as I can—then start on Requiem. That might take from 4/10 to 6/10, but I’m aiming to pull off death scenes and necro for all six characters. Trust me, you’ll feel like it’s worth it.

Another thing worth mentioning is that all six characters in Requiem weren’t made by me, and neither was the scene. They were created and provided by our Necro friend. I only tweaked some lighting effects, and I’ll be using the six characters he gave me in the video without making any personal changes. I think the characters he made still have a lot of fans who’ll love them, so I’m keeping the girls as they are. If you want to get to know this creator or check out his other work, you can find him on my server. He doesn’t have a Pixiv account, so I can’t point you to a homepage for him.

Basically, I think I’ll finish Ryo’s video in the next few days since there aren’t any overly complex new techniques to figure out. Most of what the winner requested has already been tested in New Management. Once I finish and release Ryo’s video, I’ll share more updates about Requiem. I see Requiem’s production difficulty as the next New Management, and I’ll treat it as a flagship release. As for Level 6 or the short films I mentioned earlier that I’m working on, those will drop randomly whenever I suddenly finish them.

Okay, that’s everything. If you have any questions, feel free to hop into my server and ask, or just drop a comment below. I’d be happy to answer anything you’ve got

Waves crash gently on the shore,

9 shells gleam, I seek for more,

Fresh breeze lifts my weary soul,

3 clouds drift, I feel whole,

Zesty hues paint the dusk,

8 stars shine through twilight’s husk,

Peaceful tides hum a tune,

4 dreams rise beneath the moon,

Midnight wraps me in its hold,

7 wishes, soft and bold.

A lot more plans are now open

This is a continuation of the previous post. If you haven’t read my KosoruCG 2.0 Update, I suggest you check out that post first. But skip the part about DaVinci Resolve because I scrapped that plan and switched to a simpler method instead.

KosoruCG 2.0 Update

Hello guys, from the start of New Management’s production until now, I’ve left a lot of things unresolved. My plan is to use this February to wrap them up. In this post, I’ll answer all your questions and let you know what changes are coming next. Alright, let’s get straight to the point! **Speci...

Basically, in the last post, I explained most of the issues, how they came up, and the reasons behind my decisions. This post is just some notes specifically about the "a lot more" plan. But if you still have questions, feel free to hit me up on my server or leave a comment below.

The "a lot more" plan will cover all videos starting from {New Management} onward. So, videos before {New Management} won’t get new 2K versions. However, since recording the 2K version of {New Management} is pretty tricky, I expect it’ll take another day or two before the 2K version of {New Management} is ready. In the meantime, I’ve uploaded the 2K Director’s Special Cut of {Level 6}, which was easier to finish. And basically, all 2K videos will definitely exceed FANBOX’s 300MB limit, so there’s no way to upload them directly to FANBOX for everyone to watch

**Special sauce**

Yeah, ever since New Management wrapped up, a ton of people have been hitting me up about the Special Sauce stuff. For obvious reasons, I can’t offer those versions on Fanbox. After the video dropped, so many people came asking for it that I started digging into what the best approach might be. Basically, after a ton of research, pretty much all the data shows that more and more people are trying to share Special Sauce and getting ban. With the Japanese internet police increasingly cracking down on Fanbox, they’re getting stricter by the day. So, putting Special Sauce videos up on Fanbox? Not gonna happen. Let me walk you through the kind of research I’ve been doing.

**Other creator platforms**

Honestly, I like Patreon’s features way more—they’ve got a much better system than Fanbox. But they’ve got a hard ban on all loli and R18G stuff. From what I’ve heard, they’re basically prejudiced against any small-chested women, so all you’ll find there is a bunch of pure love big-boob content. Then look at me—a freaking loli necro creator. I’d get banned in a heartbeat, no question. As for Fantia, I don’t think any supporter would actually like their setup. Want to see an old post? You’ve got to subscribe to that specific month to unlock it. As someone who’s both a creator and a subscriber to others, I think that’s a bit of a cash grab. There’s no need to make it that tough on everyone. As for other creator platforms, I’ve looked into them a little too. The bottom line? Nothing beats Fanbox. Even though I complain about it a lot, Fanbox is honestly the best option out there.

**How about putting the Special Sauce content on the cloud like we used to?**

Basically, there are two big things to consider with this. First, you’d have to figure out who gets access to the content and who doesn’t. That means dealing with a bunch of authentication, identity groups, or eligibility stuff. But Fanbox doesn’t integrate with any external programs, so it’s such a time sink that I’d rather just make it free for everyone to see (I’ll get into that in the later section). Second, if I did go back to how things were and put all the Special Sauce content in something like the “Past Works” I used to offer, letting everyone watch it for free, there’d be another issue: the time cost.

**The technical difficulties of creating different versions of videos**

Trust me, if Fanbox didn’t ban uncensored content, I’d slap 1K uncensored videos right into the 500-yen tier for everyone to see—it’d be so much easier that way. Let me break down how those mosaics come to be. Basically, to keep the mosaics covering what Fanbox wants hidden, I either swap the object’s texture straight to a mosaic texture or stick a transparent mosaic-textured sphere onto the female character’s crotch. That crap is a total pain because, obviously, the video doesn’t have mosaics when it’s first made. So, I have to start with an uncensored version, then tweak the animation scenes for Fanbox’s rules by adding mosaics, record it, and edit a mosaiced version. And if people want the uncensored stuff, I’d have to rerun the scene, record it again, and edit another version without mosaics. The thing is, with how complex the animations and effects are, even my 5080 GPU paired with a 9900X CPU drops frames. That means I’m stuck re-recording and re-editing, which eats up even more time. If I made two versions of every video, it’d be insanely time-consuming—and for what? Just the difference of having mosaics or not. I think the payoff’s way too low, and I really don’t want to bother. So, I came up with a solution for this.

**The solution**

Okay, so we’ve figured out that dropping Special Sauce on Fanbox is a no-go—you’d get banned instantly. Plus, nudging people to download it elsewhere is also against the rules, and a bunch of folks have already gotten caught. Right now, there’s no platform out there better than Fanbox for uploading this kind of content, so I’m stuck working with them for now. But every time I finish a new video, having to go back and record another uncensored version feels like a giant waste of time. I don’t want to deal with it, and honestly, it’s not like people are getting anything that amazing out of it anyway—so it’s just not worth the effort. So, what’s the fix?

"I’m rolling out a 1500 yen subscription plan to create a tier for advanced users."

**Advanced subscription plan**

This new subscription plan will include a DaVinci Resolve file. You’ve probably seen how some creators share PDF files of their work for you to open in Photoshop—not to teach you how to draw in Photoshop, but for a purpose most people already get. So, with this new plan, the file you get can be opened in DaVinci, and it’ll be a video with layers. One of those layers will be completely black, so when you open the file, all you have to do is delete that top black layer, and you can export a 2K video with the Special Sauce included. That’s everything in the advanced subscription plan.

**That’s it? no more content, just 2K and Special Sauce?**

Yep, that’s it. A bunch of people have asked if the 3000-yen plan comes with longer videos, or some have suggested I should roll out more subscription tiers because they want more content. First off, I really appreciate how much they enjoy my work and want more of it. But here’s the thing: “Launching a pricier plan isn’t going to get you longer videos.”

Let me break this down. Say my max output is one minute of animation per month. If you’re hoping to see more than that, only one thing would happen: I’d launch a 1500-yen plan and tell you subscribing to it gets you more video, while the 500-yen folks only get 40 seconds. So, in reality, it’s not that you’re getting more—it’s that the 500-yen subscribers are getting less. You’d just end up paying more without actually seeing more animation, because I’m already giving everything I’ve got. One minute a month is my limit, so more isn’t possible. Plus, the 500-yen tier would end up with even less content, and that’s not what I want.

**Why didn’t make 2K videos before?**

If you’ve checked out my past work, you’d notice some of it’s in 2K, and a few pieces even hit a ridiculous 1GB. That forced me to stash the videos on sketchy sites like MediaFire, where you’d have to crawl through a super slow download for a 1GB file—it’s basically torture. Ever since Rat, I haven’t put out any 2K videos. Why? Well, I ran a poll on Twitter back then asking people about the devices they use. About 50% were on phones, 40% had 1K screens, and the rest—2K, laptops, or tablets—made up maybe 10%. So, making 2K videos would tank download speeds for most people. Plus, you can’t watch them directly on Fanbox because of their 300MB upload limit, so you’d have to go elsewhere or download a zip file. I think that’s pretty unfriendly for regular users—you subscribe to someone, they drop a new video, and it’s a zip file stuck on Google, Mega, or wherever, and you’ve got to download and unzip it just to watch. So, post-Rat, no more 2K versions. Two reasons: First, the scene complexity shot up back then, and my computer was struggling to keep up. Second, like I said, Fanbox’s 300MB limit. A 2K video would definitely blow past that, meaning it couldn’t stay on Fanbox—you’d have to grab it from somewhere else.

**Who’s this 1500-yen advanced subscription plan for?**

From my perspective as a subscriber myself, I’d find it pretty annoying if I subscribed to someone and they stuffed everything into a zip file that I had to download from some other site. That’s why I originally made all my videos in 1080p and uploaded them straight to Fanbox—so everyone could just play them right there. I think that’s the most convenient setup, and it’s why I stuck with that format back then. But now, if people want 2K versions or even Special Sauce videos, I figure those who have that kind of demand probably won’t mind an extra step or two—kind of like the folks who subscribe for Photoshop PDF files. So, this advanced plan is for people who want 2K videos and Special Sauce, and don’t mind spending a bit more time to access and export the files. But there’s no extra video length or anything like that.

**Will there be any changes to the 500 or 3000 yen plans?**

Nope, everything stays exactly the same as before.

**When will this 1500-yen plan show up?**

I’m planning for March, or maybe even sooner, depending on how quickly I can wrap up the last few details. Once the plan rolls out, every video will come with a 2K Special Sauce version, but it’ll be tucked inside a DaVinci Resolve file. I’ll also put together a video showing how to extract the Special Sauce from the DaVinci Resolve file.

**Other updates for KosoruCG 2.0**

I think there are too many upgrades to explain each one—it might not be great to go through them all. Basically, I can now pull off stuff that used to be impossible due to technical limitations. Everything’s faster and better. When I can finish a video in less time, I’m not just going to wrap it up quicker—I’ll add more content instead. For example, I used to be able to finish a video with three shots in a month. Now, I’ll use that month to make a video with fifteen shots.

And this year, I think my production process will be way more organized. Planning out what to do and when in advance should cut down on a lot of disasters. Plus, my character creation skills have leveled up big time. Basically, I can now make much more polished characters, so that should also reduce a bunch of issues tied to character production. Right now, my plan is to stick to the yearly schedule and see how these changes play out by the end of the year.

**2025 Annual Content Plan**

February

• Focus on community updates and handling pending tasks.

March

• Create a video featuring Yamada Ryo, as per the lucky draw request.

April

• Collaborate with another creator to produce a video about an isekai girl team.

May

• Remake the Picnic video.

June

• Leave this month open to address unfinished tasks and plan for the second half of the year.

July

• Create a yuri-themed commission featuring Illya and Kuro, to celebrate their birthdays on July 20.

August

• Produce a request video for Prinz Eugen, fulfilling a promise to the person who provided the character and authorization.

September

• Release the full version of Loot0, featuring Okayu, as a standalone story.

October

• Create the full version of Loot1, featuring Korone, completing another standalone story.

November

• Complete the second lucky draw video, starring SAO’s Asuna, with the premise of Kirito failing to rescue her from Oberon.

December

• Leave this month open to address unfinished tasks and wrap up the year.

**Some short videos**

Like Level 6—this video wasn’t part of the production plan at all. I just made it on a whim. For stuff like this, if I’ve got extra time, I’ll whip it up and release it for free. Unless, of course, you’re after the Special Sauce version. So, honestly, the videos you’ll see this year won’t just be the ones laid out in my annual plan.

Okay, that’s about it. I can’t think of anything else right now. I’ve still got some stuff to deal with, and I’m going to play Monster Hunter for like a week. So, I’ll probably write the next weekly update around March 10th, where I’ll dive into the details of March’s video production plans. I’ll probably just show off the characters I’ve already finished so everyone can take a look.
